I would add that when you get to the spots that you should stay seated until the boater gets up on the front deck and on the hind side, when he's ready to move, while pulling up the trolling motor & strapping down his rods, you reel in quickly, get your PFD on & seated, ready to go, before he comes off the front deck. Many of my boaters have appreciated this & has Certainly served me well in having an enjoyable day on the water! Looking forward to future episodes!!! 🎣💪

A co-anglers tackle box walk through would be great. This could even be a seasonal video.

Great Video. I would suggest tell what co anglers should do if they encounter problems with the boater during the day. You should also do a vid on how boaters should treat co anglers. What to do when a boater isn't giving enough notice when they are about to leave. Sometime not saying anything. Boaters who block you from isolated targets all day. Boaters who "Put you on the bank all day". Boaters with terrible boat positioning. Running over the sweet spot or too close to the bank. Boaters who move around after 2 cast all day long. LMAO!

Getting back boated time and time again drove me to say f*ck this shit I’m not here to finance your day and the other co-anglers prize money. I had a guy legit say “I’m not giving you any water to fish cause I have a chance to win and I need all the bites I can get.” F*cker had the audacity to ask for gas money at the end of the day. I threw $40 on his passenger seat as I left and walked away without another word said.

@Biggie Smalljaws I'd understand his comment if it was the final day and he was in contention and you have no chance. It sucks but if you're fishing a pro circuit it is what it is. I've found most folks don't act this way though.

I always did something a little different than my boater and was successful. He’s flipping a big jig id flip a finesse Texas rig. Pay attention to any spot he misses. He flips one side of a bush I’m flipping the other side. Always try to catch the fish he’s not fishing for.

I really appreciate you making these videos. I'm finally joining a fishing club and I'm going to try fishing my first tournaments this year. I don't have a boat so I've been trying to figure out what I need to know before hand. This makes me feel much more confident.

Ok, question: Why should my gas contribution depend on his plans? I think I would offer $20 up front and tell him if he plans to run a lot, and he puts me on fish, I will contribute more. I would see that as fair if I were the boater. If he just burns gas all day and only fishes his game plan, never asks what I'd like to try (as he shouldn"t, but it matters to the gas situation) and I don't catch anything, I see no reason why I should contribute more to that.
And a lot depends on their demeanor. I've heard some horror stories about boaters attitudes towards co-anglers.
Not to mention there are times I get frustrated with my regular teammate (boater) for not allowing me enough opportunity. So maybe signing up as a random draw co-angler isn't a good idea for me. lol

It would be great to know exactly how one can be a co-angler coming from off the bank fishing & fishing for fun vs fishing for a living...

Maybe talk about the average weight of a tackle bag a co angler should take.i have a big bag that I bring but have been told it weighs alot from friends that I've been in the boat with.never been told by a boater in a tourny it self I'm just curious on your take on this.

Great topic. Don't throw the same bait, unless he is smashing them on a certain bait. Don't step on the seats. Don't forward cast, unless the pro says it's OK.

Edit: You should make a video on how to properly net. Sounds simple but many don't know how to.
