MHMD [17] Mel Massacres More Modern Muslim Myths!

  • In our penultimate episode tracing where the name 'Muhammad' came from, noting that while we can find so many references to this name in the 7th century...none of them are the prophet Muhammad whom Muslims are dependent on for their religion to have any authority or historical credibility.
In this episode Mel looks at the Islamic 'Hijra', which is known in Islam as the movement of their prophet from the city of Mecca to Medina, which they believe happened in 622 AD. If this is so, then perhaps we can find him in that year moving from the one city to the other.
You would think we could find references to it from the sources at that time and in that place...but we can't find anything.
What we can find are references to what exactly was going on near that time, and in that area, but they are almost all Jewish, Spanish and Chinese references...and it is these documents that Mel takes us to in this episode.
According to what he has found, the Jewish Exilarch, Nehemiah ben Hushiel was killed around the year 617 AD, resulting in a large rebellion by the Arabs, especially the Tayaye who lived in what is today northern Iraq.
Note that none of these Arabs lived in the Hijaz, in central Arabia, where their Muhammad supposedly lived, for one very good reason...there simply was no water there to support a large civilization.
These more northern Arabs wanted to kick out the Byzantine and the Persian overlords, who were the 2 great empires in that time and in that area.
There are 3 sources which Mel used to support these events and this time period (617-618 AD).
    1) In 651 AD a Chinese document entitled the "Old Book of Tang and the Ce-Fu-Yuan Gui" referred to a rebellion by the 'Tayaye' 34 years earlier, thus in 617 AD. The important of this document is that it was written far away from the later Abbasid empire, and so could not have been tampered with by them, which is what we know they did with almost all the Umayyad documents written during this time, so this would be a valid window into that period and that place.
    2) In 719 AD another document, this time a letter of the ruler of Kang (Samarkand), which is in present day Uzbekistan, mentioned that the Tayaye (again in present day northern Iraq) began a rebellion 100 years earlier, which would put it in the same time period as the Chinese document, around 617-618 AD.
    3) In 754 AD a Hispanic Chronicle referred to a Saracen (Arab) rebellion in 618 AD, corroborating the earlier Chinese and Samarkand documents.
This period was an apocalyptic period where empires were falling and being replaced by new ones, with new religions and new leaders coming to the fore.
What about the year 622, the year of the Hijra?
Mel then goes on to deal with this date, saying that the Jewish Exilarch, Shallum (ben David), the brother of Nehemiah ben Hushiel (referred to earlier), was deported in 612 AD from Jerusalem to Persia for a 10- year period, which would place it 622 AD, the year later chosen by the Muslims for their 'Hijra'.
Huzziel was killed in 617 AD, and his brother was subsequently exiled in 622 AD.
In conclusion, we can find 4 things of note:
We have definite evidence of a Jewish belief that Nehemiah Ben Hushiel was the Messiah Ben Joseph and that the Jews expected another Exilarch to be the Messiah Ben David.
We also have evidence from a 6th century Jewish inscription of the use of 'MHMD' just 3 years after the Exilarch Zutra II was killed by the Persians.
It is a fair assumption that talk of the MHMD in the 7th century is a messianic expectation in relation to the death of the Exilarch Nehemiah ben Hushiel (the Jews used the word to refer to the coming Messiah).
His brother Shallum is remembered strongly in the SIN as a companion of their prophet Muhammad. This could simply be due to this dual messiah expectation.

Brilliant, just love this work on history, especially if it’s related to the Bible also. I have been following Victories, Civil Wars, and Defeats of Israel from the KJ Version. Many times God gave Israel victory over their enemies when they would cry for help and turn back to Him in repentance. Israel never would have been defeated if they had obeyed God.
This was a definite promise from Him (God) (Lev. 26:3-13; Deut. 28:1-14). On the other hand, God promised military defeat, captivity, dispersion, sickness, and many curses if they disobeyed His Laws and broke His covenant (Lev. 26:16-45; Deut. 28:15-68). Israel suffered 34 recorded defeats and 13 civil wars when they sinned, and enjoyed 78 victories and deliverances from enemies when they obeyed. Blessings Dr. Jay and team

