Maimane thanks Mashaba for service to DA

DA leader Mmusi Maimane has thanked former City of Johannesburg Mayor, Herman Mashaba, for his service in the DA as well as to the residents of Johannesburg. Mashaba resigned on Monday from the Democratic Alliance (DA) as the Mayor of Johannesburg.
It follows the election of Helen Zille as the party’s Federal Council Chairperson on Sunday. Mashaba has previously indicated that he would call it quits, should - what he calls - the ‘right wing aligned DA faction’ win.
