In 2020 I lost my best friend. He was a mixed breed, 25 pounds and my son had brought him home and was told to take him back. Well 11 years I had my furry soul mate. He stayed with me through seizures, slept against me. He was truly the best dog ever. I still ache from that loss but figured no dog can fill that space. My daughter's dog had 6 puppies. One was born with a deformed front leg. Looks like a chicken wing. I adored her from the start, she is about 4 months old now. My mother in law wanted her but I truly didn't want to give her up as she does have a few special needs. My mother in law (whom I don't talk to) told my daughter that she wanted another girl because we already knew how to take care of Piddle (the pup) and she knew I'd been struggling still over losing my boy 3 years ago. This little pup uses her 3 legs as good as if she had all 4 that worked. She launches herself onto laps. She is in no pain and learned how to walk without the leg. She amazes me everyday and just warms my heart. Knowing I get to share my life with her doesn't replace my boy but it sure does make the pain less. My boy would have loved wrestling with her. He was so good with pups and other dogs.❤❤
They seem to know if I like you then this other person who smells like you must be part of the same unit/family/pack. My parents brought out last dog across country to and when she meet me for the first time it was like meeting a long lost friend. Totally endeared herself to me and I loved her the rest of her life.
