    @Looby456 do NOT connect the 4th to the 1st unit! Don't make a closed ring, it should be like a SPRING. Keep connecting new units to the last unit added!

    I love this tutorial and piece it teaches you a lot of the basic folds and that good segmented origami is tedious. I myself have mad many Slinkys like this over 1000 units long and when people see them they are instantly children again.

    I am in my 60's and I feel just like a kid again when I play with the slinky I made. Thank you for bringing such joy to an old woman. Although I would prefer the non modular style more I have not been able to successfully make that one yet. Oh but I will. LOL

    i made 50 units..i want to add more but i'm just too much lazy..mine is not perfect but at least it is moving! haha
    Tips: don't put very less space when folding vertically going to the middle because you will have difficulty connecting it and don't rush :)

    If you glue something it's going to be gluing. Oragami is the art of foldind paper. Did anyone think of this besides me?

    I had a short yellow one with only 15 units or something and now I upgraded it to 50 units it has some blue units on it and it is awesome 👏🏼 can’t wait to make the non-modeler version

    it is shown in the video...watch it. (its one continuous line turning around like a real slinky so you only need to know how to connect 1 to know the rest, just repeat how u connected the first one.)

    Esse foi um dos primeiros origamis que fiz. Na época, esperei chegar um fim de semana e chamei primos, tias, meu irmão minha mãe meu pai e até meus avós pra ajudar a fazer, o que resultou em histórias que contamos, risadas em fim, foi um dia bem agradável. Esse origami é ótimo pra juntar a família :D

    I made this origami slinky and it says 50 or more units i used 44 units and it works well and i used kami (origami paper) thx for the tutorial!

    Awesome origami. As for the last unit, just make sure it goes under the first unit, and resume from there.

    He had 3 colors: Yellow, Green and Blue, After that he inserted another yellow one, that means it continues that under the first 3 units and making the circle again, then connecting to the one under again.Thats how you connect them, you go round and round and round, He used those 3 colors for a reason.

    you aren't creating rings, the units will just keep stacking onto each other. Try it !

    Hey jo, have you ever tried using memo cubes from office max or staples? Theyr kinda like post its except they're not sticky. I use them and they work great with origami.

    i got a little question here...
    my first try at this was with "notes" paper 10x10 very thin so when i "slip" it from one hand to the other peices seperate sometimes. is that just from paper being too thin?

    Does this work with sticky-notes? Or would it not work too well because they are so small? If you can use them, how do you think I should fold the sticky part so that nothing gets stuck together that shouldn't?

    As long as all of the pieces started with the same paper size, it'll be fine.
    If you made some pieces with 8cm paper and some with 10cm, then there would be a problem. Does that help?
