I'm here to say thank you. I forwad your statement as you read through and wrote my statement within two days. I'm glad to say that i was offered admission in less than 24 hours after submitting it. This video is old but gold . I wish you see my comment.
You have no idea how much you’ve helped me in drafting my personal statement. I was able to get a much clearer idea about how an ideal statement should look like after watching this video. I recently received an offer for the MSc Child Development for the Sept’23 intake. Thank you so much!
@@palakthakker1614 Thank you! I got in for the MSc Child Development delivered by UCL’s Institute of Education. It took them 3 months and me emailing them several times to get back to me with a decision lol. Which course did you apply to?
What was the word limit for your personal statement? For an education degree, it is 500 words. Hence, I find it particularly hard to condense all my relevant experience and purpose for graduate studies within such a tight word-limit.
Hey, it depends on the institution, but I think 500 is usually the word count. Write the personal statement out in full. Then, begin to cut it down, make it more concise, remove sections that are repetitive and sections that do not highlight your main reasons for wanting to study at the uni and your key achievements. Paraphrase sentences to make them smaller. Use single line spacing and justify your document (if you want to confine it to a page). Hopefully this helps. Goodluck x
Hi Love, I want to ask you a question to overcome my confusion Please. I think we can apply for 5 universities through UCAS and is not the same personal statement used for all the applied universities ??? If so than how can we mention the name of any specific university in that personal statement.
Hi, I’m from London and applying for 2023, it’s one personal statement for all 5 universities, avoid naming universities in your personal statement. Focus specifically on the course you want to study
Good Evening Ma'am I am interested in studying for my masters degree in Human Rights Law at UCL, my overall grade score is 63% when I calculate all the modules from my first Law Degree. Do I stand a chance of being accepted with such grades at the UCL? Yolisa Mtumtum South Africa 🇿🇦
Hey...how many days have you spent in writing your personal statement? I'll be applying to law schools this year and a reply from you will be highly appreciated! :D
Hi there! All the best with your applications. I had a tight deadline, so I spent about a month writing and editing the personal statement. Do what works best for you.
Very good personal statement, it is very helpful. It seems pretty long to me, do you know the limit of words for UCL. How many words did you wrote? Did you upload it as a document, or you fit in the application field? Thank you for this video!
It was two pages long. I uploaded it as a word document. Check their UCL Laws website for entry requirements - this will provide specifications for the personal statement.
@Onose Ogbebor Hi Onose, I have just seen your reply and I wanted to tell you that, I have gotten in! (both at UCL and LSE 😝) Once again, very useful video and very well detailed. I am grateful that I have found your video last year by this time. Thank you for your time and help❣️

Hi there! This is one to discuss with the Law Admissions team at the uni and look through the grade requirements. All the best with your application!
Can you share schools that accept third class in uk masters programs
I think you'll have to research that, and the specific courses that accept such grades.
