LD, my wife passed away last November from end stage liver disease at 38 years old. Watching your videos helps me to process the different stages of where she was at and the symptoms she exhibited. It can be a lonely walk, especially if you haven't lived with someone who has cirrhosis. All I can say is it's the worst way to go that I can imagine. You either choose to control alcohol intake on your own terms or if you'll be forced to do so with liver disease and that's miserable. Keep going, brother, we are with you LD! God bless your sobriety, you are making well on your promise to God to help those around you on this platform.
My son’s story is very similar. He was diagnosed with cirrhosis at age 34. He has been sober for almost 2 years now and is doing well. He had several varices removed also. His disease is well compensated right now, and we’re hopeful that he stays this way as long as he stays away from alcohol. I hope you are doing well, too. God bless you.
Thank you for sharing your story. I am glad to hear that your son is no longer drinking and is doing better now. Having this disease is not fun, but you can go on living with some inconveniences. I appreciate you watching! Thank you again! God bless

Your story moved me a lot. I wish you the best. I have been quite from alcohol for ten days now I started having a lot of abnormal sensations in my stomach so I've had enough now. Wish you the best of luck 🙏🏻🤞🏻
What helped me was going on a carnivore diet. That diet reset my body and for the first time I experienced alcohol for the toxin it is. The carnivore diet made me allergic to alcohol, literally. So I stopped drinking as it was giving me bad side effects. My ALT blood numbers went from 510 back to under 60. My liver stopped melting from daily vodka drinking as the carnivore diet made me hate alcohol for the first time in my life. I cant recommend it enough! Been 2 years with no alcohol and i dont miss it at all. If youre reading this and are having issues? Get on the carnivore diet. Its NOT NORMAL to get only good effects from a toxin! Reset your body, get your life back. Reversed type 2 diabetes and lost weight too.
I hope you're doing okay. I've watched a few of these stories... and it seems the doctors love to tell people they will die any minute but they're still here years later, but I hope you're still kickin strong.
I was watching… then took my airpods out thinking my alarm was needing battery change… 😅 I read the comments re that 😂 Sorry you were so sick. Gonna watch yr other vids 🙏🏻 thank you for yr courage and transparency 🌸
I found your story bc I have a family member struggling with alcoholism. I was also a heavy drinker in my teens, 20s and 30s. Praying for you, your wife and your children 🙏🏼

