According to Minty Comedic Arts, Director Christopher Columbus was offered the chance to direct, however after meeting with Chase over lunch for an hour he walked out stating 'he couldn't work with him'. Instead he was offered to direct 'Home Alone'. When the dotty grandmother first enters the house, she asks if 'Rusty is still in the Navy?' - this seems out of place until you look at the Xmas 1955 video and there is a young man in white Navy uniform. Clark Griswalds boss is played by actor Bill Murray's older brother.
Merry Christmas Rocky. For all I don't like Chevy Chase as a person, I do like his movies (as I convince myself he's someone else!) and this is certainly one of my favourites and cousin Eddie is my favourite character in the film.
@@ronfehr7899 Oh, I agree, it's very rare that anyone, no matter how much of a schmuck they might be doesn't at least have a few good traits in them. Can't like or be liked by everyone, some folk really can't stand me and I'm ok with that.
Chevy and Beverly also did a commercial for Ford a few years ago where they plugged the house lights into a Mustang Mach E when the lights wouldn’t work.
@@CreachterZ Its a bold claim considering Home alone is the top grossing movie of all times. highest grossing of the year it came out, highest over the 1990s and highest over the period since it came out until today.
@@CreachterZ of course, its all subjective but not saying much when speaking to Home alone is factually not right, its such a magedon vehicle. great movie. john huges was the goat.
Christmas Vacation is on heavy rotation thIis Christmas season. December 2024. Just Today, I have caught either all or parts of 4 different showings. I have caught all or parts of 6 different showings of A Toy Story. You'll shoot your eye out, kid.
That there Is a Second One by National Lampoon that has Eddy In It. But it Looks and Feels and Acts like it's a "Made for TV" P.O.S... Came out in 2003.
There are a couple of scenes that should have been left out to make this an excellent family movie. For example, the shopgirl nipple thing. It adds nothing and may drive folks away.
Watched this with the kids a week ago, the humor stands the test of time.
Chevy was such a funny guy, used to love him as a kid.
From what I've learned, this is the only one of the Vacation movies in which the Griswolds don't actually travel anywhere for their vacation.
Happy New Year 🆕🎇🎊🎄🎄🙏🏻❕
One of the few Christmas movies that doesn't show Christmas Day. Credits roll it's Christmas Eve.

From what Johnny Galecki said about Chevy bringing him to other sets on the studio lot, Chevy at least did have some good traits.

Thanks for the vids. Merry Christmas Rocky!

@ Just my personal opinion. I’m all for everyone loving what they love.

Save the neck for me Clark…. 😂
Merry Christmas 🎄☃️
It was nice to hear that Chevy was so cool with his co-star after hearing so many horrible things about him in other movies.
Good do. Merry Christmas and Best of Days to You and all the viewers.
Merry Christmas Rocky (That’s the name of one of my cats).
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
☃Brian Doyle Murray was in Vacation and Christmas Vacation.🎅🎥🎬🦌
Yep, I believe he was running the cabins that look like tents. (I think)
I miss Holiday Road, but still my favorite

um, Clark and Rusty DO have a heart to heart chat, but, it's broken up throughout the film
Another channel Stories from Popcorn Time using your content?

Eric idle is also Mr Epcot
How do you know what I know or don’t know about movies?
Why would yuppie couple Todd and Margo live in the suburbs?
The original Vacation and Christmas are the best. European and Vegas were crap.
European is fair and Vegas isn't bad. the 2015 one is crap

it's just another gag like all Clark's flirts in previous films.
that’s chevy for ya
