The only experience I had with Joe Biden was when he was vice president and he came to San Antonio Military Medical Center where I worked as an occupational therapist. I was bringing an active duty Soldier down for treatment in a wheelchair to the Activities of Daily Living Apartment (which is a room in the hospital made up to look like someone's apartment to make sure they can do everything they will be doing at home). As I was almost to the room his secret service/staff people came out to the hallway and wouldn't let me in telling me that he was using the room to "freshen up" and I would have to come back later. That's when I knew he didn't give a sh***t about our wounded warriors. To put yourself before the treatment of a wounded Soldier was appalling. All I could say was ok and apologize to the Soldier as I would have lost my career if I disagreed.
