Thanks for the video. Since then I got the F2-84 and F1-8x v2. (F1 not built yet) Polished MXBlack sounds great! I think the GEON keyboards in particular are so great that they don't need to be modded.
100% agree on never having to heavily mod a Geon board. Congrats on the F1 v2! I kinda wanted one in burgundy but I can't justify it cause I already have my Lin Whale haha
Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it dude! Yeah this board stole my heart for a while but my preferences just changed over time and couldn't justify keeping it with all the other boards I've gotten, still gonna miss it a lot now that its gone :(
for me personally, I don't think its worth, its just so much effort to diamond polish LOL. this batch was made over the course of like 5 days when I had a lot of time while just regular lube and film only takes a few hours. I've been leaning towards a deeper sound recently too and diamond polish makes the switches sound a bit thin for my preference
5 days is probably and over exaggeration tbh lol but yeah it’s a super long process and this was my first and probably last time of doing it. Open the switches > Lube the switches with diamond lapping paste > Break them in centred w/ machine > Break them in off centre on each of the 4 sides > Wash off the paste > Dry off each individual switch part > regularly lube and film each switch Basically ends up being more than double the time it takes to regularly lube and film
I'm using a Lewitt LCT 440 Pure XLR through my Scarlett Solo shock mounted to my desk. Thanks for reminding me to start putting this in the descriptions of each vid I've been meaning to do that haha
ah that makes sense the mx blacks in this board too were probably in the break in machine for a little too long too since this was my first batch of diamond polished switches but idk if i wanna try again anyways lol
Perestroika goated set. The board sounds fire too. GS
that spacebar is cleeeaaaan

Also what diamond polish did u use?
I believe it was this one: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004HR5PJ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
@@chenyz i bought like 200k grit 0.1 micron diamond paste and the results was ok idk why
its been a really long time since I've diamond polished but I had good results with the polishing paste I sent earlier
I’ve realized that i polish them for too long 90hr+ which might be ruining the results but idk
ah that makes sense the mx blacks in this board too were probably in the break in machine for a little too long too since this was my first batch of diamond polished switches but idk if i wanna try again anyways lol
