My bros & I tried to go to an Escape Room last night, but weren't able to make it do to the weather. I had mentioned to them that there are escape room board games last night, & then this morning I see this review on UA-cam!
Just a tip. If you have a color printer that has a copy function. It’s possible to not destroy the Exit games. I have only destroyed the advent calendar so far and I have played +15 of the games. I also substitute cardboard where I can and when needed I use a plastic bag on top of whatever I need to draw on.
I recommend both! You should know that EXIT cannot be played like Unlock even if you find certain similarities (systematically some remarkable puzzles of Exit found in Unlock after) Unlock is a dynamic game which will easily mobilize all the players where Exit will be more challenging and cerebral and will propose puzzles of a unique kind, exploiting the material to be handled. In fact Exit is essential, but to fully appreciate it you have to play it quietly and above all keep the clues away, because real satisfaction comes from there (and added surprises like in the amazing *Sinister Mansion* ) Even if we can think, a little too hastily, that certain puzzles are far-fetched, they are in fact of a logic and a formidable ingenuity, which will not miss its target. An unforgettable and complementary experience to Unlock, whose advantage is the application that allows greater immersion and a host of fun and original things (note that Exit also has an application (in English and German) with ambiant sound and counter for more immersion) 👍
I love the exit games. SPOILER: They do a lot of ‘plot twists’ and use the boxes to help with the game. We had one where they taped items under insert in the box. It’s brilliant
One of the exit games involved using a candle to cast shadows on cardboard pieces to unlock a code… we nearly torched the house trying to get that fucker to work. Eventually just used a torch. Much prefer unlock. The exit games are too reliant on my dexterity with scissors and flickering flames. I shouldn’t need to recreate the great fire of London whenever I play a game.
I completely Hate the fact that Exit isn't playable more than once. It is such waste of resources. I felt so stupid throwing it all away that I decided not to buy another.

Perfect! Obviously nothing is quite as fun as the real thing...but still you can play these when it's raining outside!

This was a great review! Thank you 😺

So, Best Play team, which one would guys pick if you could only play one?
If I could only pick one it would be Unlock as I think the rooms are more exciting moment to moment (and being able to gift it is nice)