Can you show a comparative timeline, including: the Christian Eastern Roman Empire key points from 325AD to 800AD; the Jewish Exilarch Empire or Vassal State key points after the 3RD Israeli Revolt until 800AD; the development of an Arab consciousness from 325AD through their Alliance with Jews and Heretical Christians; and finally Heretical Christianity after official Council’s exclusion in 325AD and 431AD, until 800AD.
If all of these timelines were put in context, the process be which Islam grew out of oral traditions supplemented by cut and paste historical references will become very clear to Christians, Jews, and Muslims. I am not sure how the Coptic Christian Church fits into all of this process. However, after reviewing their Bible, Coptic Christians in Arab conquered Alexandria, Egypt, may have contributed greatly to this process. The dynamic between Jewish Exilarchs/Academics and Heretical Christian Theologians/Leaders is another under researched area of the development of Islam. Some scholar references to Christian influences in Islam may actually mean Heretical Christian influences on Islam. Between Pfander Films and CIRA videos, the discussion of Islam is much easier for me to engage as a Christian.

How much we loved or neighbors, and showed them mercy. And finally, did we use our talents for GOD’s glory and magnifying His gift of those talents, or did we bury our talents.

These are all factored in to your tests in this life versus your reward.
Likewise, many Spirits are corrupted by souls having made bad decisions and doubling down on bad. For example, did you choose substance abuse? shaman is a practitioner of shamanism, a spiritual practice that involves interacting with a spirit world through altered states of consciousness, such as trance.
In the Cave of the Trois-Frères, France, there lies a rather unusual painting of a dancing bearded man with two thick antlers and a bushy tail. Estimated to be 14,000 years old, “The Sorcerer” is thought to depict a Shaman performing a ritual to ensure a good hunt.
Various ancient hunting and gathering cultures followed Shamanism, one of the world’s earliest religions (although whether Shamanism should be referred to as a religion is contested). And its popularity is once again on the rise. According to the most recent census for England and Wales, Shamanism is expanding faster than any other belief system, with its numbers growing from 650 in 2011 to 8,000 in 2021.
But this modern Shamanism is different to its prehistoric counterpart. It has mostly moved away from regalia and hunting rituals to focus on the intellectual and spiritual side of the belief system.

Fascinating, as always. The expectation of two messiahs - the first suffering/sacrificial the second a conqueror, seems perfectly suited to a scenario where a leader is killed and their successor claims that this is all in accordance with the plan.
If I may make one point of correction regarding my Jerusalem Thesis. I have never proposed that Jerusalem = Mecca. The Jerusalem temple is the place that the Qur'an refers to as the masjid al-harām, the house of Allah, the Kaaba and (at least one of the Qur'an's references to) the maqam Ibrahim. It was the place that the Qur'an instructed its audience to pray towards and to fight to capture. But I don't see any reason to identify this sacrosanct focus of the Qur'an author's thoughts with the place that the Qur'an refers to as 'Maka' at Q 48.24. On the contrary, I think that the name 'Maka' was an invented 'rhyming twin' (of the sort that the Qur'an author was clearly very fond of) for Baka, which was a location in Palestine, which the Qur'an author associated with Bakka of Psalm 84.
Surah 48 contains few clues about where this Maka is, but it does say that it is a valley and that the people there blocked the believers' way to the masjid al-harām, and so it is certain that it cannot be Jerusalem itself.
BTW, you may recall that a part of my thesis is that if the masjid al-harām = Jerusalem, then Q. 71.1 (' the night journey') describes the Q prophet being taken *away from* Jerusalem to the furthest place of prostration, which Allah has blessed, to show him some signs/verses. If you are correct, this may be evidence of your hijra.

Even if you accept your understanding of your bible. It doesn’t mean other a except the same understanding.
Your whole fallacy is build on the premise that everyone should have your understanding of the bible.
Why would any academic accept that premise?
You pretend to have academic principles. You are just an apologist.
You can’t refute Islam theologically. You can’t defend your Christianity theologically.
You have to resort to conspiracy theories with principles that destroys your own religion.
Why should we accept that UruShalim is one city?
Why should we accept that the later Jerusalem is the location of the UruShalim first mentioned in the bible?
We can play these games as well.

