- I was informed by a friend at DART that a train had broken its pantograph near Bachman Station. Thankfully, I was able to head down to check it out. When I got there, trains had already begun single tracking and reverse running, and a crossing was closed off for whatever reason. I had checked the damaged train out and it turned out that LRV 198 was the one that broke its pantograph. Later on, I went to Burbank Station after learning a hirail truck was down there, and I saw that as well as another truck arriving. Then, I went back and got a first good look at the wire damage, which was considerably bad. And finally, we were able to take a look at repairs to the wires before ending the video.

I remember those days of taking down the wire on the MBTA Blue Line on the Green Line we had 2 Boeing LRV’s that still had trolley poles on them so we could recused LRV ‘s that took down the wire those cars with the trolley poles were # 3400 and # 3402
This is extremely interesting! First time I have seen repairs to a catenary system. Captions are excellent in content but are on-screen too briefly. The camera work needs a little improvement, that is, it would be better with less frequent pans and zooms.
Thank you for the feedback! I do try to make the captions at least 2 seconds duration during editing, especially the longer ones. About the camera work, I usually film both with a tripod and handheld, but most of the time there's not much of a difference. From what I remember this was entirely handheld as I was moving a lot and couldn't set up a tripod. I have been improving for a while but like you said I could work on less pans and zooms. Thanks for watching!
@@dfwrproductions Enjoyed it for sure! Especially the close-up detail of the lineman working on the hangers. Also the scene where the truck got on the rails at the road crossing.