But just watched your most recent vid, then out of curiosity, I looked for your beginning. ..u have healed soooo much. Perfect pudge, rosey cheeks. Even your neck looks younger. Like u have reversed a lot. Hope u and yours are able to see it & are comforted in it u each day:) Love, Family, & Strength be with U
My good friend’s husband had a liver replacement this summer. He was in a 2 month long coma. He has now stopped drinking. He is older than you, sadly his children all got as far away as possible. It’s a terrible disease.
I just realized this was 7 months ago and this is the only video. I went to look for others. Developed a caring for the dude just to realize this was it. I'm quite saddened by that. It would be great if he was still here by chance. :(
thanks for sharing your experience man. this is important to raise awareness around the disease and you’re very courageous for giving us your personal account! hope to see more my friend , get well :)
Had a friend die of pancreatitis, well of blood poisoning after being released from hospital. Said it was the worst pain he’d ever experienced. I’ve been drinking heavily for 40 years but have managed a month or two off almost every year. Must have helped as my liver function tests are great but I do have a “feeling” in the right side of my abdomen. Got to quit asap
Thank you so much. No, I'm still here. I'm sorry that I just forgot about the video and left everyone hangout. I have just had so much going on with my medical stuff that I just forgot. Hope you are well and thank you for the kind words
Have u ever considered doing interviews with people the way you interview your wife? I think not everyone is as open to appear-like myself. Not saying I would but you’ve helped me a lot, and I work in the alcohol industry and struggle.
Hey bro, just wanted to say thanks for all the content and sharing your story with everyone. My story is similar to yours and I've taken everything you've said with very serious consideration. I have quit alchohol and have cleaned up my diet. Your story scared the shit out of me and was the wake up call I needed. God bless you and I hope the future for you is long and joyful and hopefully the technology improves to the point you can be your old self. Thank you. You are a blessing to so many people. Wish you the best dude.
Thank you for sharing your story ❤ you look good considering all you have endured 🙏 my husband has chronic pancreatitis and it's so horrible!!!! He's on morphine...
Hey LD. Appreciate you sharing your tough story. My story is less severe - I'm in my late 50's, & I'm obese - I now understand that I may have some degree of liver disease (Less certain about my pancreas, but I may have issues there as well .. from excessive binge drinking in my youth - Some of your story is familiar), so things aren't working as they should be. I've adopted a carnivore diet, with some keto (mostly to attend to my microbiome) - Trying to deal with insulin resistance with some attention to healing my liver - Harry Houdini had pancreatitis, so you're in good company. Take care of yourself & your family. God Bless you 🕊🦅🕊
I feel you 100% I've been in the food industry for about 8 years. From 17- 25 now. I've struggled hard with alcohol I drank in my teens when I had the access but once I turned 21 it turned into every day of drinking. Every day I'd get off work and grab about 3-6 mikes hard. It got bad to where I had work at 4am and I was drinking at 2am right after waking up. I could keep going but I am currently in the process of a bunch of test after going to the dr today and explaining everything, been throwing up and pooping dark blood(sorry tmi), pain in my right abdomen etc.its going to take about 2 weeks for my blood results and approval from insurance for the other tests. They are testing all of my organs from liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, every organ. Glad I listened to your story.
Thank you for sharing your story and hope continue to get well. Unfortunately, my brother past away just yesterday😢ive lost two brothers now to alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. He was in the hospital for month and a half esophagus varices ruptured and had three surgeries while in the hospital. Drs told him he'll die if he didn't stop drinking, he said he was done no more. But they continue to keep him in the hospital, then transfer to another hospital but from there he went down hill, he couldn't walk, use hands or anything he didn't understand what was happening to him ..they were giving him so much medicines orally and through veins, even said he was improving eventhough it seemed he wasn't, even said he would be transfer to another hospital for liver transplant...and within 4 days he was gone. This makes me wonder if it's even a good idea to even stay in the hospital for that long, cause it seems that at the end theyll still kill you and all those medicines with the liver problem the person already have, i think meds just make it worst. We're mourning because regardless he was a great person and we missed him so much. He was a veteran of the US army and went to combat, had PTSD and struggled with alcohol for so long but it seemed he got worst on the last three months or so.
I’m so sorry about your brothers. I agree with you about that medicines are also very damaging for the liver. Thankful for your brothers service. I had a neighbor that had PTSD from the service and he drank himself to death alone. So very sad. His legs had swollen up so much he couldn’t walk anymore and his top was so skinny he looked like a skeleton. Praying for all Dealing with this horrible addiction! Lord please help those struggling with this horrible addiction. Help them see it is a poison that is killing them and it is destroying their lives not helping them. Please lead them to have no desire for alcohol. Please help them heal and return to full health. Most of all help them be saved & know how much You love them that You, Jesus, died on the cross for their sins so that if they believe in You they will be saved. There is always hope with You. Amen 🙏🏻❤️
Good luck to you. My brother has a drinking problem. I'm not sure what else to do about him. We're also in SC. He's in Greenville and I'm in North Augusta.
I’m sharing your story with a loved one who I concerned might be developing an alcohol problem. Thank you for raising awareness and I’m sorry you are going through this. My Thoughts and prayers go out to you .
Holy cow man. What a story. I can see you’re still alive from your recent videos i’d love to know the full story. The fact you forgot to do an update and forgot the video was even posted is memory loss related to cirrhosis?
I was diagnosed with liver disease a yr ago. I have never been a drinker. Can count on both hands how many times I have drank in my life. I have non alcoholic liver disease. Its a terrible illness and has ruined my life in so many ways. Take care of your body because its the only one you get. I was so mad that I got this and never was a drinker but instead Im trying to focus on educating others about it.
After stopping drinking for about 3 months i drank a couple more times, then decided i wanted an abdominal ultrasound. Turns out i have mild to moderate fatty liver. I need to stop alcohol completely and fix my diet, lowering carbs, im lucky to have decent health overall. So hopefully i can improve my liver, my blood tests showed improvement im several areas over the 3 months sober. Your story is amazing and terrifying. You give me more motivation to remain sober.

