Hi Sir Gillesana, with regards to spacing beyond Lo (Tie Zone), in accordance with NSCP 418.7.5.5 spacing s, 6db & 150mm which ever is smaller, should I also include / compare the spacing from S= Avfytd/Vs? and with regards to seismic detailing of columns for special moment resisting frames, i have computed the shear force, Ve by obtaining the probable moment, should I use that instead of Vu like we used to do in seismic detailing of beam and Set the Vc = 0 when the conditions are met. Thank you in advance for your answer. by the way, i'm also a gillesana book user. I have used that during my review days.

Sir tanong lang po, sa pagkuha ng bc, di po ba sa short dimension lang yung ikokonsider (perpendicular sa shearing force) kung nasan yung tensile crack? parang sa Av lang den? Wala po kasi ako nakita sa code na icocompute on both shorter and longer dimension. Salamat po :)

yes but shear can occur in either direction

@@GillesaniaEngineeringVideos opo, pero sa specified problem, horizontal yung shear force so 63 mm po ba dapat? o talagang icoconsider both sides?

@@princewindericgazaaclan262 ah yes I got your question, but the provision for seismic design doesn't just consider for one shear direction only. It has to be in both directions.
