I love the H&S configuration. Especially with a Seymour Duncan bluesy hot rail for the neck pickup. And a super distortion in the bridge. You can kinda achieve the best of both words. Or even just a JB

I'm really enjoying recording with the RG550
I have a ‘90 EX365, Korean made. Same hum single layout with the reverse stock. Love it. I want to buy a purple RG550, but they are on back order everywhere.
I did not expect that versatility from what I thought was a shred machine.

I have an original Jewel Blue (though its stripped of its paintwork now as i gave it to my son for learning on)RG565 from day one its in bits at the minute being rebuilt but I have to say Id love the orange one of these reissued models and am super tempted

I bought one of these in candy apple red back in 1991. Yet another guitar I wish I'd never sold. I wish they'd released this model in the original colours instead of the flouro orange.

Great guitar, great playing! I'd like to see the Destroyer DT-555 coming back!!! (Hint: The neck pickup is not stacked like the Dimarzio HS-2, HS-3 or the Duncan YJM Fury, it's single size side by side humbucker).

Excellent demo! I had an Ibanez RG565 in the 80's and it became my go-to guitar. Btw, what amp are you using in the video? Sounds awesome!
they weren't made unitl 1991 mate. I had on too.
Contrary to what Dagan said, the pickups are a V8 Humbucker in Bridge and an Infinity R stacked SIngle Coil in Neck
These are clearly side by side coils like a Duncan hot rails. Stacked would have them over top of each other with a single rail or row of pole pieces.
have they already discontinued these? I can't hardly find anyone selling them anymore.
Hello! I want to buy this guitar ! Please tell me stock pickups of good quality or do you need to replace them? How does the tremolo behave when the formation is not floating? Now I am wondering what to buy rg 565 or ibanez premium made in Indonesia!? Please help with the choice! Thanks.....

The Bridge Pickup is a V8. The neck PU is a single coil size Infinity Humbucker.
The pickups are named backward in the video: a V8 in the bridge and Infinity R in the neck. I recently got a 565 in Vampire Kiss finish, and it's a great guitar, but the pickups are very meh. Switched out the V8 for a DiMarzio Crunch Lab and the Inf R for an Air Norton S; the difference is CRAZY.