Many thanks for this, Mel and Jay. I have been unable to follow all episodes but guess that Mel has seen Al Sadiquin Institute's article, _Shallum ben Hushiel (Salmaan Farsi) finds the Prophet_ . Though coming from sources of the SIN, it might include names that could be paired with persons/places/events found in Mel's research: I quote two paragraphs…
“….In 625CE, the Persians were defeated by Romans in attack on Constantinople. The Byzantine forces continued to press the Iranians hard and in the decisive battle at Nineveh (627 CE) they dealt them the hardest blow. They captured the royal residence of Dastagerd, and then pressing forward reached right opposite to Ctesiphon, capital of Iran in those days. In 628 CE. in an internal revolt, Khosrau Parvez was imprisoned and eighteen of his sons were executed in front of him and a few days later he himself died in the prison. This was the year when the peace treaty of Hudaibiya was concluded, which the Quran has termed as 'the supreme victory', and in this very year Khosrau's son, Kovad II, gave up all the occupied Roman territories, restored the True Cross and made peace with Byzantium. In 628 CE, the Emperor himself went to Jerusalem to install the 'Holy Cross' in its place, and in the same year the Holy Prophet entered Makkah for the first time after the Hijrah to perform the `Umra-tul-Qada'. Meanwhile wholesale persecution of the Jews continued, in 629CE, Dagobert orders the Jews of the Frankish empire to accept baptism or to emigrate.
“In 629 CE, there was the battle of Khaibar. The Cohanim of Khaibar had not shown any hostility toward the Muslims until the leaders of Banu al Nadir settled among them. The most prominent leaders of Banu al Nadir who settled in Khaibar were Salam ibn Abu al Haqiq, Kinanah ibn Abu al Haqiq, and Huyayy ibn Akhtab. When they came to Khaibar, the people accepted their leadership. The leadership of these three men was enough to drag the Cohanim of Khaibar into conflict aimed at retaliation against the Muslims. During the Battle of Khandaq, the Cohanim of Khaibar, led by the leaders of Banu al Nadir, hoped to regain control of the Ka'aba. They played a significant role in the incitement of Quraysh and the desert Arabs against the Muslims. The Prophet sent a letter to them, via Ali and Shallum (Salmaan Farsi), calling them to submit to the Prophet and reminding them of what their own Scriptures said about his coming.. Ali managed to convince the guards to open the fortress gate. Ali took a lead role in the siege. Shallum also was awarded lands in Khaibar for his role in the battle….”
Some names of interest include: Khaibar (of famed massacre of Jews); Battle of Khandaq; Ka’aba (the writer says “the Cohanim of Khaibar, led by the leaders of Banu al Nadir, hoped to regain control” of it; Cohanim were the priests of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem); al Qamus, al Watih and al Salalim (fortresses). Other names from the SIN linking to the conquest of Khaibar appear in Islam Basics’ _The Conquest of Khaibar_ (quoted from _The Sealed Nectar_ by Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarkpuri). In this extract, Khaibar is said to be “60-80 miles north of Madinah” (another important location), and “it seems, was split into two parts with five forts in the first: Na‘im, As-Sa‘b bin Mu‘adh, the castle of Az-Zubair, ’Abi Castle, and An-Nizar in Ash-Shiqq; three others were in part two: Al-Qamus, Al-Wateeh and As-Salalim.”

The quote about the TAYAYE of MHMT is what throws a monkey wrench into the Standard Islamic Narrative. Where did these TAYAYE come from? And why did the SIN hide them if they were so important? Islam obviously began in southern Iraq and the YEAR ACCORDING TO THE HAGARENES (sanaa qada MHGRYE) explains perfectly the origin of the Islamic year when their rebellion against Rome occurred. The Arabs' year was also referred to as the YEAR ACCORDING TO THE BELIEVERS - sanaa qada MUMININ ... but no reference to Hegira, or Islam or Mohammed.

The issues with religious origins are mainly anecodatal. There is little credible direct, real, forensic or statistical evidence of sources, data or artefacts. You open the book and everything is up for grabs. Research is dangerously provocative, hence in Islam the defence of the book and the man is a supreme duty.