@@kenwin5845A lot of Christian religions discourage alcohol or drugs. AA was started by Christian people. It’s mainly the Catholic religion that drinks socially. Ask Pentecostals or other orthodox Christian religions if they do drugs and alcohol (some strict Christian religions are even wary of coffee or spices like the 7th Day Adventist Christians). Keep in mind that alcoholics are also open minded to other drug substances which can create a terrible combination. Also plenty of atheists drink alcohol as well so let’s not pretend it’s just Christians.
Have cutting back on alcohol last time. What helped me during heavy drinking periods is that i never felt the urge to drink in the daytime. I could be on a long binge but i never drank during the day. Stopped cold turkey and yes it felt weird first evenings but it wore off quick. Drinking modestly now.
I think the way people use alcohol really varies. I never drink in the morning or daytime, I have no interest or urge to drink unless it's the evening, but that urge can very powerful. I have started a new rule this year not to have alcohol at home, so I am only occasionally drinking socially in a bar.

I think you were commenting on another channel back around March. I remember making a reply to your comment. I said you should you should make a video and tell your story. You probably don't remember that because there were other people maybe said the same things but you did make a video should be there after. When you kind of disappeared and thank you to God and serendipity that you found your old video in the algorithm. Posting here because something's weird about the other video. Is Scott no comments and I think it's limited when it comes to certain things but nonetheless I noticed other people also came over here to comment. I'm sorry about the problems you've been having and I just want you to hang in there and see what the future brings. The way your other video pop up. Glad to see you making a video again. Take care of yourself and you might want to check with UA-cam to see if you've been monetized with that many views. I'm just saying if it's old to you then it's owed to you. Could help you out just like any of us. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours ‼️🙏

