I bought myself this Acer Swift 3 about one month before this review came out….and I honestly don’t get why so many people in my country diss or even thrash Acer - besides Windows 11 ((which often makes me want to replace the laptop just to go back to Windows 10)), the laptop is awesome: it runs super fast and smooth, the display is great (I love watching Netflix on it) and the charge still lasts me hours. Plus, I got it in a cool dark fuchsia (pink/red) color…which is a nice bonus.
I’m thinking of getting it but the price for it I’m seeing in England is £700 which feels a bit high for a laptop that is a year old now. Do you think it’s worth that price or I should wait until there are some kind of special offers?
@@thunderbolt4579 If you look around there aleready are special offers on it (on Acer official store too, which is where I bought it), but based on my experience it's worth every penny spent.

@@thunderbolt4579 Glad to help. :) If you can't find the Swift 3 for a good price (or a price within your budget), the Huawei Matebook D14 or 1, as well as the D15, are very good alternatives.

Hi, i use this laptop, when i press my power button, it interprets it as a long press and the laptop switches off
When i try to put it on, it also doesn't come on most of the time, anyone knows how to fix this? Acer is not in my country

It's a bit of curious but also more of just giving recognition of where it's made. Someone from China, Malaysia, USA, France, etc., might be watching and it's always good to see your home country make something.

Depends. I find swift 3 more portable so I’d prefer that one.
I would go for the Ryzen 7 version instead.

So ladies and gentlemen, an Acer Swift 3 i7 16GB 1TB £800 OR Macbook Air M1 8GB 256GB £859??? Will be used for low-level music production.
I think that the acer would be better as it is cheaper and u get more of a deal. Where as the MacBook it’s only 8 ram and has 256gb but again if ur doing low stuff it should be fine jut the storage can be taken up so easy

My 2024 Swift 3 14" OLED i5-12500H 8/512GB Win11 Home arrives today. So excited to finally have a new LT after using my wife's second hand bricks. Retired and now only need to surf the web, do home Office productivity stuff and watch vids/movies. No gaming or creator vid/music editing needed. After lots of research, just kept coming back to the Acer brand, and this OLED LT. As the Swift 3 is getting phased out for the Swift Go series, I was able to snag this beauty on Acer's site on sale for only $500 (vs. $950+). Battery life only rated at 8 hrs, but that's better than any LT I've even had. Great review even though it's dated.
How is that I5-12500H cpu in life battery and temperature? is it getting hot?...I am looking for Ryzen 7530U ,16/512 variant as it has 15wt and it is pretty cool, but I am curious about Intel as well.thanks
@@vito3266 the battery lasts for about 5 hrs from 80% charged. It doesn't get hot, but then I'm really not challenging the i5 processor that much. I think Acer has again lowered the price on-line.

Don't buy this. I've had this laptop for a few years now and i had to sent it back twice and they sent me new ones but it still keeps freezing, not waking up from sleep mode and getting really slow really fast. Reformatted and reinstalled windows countless times and i don't have warranty anymore so it's just going to stay broken. Worst experience with any laptop ever

@DayoAworunse ok so I have just got this swift 3 .. when I mute any audio there like a static popping that happens it does it on start up to ,,it pretty faint but my other laptops don't do it,,dont suppose u still have urs ?
I don't have mine anymore, but does the static popping only when you mute it or all the time. I had something similar happen on an ASUS laptop but it static popped at any volume. I end up having to get a replacement since it was the speaker module.