Could you please conduct some research on a figure named "Qais Abdul Raas"? He is mentioned in Mughal sources from the 16th century as the 37th descendant of King Saul. Some Pashtuns consider him their forefather, and certain genealogies connect the Afridi and Bangash tribes of Pakistan to him. These people, residing near the famous city of Kohat, are referred to as "Kohaties" (which might have some connection to the biblical "Kohath" cause these people look Iraqi DNA with some having Greek Iraqi DNA).
Legend has it that Prophet Muhammad sent Khalid Bin Waleed to meet "Qais Abdul Raas", who then returned with forces to support Prophet Muhammad in his conquests.

Just judging on the name, "Abdul Rass" might be an abbreviation of "Abdul Ra'as Galut", which would be the servant/slave of the Exilarch. That could hint at the person being Jewish - presuming their name is truthful of their identity - hence being a descendant of king Saul would be expected.

Biblical words and names are Farsi/Persian, some are listed below:
Jew "جا - jaa" = Room / Home / Shed
Jesus "جا ساز - jaa-saaz" = Home builder
Christ "کار است, کار دست - kaar-ast/kare-dast" = The work we do using our hands to build a home, determines the ownership of that house
Genocide "جا نساز - jaa-na-saaz" = Do not build home
Genesis "جا نسازید - jaa-na-saazeed" = Do not build house (purell for genocide)
Gabrael "این جا بروید - jaa-beraveed" = Leave this home, executor of eviction
Palestine "پا و دستان - paa-va-dastan" = Legs and hands, [construction] workers
Disciple "دست پرکار or دست و پا دار - dast-o-paadar" = Having [skilled] hands for work
Joseph "جا زاد - jaa-zaad" = The male who was born in that home
Jouda "جا دار - jaa-daar" = One with home, not homeless
John "جای من - jaa-ye-man" = My home [in the future]
Judea "جادارها - jaa-daarha" = Those who have house (opposite of homeless)
Moshe "مال من می‌شه - maale-man-mysheh" = It will be mine
    Judaism "جا دزدیست - jaa-dozdist" = Home/land thief
Noah "رود ما - roode-ma" = Our river
Magi "مانده جا - mandeh-jaa" = The man who knows the owner of the home and land
Hashem "خاکشه - khakesh-eeh" = This soil belongs to him, the owner of the all the soils / dirt of the world
Maryam "مادرم - maadaram" = My mother, being a mother
Mary "مادری - maadary" = Motherhood, a girl who is expected to be a mother (roots for marriage, madam, Ms and Mrs)
Jahad "جا بخواه - jaa-bekhah" = Demand for having a home (not an enslaved on someone else's land)
Salvation "بساز و بشین - besaz-o-beneshin" = To live in your own built house and living in there
Babylon "برابرن - bara-baran" = Equals, people who shared the land equally amongst themselves
Malachi "مالکان - malekan" = Landlords, owners of the houses.
Pagan " پاره گان - paregan" = Those girls who lost their virginity
Sodom [and] Gomorrah " سردمه گرمم کن - sardameh-garmam-kon" = I am cold, warm me up, It was used by prostitutes
At that time there were no postal addresses, people used to put their name or their statue to claim the occupation of the home, like "Hassan's Home" so every name was followed by the word " jaa", later the tribe of yahoodies claimed the word "jaa" as their names to claim all the properties. Noah also picked the name "river" so they can also claim ownership of all the water bodies on land. Hashem is the same, to claim the ownership of all the soils in the world because of a name.
Juese also invented the Nail and Cross Joint to be used to build homes.
The word "نبي" is "مقنی" which is Farsi for well digger, that is why Islam says there are 124000 Nabi or prophets. Nabis were establishing communities away from each other by finding new water sources and digging a well. Prophet Muhammad was their leader and teacher, he also designed the rules and regulations for ownership of the water well and the surrounding land "محل" by the workers who dug the well. The name "محمد" is a title "محل مرد" which means the male member of the 12 member compound/colony.

Here are a few things that were concrete. Try and join the dots if your brain will allow. There was a Jewish messianic movement in the early 7th century (Jewish writing asserts this). There is a Jewish inscription in the 6th century with the term "mhmd", indicating it is being used by Jews, long before Islam knew it. The brother of Salman Al Farsi ie Nehemiah Ben Hushiel was considered a Messiah. Islamic tradition says Salman Al Farsi is Exilarch Shallum Ben Hushiel, ie the brother of Nehemiah Ben Hushiel, ie the very one Jews acclaimed as the Messiah. Islam says Salman was a close companion of Muhammad, which is Mhmd, which is the Messiah. Do you get it yet? It is pretty concrete.

