So funny!!! What a unexpected surprise😅😅😅 How fun though, prayers your way Winter and family.
You are so right about how a family goes into shock. We are in the process of adopting sisters, ( 12, and 13 years old) and integrating them into our home through respite at this point. We already have 4 kids 11 and under, and babysit a few littles during the week off and on. It's amazing how our food and water usage goes up! Oh yeah.... and can you say ENERGY!!! And noise! There are on average, 3-4 kids talking to me at once most of the time 😂🤩🤪. Thank you for posting this video!

That's a lot of kids! Where are they all sleeping? How many kids can you have per bedroom with foster care?

It depends by area. Our needs either 40 or 50 sq ft per kid. So if you have two bedrooms but they are each 150 sq ft you could have three kids in each.

We live in the midwest, where you can buy large old houses for cheap! ;) We are blessed. We have a 4 bedroom home and 2 large living spaces. There are rules about boys and girls sleeping in the same room, age gaps, etc.

If you do respite during the week, do you take the kids to their school every day? In our area, the chances of getting kids in your school district, respite or regular foster, is very low.

We live in a very small town, so only one school district. With our younger two that we adopted, they were moved from another town to ours. It was so difficult for them to start over. I don't recommend it unless its the only option.
