Don't blame 'Shatan' for choosing the wrong topics or questions in exams from the test paper, as writing a good essay or report depends upon having thorough knowledge of the chosen topic, writing skills, vocabulary and, how authentic and relevant text are presented, etc.
And does the chosen essay convey the salient messages and, key points are covered in a professional manner - be specific, construct paragraphs in a logical order, give relevant examples, be short and add concluding remarks to emphasise on the key topics.
Don't encourage participants to look for excuses if they fail to perform satisfactorily in their exams - teach them to be positive, confident, and rely upon their knowledge, preparation prior to exams and writing skills rather than looking for silly excuses for their failure.
