Stunning video as usual Henry, you often say a ‘thank you’ to us ‘fans’ but really it’s us who should be thanking you, you take us to some amazing places and show us amazing photos, you’re such an inspiration to us all. Cheers Mate
Anyone else waiting for that auld Nikon to A over T at 14.30 onwards ! Either the wind or an excitable arm to skelp it down the hill ! Braw first 'in series' Henry, well done .
It's good to have a long term project. Not only within the field of photography, but in some others as well. To not do a thing all at once. Where you take your time and get it done bit by bit. No rush; no instant gratification. It lends a different perspective to the task, and I think, has value for people in today's instant rush rush culture. I hope I can follow your project all the way even if it is ten years to completion. Thanks again, Henry. Also, you came away with some nice shots this day.
Henry, what a day you had. Absolutely stunning scenery & you caught it beautifully, you really outdid yourself with this one. Incredible video with superb photos. Thank you.
Henry Sir. Just watched your Whiteless Pike video. You speak of the light, the fells and the views. I just wanted to speak about YOU. Your passion and emotion for this special place. The area around Crummockwater is special to me. I'm in awe every time. You just display everything I feel when I'm there. Thank you. 👍
Another great vlog, I love your enthusiasm not only for the photography but for your surroundings, I'm off to our caravan in Wales next week and can't wait to try out my used (new to me) D7100 and a sigma 10-20mms lens which I've treated myself too as your videos have inspired me all over again. Thank you Henry 👍
Oh I do love a sun star. Lovely images and great video. I am so glad to see you back in the Lakes at last. Your Wainwright videos will be such a treat to watch. Thank you.
It is such a joy to see your long walks result in such stunning photographs. As I was hiking in Hueco Tanks this week I kept thinking about what I’ve learned from you to have a great time and improve my compositions. I’m 66 and still climbing about, so I know we all have more of your inspiring hikes to share in. Stay well and keep living your dream.
Fantastic Henry. Good luck with the Wainwrights but by climbing them one at a time seems very unique and ambitious, but hey. I have completed 52 but owing to health issues and age I can no longer climb. Some I have have climbed several times. But by watching your channel I can experience them again. Thank you.
Beautiful! What an amazing location. I never get tired of seeing the Lake District. Someday I’ll experience it in person. Thanks for this beautiful video.
The texture on the water in the first image is nice too - on top of everything else. It's always fun to have a variety of light and precipitation while out and about. Thanks for sharing
Favourite Video so far Henry😀 the views look absolutely stunning and the Photos are just breathtaking, Catch you On Sunday on your next outing on UA-cam 📷😀📷
I like your idea to do all 214 fells individually. As a foreigner to the UK, I have never before heard of Mr. Wainwright but now I have ordered/received his seven books even though I never might get there. Your video inspired me! Thank you, Henry!
Love it ! I enjoy all of your videos Henry- the best! 😘🥳😍🥰😹🤗👏👏👏👏👏 You are definitely living in the 5th dimension! ⭐️❤️🤗 it’s a great time to be alive! 🤗😘 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Thank you - beautiful pictures Wow 🤩 Living in bliss! 🤗⭐️❤️⭐️❤️⭐️❤️
Another cracking day out Henry ... superb photography as ever, and massively enjoyable. I very much look forward to the next in the series of "Henry follows Alfred". Thanks for the trip out.
Good luck, I completed a few years back (took 4 years) Mainly i did in ones or two's except for Fairfield and Kentmere Rounds. I think only a bit of Back O Skiddaw I wasn't that enthused by, but for most you can see why he chose them. You'll also have to chose which will be your final top. Mine was Place Fell.
If i have half the memories you're going to have Henry, i'll be a lucky man. Good luck with the project. Loved the images and video. Thanks for sharing mate.
'Every one a winner' I think is the phrase?? If this is the FIRST - wow!! As you would say: 'what a treat!!' Thanks Henry as always - you just HAVE to put that first pano on the wall at your exhibition!! Stay safe. :-))
Gorgeous. Outstanding video. Really enjoyed the panoramas (especially the first one) and the final sun star image. Thanks for taking us along. Love the project. Enjoy!
