i came to the comment section to see if anyone bothered to explain. im not disappointed. yes, this song is dedicated to her friends whom due to unfortunate events, arent in the world anymore. all three committed suicide. when her good friend sulli died, she's devastated. but whats more sad is that her other friend(hara) committed suicide weeks after sulli's death. hara, sulli, and iu are all great friends. hara have depression way before sulli died. so u could guess its the last straw for her.
iu was performing at a concert that day. she's halfway through the concert when she heard of her second friend's(hara's) passing. let me tell you, the next song she sung absolutely broke my heart.
