My son was backing out of our driveway and hit our recycling bin, and smashed the taillight on my wife’s 2010 highlander, we found a replacement on Amazon and it fit fine, the only trouble was having to remove so many interior pieces, too much in my opinion. This video shows that some parts are good enough for the age of the vehicles.
I live in northern Alberta red neck country, and some of the lifted truck abortions you see running around are truly breathtaking. You on the other hand have good taste.
Thanks Peter - I always learn something from each task, even if not applicable to my vehicle. Your patient and professional approach to the smallest tasks is something we can all learn from.
Fine job! Think I would fix the mirrors, get a radio in it that you're happy with, and call it quits. Amazing how much money was spent on crap to make it look and drive worse.
Those look just like the tail lights I just replaced on my 2012 Tundra... AKKON brand, available on Amazon for less than $100 for the pair. I also reused the OEM harness and everything fit perfectly on my truck
They are projects. You take one to make videos and when a customer needs something, a family friend or a favor, you let her go. Probably being used as a grocery getter or college student purposing is my guess. College town in next area over.
all cars are female. It has traditionally been the way of vessels at sea where our lives are in control of the vehicle. temperamental and needing maintenance and service, but if ou treat her right, she sacrifices herself to someday maybe even save yours. Throughout history, men have been the stewards and providers and through that boats, planes, cars are the fairer sex. You want to have a bad day? treat your vehicle poorly.
English lost most of its genders many many many years ago. Although most of modern English (~90%) is borrowed from other languages (Norman Invasion playing a role), its roots are still Germanic. Genders in language are not the same as sexes. For instance in French you have masculine and feminine as genders. Has nothing to do with the word being a "female" word, it's just basically like a type one or a type two word. German has three, male female and neuter -- der, die and das. English has lost most of it, but it can still be acceptable to refer to vehicles as a "she," not because the vehicle is a female, it is simply a reflection of history.

She is looking better with each step you are taking to get her back to normal! The wheels and tail lights make a huge difference for the better!
She is definitely looking so much better!!
Nice work Peter ! 👍

Thank goodness you are helping this truck out. Chrome isn’t meant on that Tundra!
I'm enjoying your Tundra repair videos, Peter 👍
Looks like a different truck.. good job Peter
Quite an improvement. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the transformation back to original glory. Thanks for showing us.
You have improved the vehicle, twards to the rear, very good job.
Boy, what a BEAUTIFUL TAILLIGHT UPGRADE, Peter!! Looks absolutely AWESOME!! My friend😅
Did you do a light check after installing them to make sure they worked? I would have liked to see them lit up to see how great they look.
I'm glad to see you're getting her where you want. As always, another great video.
Great job, Peter. As always, thank you for sharing this video my friend. Cheers 🇨🇦🇺🇸👍

The garbage truck gave me a laugh 😆
Glad to see the cheap Chinese chrome taillights have replaced with quality Chinese taillights from eBay 👍
That Truck is Looking Awesome
Truck looks better already nice to put back to stock.
I've had really good success with eBay or Amazon replacement lights. Some are better than others. Great job!
It's actually a Torx Plus - TP30
Nothing is easy.
OEM harness over an Amazon special anyday.
Great video, always learn something from you.
Peter, I would have liked to see the tail lights lit up for the full effect.
Much better! Almost de-pimped.👍
Looks much better with the new taillights.👍
Fine job! Think I would fix the mirrors, get a radio in it that you're happy with, and call it quits.
Amazing how much money was spent on crap to make it look and drive worse.
You need to sell those 24 inch rims and let us know how much you get. Good job!
"Hey, those tail lights were the reason I bought the truck!" Actually said someone who previously sold it.
One word. Beautiful !! 🎉
From Trash 🗑 style back to elegant ✨️ 👌
Were are. You. Located. You. Are. Excellent. Mechanic. Im. From. Edmonton canada ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Now it looks like a Tundra again👍🏻
Those look just like the tail lights I just replaced on my 2012 Tundra... AKKON brand, available on Amazon for less than $100 for the pair. I also reused the OEM harness and everything fit perfectly on my truck
Looking better each time you work on it. Keep it going!
Watch out petr, getting into cream puff status.
New rims are great!
👍👍😀thanks Peter, useful information.
Reusing the OEM harness was a good move.
That garbage truck! SLAM it bro! SLAM it bro! SLAM it!🤣😅😂😱

Peter, what happened with the previous project car? The Scion.

Looking good. Third party is the way to go on taillights but not so much for headlights. I'm on the fence on those side steps, are they going next.
Getting there Petr
Now onto the side steps...
Love the garbage truck cameo appearance
Awesome Auto technician Peter
strong thumbs up
Looks great
Hey, with all the tailgate damage, you can’t be too choosey?
I was waiting for you to test it out.
Great truck! Such a good find. 😍
Install LED bulbs in the back up lights, you won't believe the improvement.
How much did you pay for yours and which level of bright did you select?
Exellent!
gorgeous tail lights..happy truck!
Link to those taillights? My 2007 has the original lights and they are starting to crack.
A blind man would be glad to see it!!!
Petr before you, she belonged to the streets.
That tundra's value is going up since you are taking the trash out
❤
Next change gas lid please.
Why do those rims and tires look too small?
Those were "normal" 17 years ago. Look small by today's standards.
Those are factory - he replaced them in a previous video.
@@alabama2uz That makes sense. It could be that I am used to seeing the smaller gaps my Taco wheels
The OEM fit isn’t perfect
the car is a female ??