Fantastic start to what promises to be a gargantuan task. Look forward to seeing you blagging a few Monro's up in Scotland in-between your Wainwrights :-)
stunning shots Henry very nice start. look forward to getting around the country and getting some nice shots from what I've picked from yourself & others 👍👍
Another cracking film Henry and such wonderful images. For me, the 'sun-star' takes the biscuit! Years since I went to The Lakes. Visited many times (without a camera!) in the 1970's and 80's. It's now a bit of a trip from Hampshire but plan to go back before too much longer. Cheers, Andy
God's Own Country to kick off your Wainwright adventure. When I was 15 I did my first ever solo camping trip on a bike from Cockermouth, camping at Syke Farm in Buttermere. Used to walk Rannerdale Knott area regularly. The sunburst over Crummock and Loweswater were "top drawer". Excellent stuff
Couldn't like this video any quicker if I tried! Can't wait to watch more of the series. The lakes certainly are a special place, can't wait to be back there.
That something else...an existential question. I almost hesitate to take a "guess". But, you seem to be having multiples of those moments that many only dream of or are completely unaware of. Sensing that "other" which is a glimpse of truth and a hint of the transcendent reality that cannot be addressed by a purely material perspective. Thanks for sharing with us. Your videos are a comfort to the "Soul".
We are so lucky on this little island of ours. It's been too long since I was last in the Lakes but now lockdown is easing ......... Fantastic images Henry. Keep it up mate and stay safe.
I literally felt your excitement mate as you photographed those peaks towards the end. What an insanely great video and project you’ve set yourself - cannot wait to witness those climbs as you complete each one Henry - fantastic work 💯💯💯
I’ve just gone backwards through your Wainwright vlogs. Awesome as usual. Right now, you are my “eyes” in the Lake District (until the pandemic ends and I get my knee surgery) as well as my photography tutor, so here’s a hearty “cheers!” Can’t wait for your 2022 calendar - I’ve preordered already.
Lucky you but we are equally lucky because you are sharing this with us. Once all this craziness is over I'm going to make hubby very happy - insisting on a photography holiday. He gets to visit family/friends and I get to play Henry Turner for a week or so.
By the time you complete your challenge Henry, you will end up with a fabulous collection of images based on what you shared today. Like Sunday's video, your panorama today was absolutely stunning. Might be worth doing a pano for each of your climbs as that would be some collection by the time you complete your last Wainwright
Be with you every step of the way wish i was there with you yet another Brilliant Video can't wait till next one . Can't Thank you enough you have helped a lot of people with your Broadcasts over this Lockdown i am sure everyone would agree . Thanks once again mate
@@HenryTurnerphoto your welcome mate you have kept a lot of people going through this lockdown me included lol. When you have time on your video's can you go over how to use the live view to get a good picture please . Thanks Once Again
Good on you mate! I spent years up there, and never did them all. I got so involved with being in the moment on each top, that I could still be up there when everybody was long finished and back to the pub! It can make you like some Indian mountain Guru, sat engrossed, and staring into the abis of its beauty, philosophical minded, and lost in a world of Wainright wonder! I look forward to more of your meanderings! Ps; brilliant images taken!
Awesome photos yet again Henry and a great idea for a series....I’ll be following you every step of the way up all the Wainwrights. Thank you for your channel, it’s very entertaining 👍
Just love your enthusiasm and knowledge! So its me that says THANK YOU to you. You enrich this old fella, that has memory issues, so I note down all the camera settings in the hope that I can achieve some lasting memories. Thanks Henry.
Awesome start to your personal journey of the Wainwright’s. Happy that you are bringing us along as well Henry. Wonderful edition to your inspiring & educational content. Really makes me want to get on a plane & head to the UK to witness these for myself. Am looking forward to your further expeditions.
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, they are very peaceful and relaxing. I get a buzz off of your passion for photography and encourages me to get out more with my camera! Thanks!
I love your enthusiasm. You are very fortunate to have such a great area to photograph in. Where I am, it's flat. Very little variation. Bleh. Keep cracking on Henry!
OMG young Henry! What a place...what views...what stunning photos! Who needs to go abroad when we have these special places to visit. Beautiful conditions and light. You lucky lucky blighter. Keep em coming Henry.
Look forward in 5 or 10 years time to the 'I hiked my last wainwright' video. I'd be doing the same if I lived closer, at least I can tick off Hellvellyn, along with Ben Nevis and Snowdon. Great sunset photo at the end with that view 👍
Another inspiring video! Your enthusiasm is infectious and has led me to get out there and use your techniques to make me a better landscape photographer. Hats off!
Fantastic!
Stunning video as usual Henry, you often say a ‘thank you’ to us ‘fans’ but really it’s us who should be thanking you, you take us to some amazing places and show us amazing photos, you’re such an inspiration to us all. Cheers Mate

The pano at 13.05 my fav, the light and layers work so well and what a great way to start your wainwright’s journey
