I’ve looked at a million videos trying to find the one felt the most comfortable with. I like the 3 ponytails way better than 2, using 2 looks like 2 layers.
Thank you! ❤Just did this and it came out beautiful! Tired of waiting for a hair appointment. Saved myself $110 . I have long wavy/curly hair , fine but lots, length is past my bra strap. I'm very happy finding this video 🎉 Back again ✂️ 😊😊❤
This is an absolutely excellent tutorial. Thank you for sharing this with the world ❤ Clearly you are extremally talented! I tried this haircut on myself and is a huge hit! I am not a hair dresser, but would like to share some things that I noticed while trying this haircut: This is a great cut for thick hair, and a great fit if you have thick+wavy hair and would like to take some weight off overall. This is a very low maintenance haircut for people who do not like to style regularly. If you have medium and long hair and do not want to loose length, you start cutting from the last ponytail i.e. cut from the back, and into the front one. Sectioning with this cut is literally everything, and is the hardest part, especially if you are cutting yourself with no help. Tip: Section the front part first, then the bottom i.e. the last part, and the leftover hair as the center part. Good luck 😘
TY very glad I didn't get to chopping before finding this video. Only explanation I have found in all this internet madness. Everyone is just putting it up and just randomly cutting with no idea where to direct the hair.
Did this on myself and I love it. I also found a tutorial for Japanese style bangs & oh my god the combination of that with this cut it’s so beautiful ❤
Thank you for this video I have long curly hair halfway down my back and I did exactly as you demonstrated and it turned out wonderfully best video ever
I so wished I came across this video prior. After searching for weeks here to find what made the most sense, I finally found you! Yay! LOL. You are easiest to follow with clear and direct steps. I will be trying this tonight and have high expectations for a great turn out.
Wow! Excellent instructions & so beautiful. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to post this. You answered some key questions I've wondered about for a while. 10+ stars!
I really love your DIY videos …..I would love to also see what the cut would look like straight and curly…..so many hair stylist on here use dark haired models which I think are much harder to see the cut.
Another spectacular tutorial Chris 👏 you're an excellent educator! A coupla questions.. If i want to add a side fringe would it be sectioned separately to the front layer? Or is it best to cut following your instruction so the style flows properly, keep the front section long, and then go in separately for the fringe last? Do these ponytail cuts work best on dry straightened hair? Does it need to be damp? And most importantly.. if my hair is down to my bum am i best to remove some length first? I need to lose some length but still desire to have long hair, I could literally take off 10 inches and majority would still classify it as extra long haha Would you recommend this tutorial for longer hair over your wolf cut tutorial? It's been about 15 years since i had my "wolf cut" and i loved how easy it was to live with, I'm not ready for the overall length to be that short again but don't mind shorter layers on top. Would the wolf cut ponytail method end up looking weird if i kept length at the back/ bottom? Or would it possibly turn out similar to your disconnected layers tutorial? Thank you so much for having your channel, thanks to you i was able to maintain my red violet hair throughout 2 years of Melbourne lockdowns by discovering affinage infrared on your channel, and my regrowth needs doing again but i need to remove some hair first so i can see what I'm doing 😆 thanks mate i look forward to your advice ✌
I am wondering the same thing. I tried it today on already butterfly-d cut from last month and cant tell.. Maybe once my hair settles down ( its floofy) it will be more obvious. So far to looks more like a fox tail pulled back in one pony compared to before that lmao looked like a quality makeup brush :)
It does work on shoulder length hair. As long as your hair is long enough to do the sectioning. I have shoulder length wavy/curly hair, I did this cut about 10 months ago and have let it grow since, now that my ends are so split I'm here learning how to do it again!!
I disagree I have curly hair and have cut my hair like this for more than ten years. It gives my curls way more bounce and definition and take the heaviness away from the bottom.
Honestly, this is the worst cut I've ever seen! Nobody wants ends that look damaged and thin! And thats a mannequin with lots of hair. Imagine if its someone with half that hair.
I have curly hair and have cut my hair like this for more than ten years. It takes the heaviness away from the bottom which is every curly haired persons pet peeve and it gives the illusion of way more volume than I actually have. I blunt cut only.
@Hale Yea You're lame. I dont care about your curly ends. Do you see curly ends in this mannequin? The cut makes it look thin and scraggly! Your comment is irrelevant.

Exactly what I was looking for! Just did this and my hair turned out great. Thanks!

I love it! I just did this and it gave me what I wanted I could cut more!! I have long hair and was long for a change.😃
Best tutorial on how to do this haircut on youtube ❤ so brief, clear and detailed

I've had waist length hair for a long time, and want a change, but not something drastic. This might be what I have been looking for.

THANK YOU I was able to accomplish a BEAUTIFUL layer style🎉
Sooo soft & pretty Who wouldn't love it. 💗
Great tutorial. Beautiful haircut!

Yes just cut as normal
@@HairTutorials thank you!!
It’s so so cute 🥰 love ❤️ it & will be trying it!!!
May I ask how long your hair is? My hair is only shoulder length, but I want to do this soooo bad. TIA
what the difference between splitting your hair in 3 ponytails or 2? I’ve seen it both ways
I am wondering the same thing. I tried it today on already butterfly-d cut from last month and cant tell.. Maybe once my hair settles down ( its floofy) it will be more obvious. If U want 2 layers then 2 pony tails if U want 3 layers then U have to do 3 ponytails
Lo hice y me quedó hermoso🤧 lo amo🩷
I like this color hair how to achieve that 😊
We just love love love everything about you❣️
gonna try thuis wish me luck
Excellent.
I love it! Thank you!
So do we do the cut with dry hair then?
I’m doing it ❤
Can you show us how to style it?
Perfect ✨✨✨✨👍👍👍🙌🙌
Will tthis work om shoulder length hair

What is this color? What should I ask for?
Looks like an ash blond with a little bit of pink tones (i’m not an hairdresser)
I was thinking the same, looks like strawberry blonde
Show them this
Good
Unfortunately this leaves the ends looking stringy more so if you’ve got fine or curly hair. Who’d want that

I m a hairdresser.... I say no ...please not...
