The Nightmare Wesen Comes For Nick | Grimm

- Do you like this nightmare wesen? The Alpe has a slender body, covered in short, green-brown fur, and is very stealthy, capable of sneaking up on a sleeping victim. The major characteristic of the Alpe, however, is its head. The Alpe has glowing green eyes, with black sclera, along with a huge mouth that can separate into three distinct, almost petal-like shapes.
From Grimm Season 6 Episode 6 ‘Breakfast in Bed' - A grisly murder in a hotel leads to a guest who claims to be haunted by a terrifying creature in the night; at the Spice Shop, Monroe, Rosalee and Eve investigate the origins of the symbols on the cloth.

I love when Nick tosses the badge. Not just this moment, but any episode when he goes full Grimm is great
Espacially after he got his superhuman capabilitys like strengh, speed and lung capacity
“Life is a nightmare that prevents one from sleeping. Sleep well!”
An interesting way saying Rest In Peace!!!
My dad is usually very stone faced, but when we got to the end with the red herring he’s laughed the hardest I’ve probably seen him laugh ever.
I love when Nick leans into the reputation of the Decapitarae. He rarely does it and I think that's what makes it special.
No matter how often I watch this series, I somehow seem to want to get back to it once again...
Be nice to do this in an old time setting, maybe a world wide view.
Do you know what the fish looking thing at the end was?
@@Boo-pv4hn nothingness?
me too
Man. Nick turned into a savage this season. I think Trubel rubbed off on him.
That and the royals some things you can’t solve as a cop the royals showed him that . That’s why he didn’t play with black claw all them bodies in the loft dame
This season is post Black Claw.. he is no longer the naif Grimm of the beginning
SUCH A BADASS NICK MOMENT. HE WAS GONNA GO ALL GRIMM ON THE ALPE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!
"One less alpe in the world, who's going to lose any sleep over that?" Savage. She provoked Nick so Nick would have to kill her. A Grimm, a cop and a blubod, I know I didn't spell that right, that was a fight she wasn't going to win.
It's spelled Blutbad but good effort it's a weird word to say
Especially, when u think she's only got her mouth as a weapon n they have guns n blutbad. 😅
@@callanflanagan8706 well, not if you're a german speaker it aint
I'm pretty sure monroe could've handled it on his if she was just up against nick its over for her bruh
@@suppersdinner119 or producers cared abt quality
That old man is literally a red herring. *Literally.* Fool us good.
My favorite scene is when the royals sent monsters to kill nick and he just cut off their heads and sent em back in a box
The funniest thing was that he didn't even cut off their heads - one of the reapers beheaded the other while trying to strike Nick, and Monroe decapitated the other post mortem. Like even Nick was surprised about that.
_'When it comes to these guys... two heads are better than one!'_
Especially the note sent with the heads saying their men need more training. lol.
This is the most threatening Nick has ever been
Wtf wesen at the end of video his laughing is incredible 🤣
i'm not really a fan of fandom wikies but accoring to the grimm wiki it's "Unnamed Red Herring-like Wesen"
It’s a literal red herring. Throughout the entire episode they’re hinting that he’s the Alpe, but it’s actually the lady. So he’s a red herring, in the writing trope sense and the Wesen sense.
Wesen and Grimm, working together... looks like we're in another fairy tale :p .
I know it wouldn’t be the same but really wish they revived this with a new Grimm, I miss this show so much
the messed up thing is she could have just gone to the drug store to get what she needs Melatonin is sold as a dietary suplament in the US over the counter she also could have fed off narcaleptics who would have paid her for the privlage
point is she's really doign this the hard way
Well if she brought it they would go to the drugstore and check who brought some melatonin.
@@zcgamerandreacts2762 Melatonin is an OTC medication that plenty of people buy. I honestly don’t know anyone off the top of my head who *hasn’t* bought sleep aids in one form or another, so they’d have a LONG list to go through.
