Trust me, there's a possibility this could become more relevant in the distant future if PSPs, PSP chargers and older consoles get hard to come by or become really expensive or antique then you'll have to make do with what you have. You never know.

I had the same ending with the yellow tip, tried connecting it to two 5v and 5.2 v heads and it didnt work :( I couldnt really tell which side was negative or positive, the 1st head was 2 black cables The second head had a white cable in the middle and the rest was around the white cable. lol i tried

REMEMBER TO TAPE THE WIRES INDIVIDUALLY SO IT DOESNT SHORT AND TO CHECK IF THE VOLTAGE ON THE PLUG MATCHES THE PSP!

I had a Sony camcorder with the same 5v charging cable , and using that , back the early 2000’s Sony had almost universal cables for their products

Only when a battery is in it. The battery was fully charged, so I had to remove it to test the cable

Yes. Just make sure the amps are not too high. But it most likely won't be. 7v plugs never really have high amps
I would try this but I dont have any tools at all or more accurately I only have screws, nuts and bolts
help my psp is hard to turn on. when its on it turns off right away.