I stumbled onto this video last year. I guess it is a year old. You look a hell of a lot healthier now, man. I am surprised they didn't noticed or speak of your liver enzymes when they did your blood test.
Jesus man you’re lucky to still be alive. Best of luck on your journey brother. I’m sure you’ll never touch a drop of alcohol again. Even though I’m MGTOW I have to say your wife sounds like an incredible woman to stay with you through all of that.
Thank you! We have been together since we were kids. I don't think she would have stayed if it wasn't for that. She knew me before I had a problem and had faith I could change.... even when I didn't have faith in myself. Thank you for the comment and kind words! God bless!
Our active alcoholism story is the same. 1/2 gallon every other day or so. I’ve been sober 20 years, and you can too! One day at a time. If you aren’t in AA I beg you to become active. I’ve come to believe the most we can hope for in this journey is to help others. Your videos are helping many. You can help those in your community, and accept their love and help.
I drink often, but I don't have this guy's story. Started drinking at 30. I have like 2 glasses of red wine and an IPA almost everyday... but very spread out over the day. I never come close to being drunk and never hung over. I know I drink more than average person.... but i don't think i need to change anything. Thoughts?
Thank you, it is totally up to you. I just made a video recently about the harms of alcohol and the who just put out a study from the European region and they say that even small amounts of alcohol can cause major issues health wise. Alcohol is a category 1 carcinogen. I am not here to tell anyone what to do with their lives, I just want to bring knowledge and awareness on this. I never thought I would end up sick like I did, but I also drank a lot! Thank you for sharing. God bless
Get a blood test. That should tell you. Alcohol is a poison. There is no getting around that. It may be good for relaxing, carbs, protein, and other medicinal purposes but in the end l, it's poisonous to our body.
It might not sound like a lot of alcohol but the fact that you're doing that almost everyday means it adds up. If you're not really getting drunk it doesn't mean it's not causing inflammation and/or liver fat. I don't know where you live but most public health advice is not to exceed about 1 bottle of wine per week. I was regularly drinking 1-2 litres of beer nearly every day and I have stage 2 steatosis (fatty liver disease) which I only know about because I paid for a fibroscan after getting a slightly abnormal blood test result. Fortunately I do not have any signs of scarring but it was still a wake-up call. I no longer drink any alcohol at home and only have a couple of drinks very occasionally in a bar or restaurant. That one change allowed me to cut out 90% of my drinking. I'm not trying to go completely sober because I know I won't stick to it, so it's just harm reduction at this point.
@@HeffewiezenDudeGuyblood test might not tell you. My liver enzymes were normal, I just had slightly elevated bilirubin. The doctor said it's probably just a genetic disorder and harmless because I'm not overweight. I got a fibroscan which revealed a 60% fatty change in my liver ie moderate fatty liver disease.
I really feel sorry for your wife... working all day, stressed out with worry about you then coming home to find you passed out drunk... wash, rinse, repeat...
Glad your feeling better brother, commenting here because the comments are disabled on the other video.. if you are not already doing it, maybe you could do go to a specialized doctor to make a strict diet for health, to help your pencreas and overal health..drink some tea that could help your pancreas and liver, and maybe cut the coffee.. stay strong brother.

I was watching… then took my airpods out thinking my alarm was needing battery change… 😅
I read the comments re that 😂
Sorry you were so sick. Gonna watch yr other vids 🙏🏻 thank you for yr courage and transparency 🌸

My good friend’s husband had a liver replacement this summer. He was in a 2 month long coma. He has now stopped drinking. He is older than you, sadly his children all got as far away as possible. It’s a terrible disease.
I'd like to hear the rest of the story. Hope this man is doing well today
I just realized this was 7 months ago and this is the only video. I went to look for others. Developed a caring for the dude just to realize this was it. I'm quite saddened by that. It would be great if he was still here by chance. :(
@@ACEshredZwait so according to your research, this video is it IT? 😮😮😮

Just posted yesterday. Thank u for watching!
Thanks for sharing your story. It’s unbelievable how life’s circumstances can change so suddenly.
Thank you 🙏🏼 for sharing brother!!! The struggle is Real!!! You don’t know how much you sharing helps ❤thank you!!!
Had liver transplant in 2002 and still here tablets and drink done the damage
I thought you died, I've been praying for you. Thanks for the update. I appreciate the humility and being humble. God bless you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your story.i was in food business like you and i know the addiction issues. Prayers for you and your family! Be well.