@@zcgamerandreacts2762 the point is if she just started out buying melatonin, the guy at the beginning wouldn’t have gone crazy, therefore no case at all related to her.
@@zcgamerandreacts2762 They wouldn't need to do that, because then there would be nothing wrong.
Not sure about the Narcoleptics, but unless I'm mistaken, they explain that Even if she would have popped an entire bottle of melatonin, her body would have burned through it too quickly to have been any use
Monroe: "I left mine at home."
You have to wonder why she's stealing melatonin when you can go buy the stuff off the shelf at Super 1.
Probably needed it ultra-fresh..
@@StaRwaka artificial has side effects including death.
@@toomanyaccounts Ah yes unlike her current condition of.....death xD
@@Azazreal Because she wanted to die, she just couldn't kill herself. Which is why her attack on Nick was so half-hearted. In real life people do this as well AKA suicide by cop.
She's not stealing melatonin.
In an earlier scene Monroe says that they feed off of proteins produced during REM sleep. Melatonin is how they identify their victims.
Love the dude who turned out to literally be a red herring. God dammit!
He could have had a great cover too, when I saw the episode the 1st time, I was looking at the old man thinking he might be the alpe
Does anny one know what type of wesen the older gentlemen is
I don't like how we're left with unanswered questioned about wesens who aren't explored or named.
I wish there was somthing like a book ore list online like the grimm books so fans could read a bout them
I love that guy haha! I feel like I’d be a Red Herring Wesen sometimes haha
what i love about nick he give them a chance to do it peacefuly most the time till backed in to a corner then hes like ok 🥋🥊🥊
How stupid one must be to attack a cop, a Blutbad and a Grimm?!
I guess THAT stupid!
Nick is a Superman, bat man and ect all rolled into one.
finished the last season and this series was soo good
2:53 Thanks for the Red Herring (:
Talk about a Red Herring. 😄
I knew I recognized that roar thats the same one as sinistar that classic arcade game
Her roar sounds like sinistar from the game.
And what was this bit about Nick allowing the Alpe to just leave Portland? She would have just gone somewhere else and started up the same mayhem.
what could he charge her for? she had to steal sleep to live.
@@toomanyaccounts True. She herself only stole sleep. But without that sleep, people got weird and killed themselves and others. Wherever she went, the mayhem would begin again. We are responsible for not only what we do, but also for the ripple effects of what we do. Killing her was the only way to stop the carnage. I am guessing that the showrunners did not want Nick to go back to the old Grimm ways of "kill all wesen on sight". That would not be the "kinder and gentler Grimm" who properly arrested misbehaving wesen for normal civil crimes that the show concept was based upon. But in this situation, you are correct, there was nothing to charge her with. Yet she was still a danger. So a really phony way for her to die had to be devised so Nick would not be responsible for letting her go to do more damage elsewhere.
The only solution was for her to feed only once on any single person. That way, the damage of long term sleep deprivation would not occur. But that would take discipline and extra effort. The wesen do seem to think that they are superior to humans. Why should they worry about their prey? The ultimate expression of this are the goals of Black Claw. So yes, some wesen have to be killed.
@@barttorbert5031 well the problem was also the Hundjager there. he was involved. probably told her to repeat feed so he can steal the belonging and resell them.
A blutbad can go vegetarian, other wesen like the Alpe need it to survive. It is pretty hard to just say `well though luck buddy`, after all we eat other living creatures to survive as well.
@@caesarjergens The Alpe could feed from volunteers. Pay them like paying for groceries. The Alpe would have to have control over their feeding. Not too much at any one time, space out feeding on a specific individual. But self-control is not something that most Wesen tend to master, particularly the more predatory varieties.
Well that was easy 😂
I hope this show comes to Peacock
What was with that fish guy on the end again? I’ve forgotten the episode
Red herring?
I love the Red Herring Wesen!
Grimm, Portland.. All wessen👻
God i miss this show!!!!!!
Rule one of fighting look at your surroundings cuz you could use it well
The one thing I never understood is why on death they take on human form when human is not their natural state?
