Really enjoyed watching this. Taking my basic sailing class soon and enjoying looking up info on smaller sail boats that can be trailered behind a car but still have actual space aboard.

I still have the original 8 track video, used to sell these in Vancouver at the boat show with my friend that had the dealership. I have one for sale, new 9.9 Tohatsu, 3 sails, lots of gear, everything in very good to excellent condition.

This reminds me of the school videos I used to have to sit through.

These are really great trailer-able sailboats and most things that this video says about this boat is still true today!

I'm thinking of either getting this boat or the Macgregor 19 with a small outboard as my first sailboat. I'm leaning more towards the 26c because they're cheaper, more roomy, and sail better and faster than the 19. Anybody who has experince with any of these boats can help.

I have this boat and an older type Mac 222 venture. Both are great lake boats that are easily launched, sailed and recovered single handed, (with the proper running rigging/equipment). You are correct about the 26C, it is twice the size of the 19 and is a much better boat.

Is it OK to use a link to your video as an intro to the 26S. I'm selling mine. Purdy please?

wonder if it will still float filled with water with the motor attached. think im gonna buy one but ill probably add some more flotation.

A typical motor for this boat weighs less than 100 lbs. That is 12 gallons of water. So when you look at the swamped boat, imagine if it had to sink ~15 more gallons to float the motor. Looks like no problem unless some water got into the engine and damages it.

They had guys walking on it while it was filled with water and it was still floating so I dont think the weight of the motor would make much difference