All my best thoughts for you. Thank you for being so honest ❤
Thank you!!!!! God bless
Thanks for sharing. Hope your recovery continues.
God Bless you 🕊🦅🕊
Remove bread, potatoes, pasta, and sugar from your diet. Basically low carbs only. You will lose lots of weight and not feel hungry
Thank you so much. I had no idea about Harry. Just posted a part 2.
@jnolette1030 I'm low carb high protein. I use tudca for liver. I feel best in 5 yrs. I'm 6 months sober
@starbright1256 thats awesome! Good for you! God bless you on your sobriety journey!
Over eating can cause cirrhosis of the liver also.
Praying for all
Dealing with this horrible addiction! Amen 🙏🏻❤️
So sorry. I agree about all the meds and I'm a nurse.
I feel Sorry about your loss 😢please accept my condolences
Good luck to you. My brother has a drinking problem. I'm not sure what else to do about him. We're also in SC. He's in Greenville and I'm in North Augusta.
I’m sharing your story with a loved one who I concerned might be developing an alcohol problem. Thank you for raising awareness and I’m sorry you are going through this. My Thoughts and prayers go out to you .
Holy cow man. What a story. I can see you’re still alive from your recent videos i’d love to know the full story. The fact you forgot to do an update and forgot the video was even posted is memory loss related to cirrhosis?
You are a pleasure to listen to sir. Thanks for the help with my abstinence of the damn poison
I can relate man. Sober 7 years. I am fortunate I never got cirrhosis, and surprised I didn't.
I ended up watching the whole Video and I really hope that you are ok.....
Please post another video show us your alright
The battery in your fire alarm needs replacing.
Omg, I thought it was mine until reading this comment, how weird… I was being lazy and was dreading getting out of bed and going to get a ladder… 😳
@anisong3258 same here! Lol
I was going around my house with my AirPods in trying to find which detector was doing it! 😂
rumor has it that 7 months later he still hasn't changed the battery in his smoke detector
What an inspiration man you are. My goodness you give me hope ❤
Change that battery brother. Smoke detectors save lives.
I'm glad that I found this and I hope that you're doing better.
I'm glad you found it too! Thank you! God bless
@@liverdisease-qb6rkbro help me out please i am suffering from alcohol addiction from past 10 years and been drinking hard liquor straight almost everyday I am nearly at deads end please help me out 🙏
Thanks for sharing, hope you are doing well. Funny aside, I could hear the alarm in the background, and was thinking was on my end, haha, needless to say, I couldn't find the low battery smoke alarm!
Thankyou for your story. How're you doing now?
Hope you got that fire alarm battery replaced..when we drink we tend to forget things ..i know i left a pot on the stove burning when i was drunk..fortunately if found it before it was too bad. Hope you are ok man. Brian from Canada.
Hey! Yeah... that got fixed. I couldn't get to it because it was at the top of the stairs in a very awkward place and was too sick to do it then. Doing much better now though. You should check out my newest videos. I look way different now. Thank you! Hope all is well up in Canada! God bless

alcohol is so bad ; wish more people would Wake up to the truth about it
that stupid thing about wine being jesus' blood. christianity damages too many people
yes that communion stuff always seemsed vile to me ; something really off/ ritualistic about it ; creepy @@kenwin5845
What an amazing story, so very tragic for you and your family.
God bless you my friend I'm not doing good with my cirrhosis
God bless you too! I am so sorry. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help! I am here for you. Thank you! God bless
That's very good to hear! Thank you for sharing and for watching these videos! God bless
I think the way people use alcohol really varies. I never drink in the morning or daytime, I have no interest or urge to drink unless it's the evening, but that urge can very powerful. I have started a new rule this year not to have alcohol at home, so I am only occasionally drinking socially in a bar.
3:30 am here . I hope your doing better bro. I’m going through a stage of swollen right side . I feel lost . I don’t feel like eating I feel like I seen a ghost I have the jitters all over my arms. I’ve had a fatty liver over 10 years. Man I’m just worried
I know exactly how you feel. My liver when I drank always had a dull pain and I could feel my liver hardness. I never wanted to eat either, stomach always hurt and always felt bloated. Diarrhea all the time. It can get better. Hope you feel better soon. God bless.

That smoke detector needs new batteries
No, I think it's mine
Still waiting his second video, I hope you there getting better.
Look into fasting and eating low carb, both can do wonders for your liver. NAC and milk thistle can also help.
Thank you forbthe advice! Will do! Thank you for watching! God bless
@@liverdisease-qb6rk forgot to mention Tudca as well. Hope you’re on the mend!
Im taking the milk thistle and Nac 👍
Take vitamins B1 and C with your NAC if you're still drinking. The vitamins potentiate the Cysteine
Thank you for sharing your story. How are you doing?
Thank you so much and I do remember. Hope u have a great holiday as well. I will ne posting more videos now that I know so many people are interested and or going through the same thing. Have a great day!
Thank you for the video. You haven't updated for a while, I hope you are good.