What’s that fish laughing about
A granddad joke.
Ok but what type of wesen is a fish
You guys should post long episode
why is it the Wesene criminals never choose the easy way out
What's the fun in that?
The one thing I wish they could’ve done with this show is for when the Wessex see that Nick as a grim that we could see it too and also if he had the ability to woge what they see even when they aren’t currently woging
The end bit literally always confuses me
Who needs grim when alpe off themselves
00:55 Huh? 😂
please start again Grimm
What was the deals with the vessen at the end?
He's a red herring Wesen. I haven't been able to watch the full episode, but I think he was a suspect at some point.
@@The-Rose-and-the-Cross Considering that the term "red herring" is used for a distraction or false lead, I'm pretty sure the writers just had a bit of fun with that...

What?!
What is the episode?
We NeeD A New SEASONNNNN
When the Alpe attacked Nick, she should have first belched out a big cloud of her sleep dust. But then she would have escaped and that is not how the story was supposed to end.
Of course the hole in the plot is that melatonin is available commercially. Otherwise Rosalee could not have super-dosed Monroe. No need for Alpe to go hungry or attack people, thus risking being exposed as a Wesson.
you mean the synthetic stuff that causes side effects including death due to huge quality issues? the alpe feasts on the dreams
The problem with modern pharmaceutical cures derived from (tried and true) folk or herbal medication is that science has a nasty habit of trying to "compartmentalize" things. This thing does this, that thing does that. In the real world, things don't exist in a vacuum. So even though synthetic melatonin exists, there are numerous studies proving that melatonin by itself is not nearly as effective as real dreams and real sleep. Compounding effects, unknown relationships between primary and secondary neurotransmitters, hell, the very NATURE of dreams themselves (and by extension the brain and consciounsness) - there are an infinite number of things we do not know about the human body. All the more reason why an Alpe would, sadly, still need to feed on fresh dreams rather than rely on synthetic solutions.
Synthetic vs Organic. The stuff they sell as supplements is NOT the same thing our bodies produces and as a supernatural creature it is highly likely that an Alpe can't survive off of the knock off stuff. Wesen on the show have shown that they are more than willing to use modern medicine when they can but they have also shown that some of their needs simply CAN'T be met by modern medicine.
Give us more of the red dude
Who is that guy?! 🤔
By season 6 here you have to start wondering why most of these Wesen haven't just died off. They have predisposition and biology that should have made them go extinct

Well, since she's on the physical plane, here, maybe mostly in physica and not the Astral, not as much anyway, with the psychic powers that any mortal has, with the realization AND actual concrete existence of the horizon between the physical plane and the Meta-Physical or Astral Plane, along this horizontal line itself one can simply stretch it taught and tight, like the rope that it is actually capable of becoming. Is. I'm saying that the horizontal line between Us & Them, can actually be used as a weapon like a string of concertina wire or something. [I think, Iiii belieeeve.] After looping it around the poor unfortunate's neck, of course. I mean, hey, it wuz stupid enough to come into the physica to wreak havoc out of jealousy where it's not s'posed to be anymore. -Am I right? Anywho, with your fists quickly jutting out to each side enabled with your greater psychic power that is simply you & the very real realization of the horizonal rope, you stretch each end so tight -but you must do it suddenly, that it then decapitates that despicable thing's head right off. Humans just don't realize the power they have. I mean because of where we are, currently. We can just about always transcend into the Astral because of the composition of what makes a human a human, while primarily existing here on the material plane. Some of us inadvertently do it every nite, transcend that is, never to remember it again. Anyway, 'they' can't. Not without proper conduit, at least. They're over and done with already in the creation of things and evolution.
I'd like to think that I'm a good hunter. [I wonder how I could magnify that???] -BUT ALWAYS WITHOUT ARROGANCE! And always with Humility.
Sheeze, people. I'm joking. Bless, you know it's a buncha malarky. :)
