Great review. I am hoping to buy one of these soon. Ambrogio appear to have the best quality robots on the market. Great to be able to hear it mowing, most other videos play ridiculous music instead of allowing the mower to be heard. 🙄

You know how long we have been champing at the bit for this video to come out?

I must admit I didn't think anyone would be champing at the bit - but I'm pleased its been useful and the next updates won't be as long.

I am away from my house between one and two months at a time do you believe this Ambrogio 4.0 elite unit will operate automatically without any problems for that span of time? I have a 1/4 acre yard with no trees or steep slopes.

The mower has been looking after four areas here since August with very little need to intervene. There is an initial period of sorting minor fixes to the wire/lawn but we'd done that within the first 2-3 weeks. I'd be confident that the mower could be left to its own devices for that long once you've got it up and running. You may well find a number of the Ambrogio models could handle an area of the size you describe. I needed the 4.0 elite due to some slopes and rough terrain. If you've a smaller area without slopes you've probably got more of the range to choose from. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Ambrogio based on my experience to date.

@@fuzzy1237 Thanks very much for the kind thoughts. My sixth border collie so he's much missed. Let me know how the quad takes to being rounded up.

When strimming how careful do you have to be ?
If u snap wire then what?

Thanks very much for the kind thoughts about Taz - the Acreage is too quiet at the moment. In terms of strimming, just strim as normal. The wire gets drawn below the roots of the grass (hard to believe but true - see video above starting at 10.36) so there's no risk of cutting the wire unless you're digging up the grass with your strimmer. I'll add a short video to show how to join/extend/repair wire here with the next update. I've had one break in six months and that was my fault for not pegging into a dip properly - but once installed properly it's not possible for the mower to cut the wire.

If you take a look at the video above from 12.15 in you'll see the two most relevant websites. Both have maps or lists of stockists across the UK
