I am for as long as I can remember, I have had chest pain. I had all the tests going without a diagnosis was told it was chest wall pain. Back 6 months ago, I was told that due to my high cholesterol, I would have a heart c scan with contrast dye and medication to slow my heart down . I had the results and told I have a nonobstructive heart disease and put on betablockers and blood thinners then given an appointment for 6 months time to have a telephone conversation to discuss it further! I went on a heart forum and they said its just you have plaque in my arteries but not enough to block them! Listening to you it can be a lot more than a little plaque.
Was just diagnosed with MINOCA. Troponin was 3700. Just discharged about a week ago. On the routine MI meds now. Metoprolol, Atorvastatin, Plavix, and ASA
I’m desperately looking for the right doctor/ facility to get the right diagnosis, I been having so many symptoms and the ER keeps telling me I have GERD and panic attack … I’m so frustrated, I know something else is going on and your testimonies have been so relatable. Can someone please help me! I’m in Ohio area. My father and grandfather including some uncles have heart diseases Thank You 🙏
Cleveland Clinic and (not as close) Mayo Clinic both have specialized diagnostic testing. My cardiologist said this was "extremely rare" and I had to find specialists myself, in NYC. Best of luck!
Thankyou so very much for this helpful video. Until now, I have found it hard to find much more than very basic information on this condition. My cardiologist has suggested I have microvascular angina, and is trying ne on treatments that at some stages help me a lot, and other stages not so much, and at such times that they dont help all that much, symptoms make life a struggle.
My mom’s heart rate was completely going from 20 to 55 to 33 to75bph. Every time she comes home from cardiologist she says the angiogram is good. I can see she something is wrong she needs to stop saying agreeing ignorance. She says, obviously lying that her medicine is working.. she won’t let me get her or listen to anything I saying I’m. I’m watching my mom dye… I know her Dr is not going the extra mile. I have been watching her slowly die. The Drs that care for her she’s worked with for years. I’m going to be her nosey daughter if she’s really that scared to ask for more answers. If Lee goes with her, they can’t get the help when Lee and his co- workers are shop talking. She is already ashamed of me . I’m going to help her get her life back…. The good Mormon girl is perfect. I’m glad we got some progress in today..
.It isn't a women's issue, it's just a 60% predominance. Not useful being a wah wah wah women's issue NOAC , vasospastic angina CAD . sure as h undertreated, but harder than h to demonstrate. Not a lot of folks want to give Ach intracoronary to see what happens or do the flow studies

I have a recent diagnosis 3/27 and I seriously felt so understood in this webinar! It is such a lonely and frustrating process.
Thank you so much for this. We really need more publicity, more information, and a wider understanding of this disorder!

Thank you for putting this video "Overlooked and Undertreated: Non-Obstructive Heart Disease in Women" I myself have been overlooked over the years!

Was the Lancet article referenced in the video made available?
