The Early Access PC release for Dark Fantasy ARPG Kristala is AVAILABLE MEOW on Steam, with console releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch to come following a full Steam launch in 2025.
Seamlessly blending elements of magic, stealth, and parkour, Kristala transports you into the world of Ailur as a fledgling feral warrior tasked with harnessing the power of six ancient, sacred Kristals. Battle your way across Ailur using an arsenal of fierce attacks, feline skills, deadly weapon abilities, and an explosive mix of up to 16 spells at one time.
Your goal? Uncover the source of a terrible curse that has mutated the planet’s once-docile creatures into deadly monsters. Only the fiercest warriors will have what it takes to master the Sacred Six, restore peace to Ailur, and join ranks with the highly esteemed Raksaka warriors.
Frequent patches and updates will be shared via Steam's event announcement system as new fixes and content implementations are pushed to Episode 1 of the release.

Played quite a bit of it earlier today, loving it! Yeah there are typical early access hurdles but you can tell this game has some strong bones to it. Looking forward to more updates!

The steam deck page currently says "Unknown" for compatibility but this trailer does show steam deck at the end. Is this currently playable on the deck?
Hello! It is currently playable on the Deck with a few tweaking of settings - we've heard Medium works pretty well. That said, though, we are actively working on getting Kristala Steam Deck verified as well, so definitely stay tuned!! Thanks so much for asking about this, it's great information to share.
@@AstralClocktowerStudios As of now I can run it mostly fine and all low settings (except draw distance is high and shadows are medium) at 60 FPS

@@AstralClocktowerStudios If you would like more deck results, I have played maybe 4 hours or so an plan on playing more:
-If you leave it at default settings, high-max for everything, there is a good chance the game will crash even at 30fps and have frequent drops. As of now (mostly low settings) I do get some drops but no crashes so far.
-There is maybe 2-3% of the screen cut off on each side. This is most apparent in the level up screen, for example "Vitality" looks like "ality"
-Text is a bit small which is normal for steam deck, but sometimes it can overlap. This is most visible when checking a weapon/armor stats from the pause menu
On a positive note, I do like how level ups are saved in live combat so when I die I only lose the excess "souls" that are more than it took to level up

Also glad you dig the way we handled the losing of XP upon death. We had some back and forth on this exact thing amongst the internal team, so it's nice to hear that the way the system is currently set up is enjoyable for players. Thanks again for this valuable feedback all around 🙌
