That is incredible! I love the television screen up on the second floor. Very nicely done. I am sure the trick-or-treaters will absolutely love it! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!🎃🎃
Which country? Sometimes there are different ceremonies that are similar to Halloween in various countries such as Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) - Mexico and Latin America; Pchum Ben - Cambodia; Obon - Japan; Hungry Ghost Festival - China and other East Asian countries; Pitru Paksha - India; Gai Jatra (Festival of Cows) - Nepal; Samhain - Ireland and Scotland; Chuseok - South Korea; All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day - Various Christian Countries; Famadihana (Turning of the Bones) - Madagascar
Hey @millerbros, I saw your comment and thought it was really interesting how you mentioned the different celebrations around the world similar to Halloween. Here in Brazil, we don't have a strong tradition of celebrating Halloween like in the U.S. Our culture has its own customs and festivities that reflect our Indigenous, African, and European roots. Even though Halloween has been getting more popular lately, especially with kids and in schools, it's not something that’s really part of our traditions. Actually, Halloween falls on the same day as "Dia do Saci" (October 31st), which was created to celebrate figures from our own folklore, like Saci-Pererê and Curupira, who are popular characters in Brazilian culture. Brazil is also a very Catholic country, so we have “Dia de Finados” (November 2nd), which is a day where people visit cemeteries to honor their loved ones who passed away. It’s probably the closest thing we have to something like Día de los Muertos, but it’s more somber, without the same festive or spooky vibe that Halloween has. It’s cool to see how different cultures around the world have their own ways of dealing with themes like death and the supernatural. I think it just makes us appreciate how diverse global traditions are. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it’s always great to learn about different customs!
@@danielfernandes6849 Yes, exactly and each culture has their way of honoring the dead which is something all humans and cultures have in common. I know in China, a very important tradition in their culture is ancestor worship. Halloween in the USA, is more commercial and flexible so it allows for creativity. We prefer the iconic characters that made horror movies popular and it is a lot of fun watching the kids enjoy their interaction with the props.
@@millerbros. "Yeah, you’re right, every culture’s got its own way of honoring the dead. It’s interesting how Halloween in the U.S. has become this mix of fun, creativity, and a bit of commercial stuff. Here in Brazil, we’ve got All Souls' Day, which is more serious, focused on remembering loved ones. But it’d be cool to have that playful, fun side too. Who knows, maybe one day Halloween will catch on here as well!"
