Dr Neelam B Desai has been the Head of Department, CTVS, in Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Puttaparthi for the last 23 years. She joined this holy institution just a year after its inauguration and since then has been tirelessly serving here with joy and immense contentment for more than three decades now.
As this Temple of Healing celebrates its 32nd anniversary on Nov 22, 2023, we offer this exclusive reflections of someone who was specially chosen by Bhagawan to play a significant role in His healthcare mission. In this talk, she shares how it was Swami alone who filled her with confidence, knowledge and skill, and shaped her into becoming a confident cardiac surgeon who today is blessed with tremendous experience and overflowing love for Bhagawan and His mission.

Loving Sai Ram to all. I recall my Prashanti Seva in the year 1993 October. Dr Neelam Desai was an energetic young cardiac surgeon, coming in shifts. My duty was at Cardiac OT and ICU point. Her father used to bring her home made lunch. It's purely Swami’s grace that she is heading the department now and is a dedicated surgeon of repute. My best wishes and Sai Ram.

I used to work in the Super speciality hospital during the early 90s as a seva dal and am well aware of the 'daily struggle' the medical staff had to undergo to accomplish the tasks and goals of a unique healthcare institution and at the same time ' try and become hollow within' so they could pursue their spiritual practices. The temples of healing had a much broader and larger responsibility compared to Aims or Mayo hospital. We are all happy and proud that you have been blessed and privileged to Love All and Serve All. May Bhagawan Baba continue to bless you and the family to be ever engaged in His Mission ( not necessarily as a cardiac surgeon in the super speciality hospital).

Really it was a good fortune to touch our feet at Parthi.., especially Healing Temple Super-speciality hospital … !!!while we were rendering service as Sevadal Swami blessed to watch these real life heroes …, Whenever we were cleaning the conference hall we could feel even Swamis Love every where…These Physicians and all other staff are are really Living in a higher plane, otherwise how they can Love the patients as own self ….😮
One day from ICU ward A small child came out started walking in the corridors soon after her surgery and how compassionately Dr had chat with girl brought the child back…to ward..😮❤❤
