😂 y’all make it look so easy even though I know those pickups were super cake for hand throwing, try that in 120* weather with desert trees that have thorns the size of your fingers the poisonous plants and thorns and other elements such as peoples dirty needles and infected trash that can poke you, not to mention all the wildlife such as copper head rattle snakes, scorpion’s, spiders, rats, and everything else living under the piles. People don’t actually know what the true deal is working in this field, the pay definitely doesn’t = the possible life altering damages.
They should consider curbside vacuum collection for leaves where they have a vacuum hooked up to a dump truck that way the only need 3 guys 1 to rake leaf piles closer to the road if they were close to the sidewalk, a second to swing the vacuum hose back and forth, and a third to drive the truck

More cities should just get a street sweeper capable of leaf vacuuming. Certain days of the year everyone just rakes them onto the street side and and it sucks them up.
Bet that about packed out the truck. I used to work for Waste Management of Eastern NY back when they had maroon trucks. I did pretty much everything there was a night mechanic and container repair and fabricator, then went on the road did container deliveries and pulls, rear load, front load, recycling, roll off, boom truck then rerouting routes once they put me move me to a new route. Played dispatcher for a while after I blew out my back and 2 surgeries never recovered fully from that and was let go.
Surprisingly I followed for 2.5 hours when I found them they were 100% empty and when I left they were just about packed out. How did you like waste Management
@@TruckMaster642 well. They were very fair after I got hurt on the job. While waiting to get surgery on my back, they made me a dispatcher. Did that for 5 months.. after surgery and 2 months out went back to dispatcher but wanted to be on the road. I couldn't get a 100% clearance from my Dr. so they had to let me go. There was 90day policy in place to get back to 100% but I far exceeded that and they really didn't want me to leave but had no choice. The only thing I didn't like was they would put me on a route to reroute it so there was between 8 and 12 hours less per week if I could make it happen. Once I got one route done, they put me on another route and start all over again. I didn't get compensated for it and the route manager got the credit for it. That's the only thing I didn't like about it. My first route doing rear load cardboard started out about 64 hours a week and going into 3 different counties.. I got it down to 42-45 hours a week with a empty truck at the end of the day everyday
