My favorite episode of this extremely satisfying feel-good drama. The rich guy is full of regret because she was his online gaming partner, but he dumped her while not knowing her true identity. The movie version that came later was a disappointment because it couldn't compress the drama to do it justice.
I'm thinking about starting this drama..is it good? Cause the last drama I watched ended up being depressing in the end😂 I don't wanna wast my time again

In the novel, the group eventually knows that Naihe is WeiWei's boyfriend (but not his real name). Nini spills the beans with WeiWei's permission. The scene here is slightly different in the novel.

I actually don't like this scene much. As I have gotten older, you just learn to stay away from the people who are out to get you, they usually never change and love to get one up on everyone around them. It's just too exhausting. This one may be young rich kids who never met new people but maybe some have the possibility for change. Her character was refreshing to them and hopefully they think outside their box for a moment.
It also shows you to be aware. Her friend tricked her into going into that situation for her own gain. She left early when she realized what happened and when the friend tried to make her stay, she took her hand off and said no. She also dodged the friend every time she tried to get her to compete. She handled it well. She put both her naysayers and users in their place

Well, these are young people who are also online gamers (reminds me of the early days of the internet when I was younger. I'm in my 50s now). I would had left after beating the mean girls at the game, but if you noticed she didn't partake of the dinner. She was looking for a way out and Nai helped unintentionally. As a 20-something is hard to get out of weird situations with grace.

He dumped her since he thought she might be a man because she didn't share her identity. Yeah, he shouldn't have listened to rumours nor pressure her to reveal herself when she wasn't comfortable. But his concern was valid, since they were dating for some time and he knew nothing about her. If this was a female in his position and she was afriad her partner might be hiding something (like being a pervert, a serial killer, or just a 15 years old) it would have been valid as well.
You don't string along people who love you when they say their concerns. Otherwise they have the right to move on.
But yeah he handed the situation poorly. Yet I feel the drama would have been more interesting if they focused on that part (the heroine was a bit at fault).
They were not "dating" perse. Not even online. She even told him they got "married" to complete quests in the game after he asked to dissolve their "marriage" and she agreed to "divorce." He wanted to change their online relationship and make it a real one and she didn't feel the same because for her it was just an online gaming partnership. Then he sees her in real life and flash! In love, which I thought was hilarious 😂.

This show was the first I ever watched and I love it!!!
This is one of my favourite scenes - poor online ex was floored over and over that night - fell for her when he saw her at the busstop - again when she entered and played - just to be slammed when she won't do karaoke with them and that she has a boyfriend and then again finally when he realizes who her boyfriend is - but that doesn't deter him as he dumps his girlfriend and still tries to pursue her only - to finally find out he's his online nemesis and he's the biggest loser 😂

Lo único que lamento es que no descubrieran ahí que Xiao Nai era también el jugador más poderoso del juego.
En la novela los del grupo se enteran por el chat del juego que el "novio guapo" de WeiWei es "Naihe" en vida real pero no saben que su nombre es Xiao Nai porque no saben quien es fuera del juego. La escena aquí en la serie es ligeramente diferente en la novela.

I really like this movie
One of my favourite dramas but I thought the female lead was very lacklustre in the role and often had the personality of a wet fish. I really wish they'd used someone else for the part especially when you know that there are some wonderful Chinese actresses who would have been perfect in the role.
The reason she was like that is because the role she was playing was supposed to be played like that. If someone else had played that role they would have played it in the same way and then you would be saying the same thing about them.

So the other person's comment still holds. But yeah, I like both the main guy and girl characters in the movie more. Movie version felt more real and relatable to me. But I like the details and story more in the show.

This CDrama (Love O2O) is the 1st Chinese drama I ever watched and I STILL watch it (on Viki) now, over and over! The only 2 problems I have is: a) the dubbing of the FL (Zheng Shuang as Bei Wei Wei/Luwei Wei Wei). It's really not done well, in my humble opinion. Her voice is too breathy and the way they emphasize her every breath can be really annoying; and b) Zheng Shuang in her kissing scenes. She must have never kissed anyone before this drama - even when they are married she seems stiff and awkward. It seems as if she's scared of Xiao Nai (played to perfection by Yang Yang). Other than these, this is one of my favorite Chinese dramas - and the entire cast is fantastic. Each actor plays their characters so well and convincingly. I highly recommend this drama.
