I've been trying to see life from his point of view, but his life has a lot of anxiety, bad memories of shame and rejection in school from bullying. Inability to sleep at night at 0300 and 0400 because of tormenting thoughts. He would drink to pass out, only so he could sleep. His stage presence was a designed identity that everybody loved, but that was not really Hideto Matsumoto. The real person was somebody that he was working on, but he didn't know how.
Okay, I'm crying after only 2 minutes. I don't know why I'm surprised. I know this story already. I've known it for a very, very long time. But watching hide talk excitedly about releasing Rocket Dive...and his plans for the future. Fuck. 🫠