The one God is only one.
The one God is not one group of three.
      The one God sent messengers.
The one God is not a messenger.
Jesus was a messenger from a long line of messengers that includes Noah, Abraham and Moses.
Messengers are chosen from men to convey message to men.
And We have already SENT Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
Then We SENT following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Injil (Gospel).
      (Al-Quran 57: 26-27)
Then We SENT after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters.
And Moses said, O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds
Obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel.
      (Al-Quran 7: 103-105)
And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and followed up after him with messengers.
      (Al-Quran 2: 87)
The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth.
      (Al-Quran 5: 75)
Their messengers said to them, "We are only men like you, but Allah confers favor upon whom He wills of His servants. It has never been for us to bring you evidence except by permission of Allah . And upon Allah let the believers rely.
      (Al-Quran 14: 11)
      God sent Jesus.
      God is not Jesus.
Allah chooses from the angels, messengers and from men.
      Surely, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
      (Al-Quran 22: 75)
      There are angel messengers
He sends down the angels, with the inspiration of His command, upon whom He wills of His servants, "Warn that there is no ilah (deity/god) except Me; so fear Me."
      (Al-Quran 16: 2)
Angel Gabriel is referred to as The Spirit.
And mention, in AlKitab (the Book), Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.
And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Spirit (Angel Gabriel), and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah ."
He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy."
She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"
He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.'
      (Al-Quran Translation/interpretation Chapter Mary/Maryam(19) : 16-21)
Gabriel identified himself to Mary as "the messenger of your Lord".
The story of Gabriel appearing before Mary(Maryam) to inform her about her future son (Jesus/Isa) is also mentioned in the gospels.
*Angels informing the coming of a newborn child is consistent with angels visiting Abraham and his wife informing them about their future son, Isaac and Jacob and an angel informing Zachariah about his future son, John (Yahya), both incidents mentioned in the current gospels and in the Quran.
Angel Gabriel (Jibril) is mentioned by name as the one who brought down the Quran to Prophet Muhammad:
Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Jibril (Gabriel) - it is he who has brought it (the Qur'an) down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers."
Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Jibril and Mikal (Michael) - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.
      (Al-Quran translation 2: 97-98)
The one who brought it down is also referred to as below:
And indeed, it (the Qur'an) is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
Has brought it down by Arruhul-amin (The Trustworthy Spirit)
      (Al-Quran translation 26: 192- 193)
Say, [O Muhammad], "ruhulQudus (spirit of the Holy) has brought it down from your rabb (Lord) in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims."
      (Al-Quran translations 16: 102)
Ruh Al-Quddus is mentioned in the arabic Quran.
      Ruh meaning spirit,
Al-Quddus is one of the names of God, meaning The Holy/ All-Holy/ All-Pure.
      Angels have wings.
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
      (Al-Quran 35: 1)
Who did Jesus actually see descending that is mentioned in the gospels.
[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful -
      (Al-Quran 19: 64)
      God sent angels.
      God is not an angel.
It is not for a human [prophet] that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allah," rather, "be rabbaniyyun, because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it."
Nor could he order you to take the angels and prophets as arbaban (lords). Would he order you to disbelief after you had been Muslims?
      (Al-Quran 3: 79-80)
      There are angel messengers
      There are human messengers.
      God is not an angel.
      God is not a human.
      God is only one.
      God have no son.
God is not one third of three.
      God is not a messenger.
      God sent messengers.
Indeed, Allah is but one ilah (deity/god). Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.
      (Al-Quran 4: 171)
      فِي الْبَدْءِ خَلَقَ اللهُ (Allah) السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ
According to arabic translations of the bible that you can find online, Allah (الله ) is the Creator of the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1: 1
Indeed, your rabb (Lord) is Allah, who created the heavens and earth ...
      (Al-Quran translation 7: 54)
Alaha refers to God in aramaic.

There is one Quran. Your definition of the Quran doesn’t exist and has never existed.
You affirm the trinity. The trinity is three gods.
Your position is a logical contradiction.
