He rode that thing so lightly , I was hoping he was going to stay in it's powerband more than he did because that thing is wicked fast if you ride it wide open.
That’s how they are meant to be ridden. If you’re not in the powerband you’re not riding it right. Damn I love 2 strokes, I currently have a mint condition 97 RM 250. I’m hoping all of the other brands come out with 2 stroke models. If not I might have to check out the YZ
Keep your chin over the handlebars, and keep your elbows up, same angle as forks" YZ 250 ain't no joke! 😂 If you use that advice you'll feel much more stable and in control! And definitely..pinch your legs together! Recommended by Mike!
That 250, 2nd thru 4th is all you need on hard pack like that. Just work the clutch in the corners and let her rip! Also, lean forward slightly on the jumps, chin over the bar pad, shoulders at a slight angle, aligned with the forks.
u gotta stay on the gas man hold that bad boy wide open dont let off the gas even when u are shifting it will make a smoother power delivery to keep it in high rpm's
Your arms hurt because you're in 2nd gear and "case" every jump. If you put it up in 3rd or 4th and ride right at the beginning of the powerband or before it, you'd be a lot smoother...
This is what I like to see a bloke having a time of his life doesn’t matter about trying to race just having a ball, keep up the good work brother 😊
Might want to start off with a ttr man
Like a ttr90 or ttr125
Nice! Looks like a lot of fun! Gotta love the 2 strokes. Once you get the hang of managing the power it gets easier
Every time you blipped it on the face of a jump I cringed for you! You have to keep your chest over the bars! Nice bike.

i like this dude and all his whooos and hooos
Bike sounds super crisp! I'm considering the same bike, It looks like a ball to ride!
My 2000 is still just as quick and is always trying to kill me. Welcome to yz250 life.
2001 to 😎💪

Pinching the bike with my legs always helps me a ton

You had me scared for you a few times brother. That’s definitely not a 125 😀
sick bike, tap the rear brake if u ever find urself j hopping!, looks like a dope track
gotta shift my man!!
Definitely that’s not the bike for you dude💀, try to improve your technique just so you don’t get hurt.
Plenty of people learn on 250's, assuming the rider weight class matches, the rest comes down to proper learning strategies.
You got to get over the FEAR dont baby it run about 25-28 lbs in those knobbys adjust shock dampness lessen the vibrations
Dude , you are really going to hurt yourself judging by this video
maybe a 125?
Getting this same bike
Great choice . Yamaha makes the most reliable dirt bikes on the planet .

Shift bro! Nice bike
You gonna ride that thing or just putt around?😂
And please, no 1st gear wheelies on that bike lol

Way too tall of a gear in coners and to low of a gear on straights ! Get it up a gear on straights and jumps it will be way smoother
It’s not a four stroke lol. Ride it like a two stroke
bro work on being smooth on the bike ur too choppy on the throttle
Fast in first gear :))))) try shifting
2nd gear is too low
I always think of Wile E Coyote strapped to a rocket when someone jumps on a 2 stroke for the first time..
Ridden like a true 4 stroke rider
What a shame all the gear and no fucking idea
Two stroke = ultimate fun!
Put the bike down you bloke
Ive owned many yz 250s. You would of had a better riding experience if you would of shortshifted it for that track.
Keep at it, you'll get the hang of it 👍 I ride one too, best to have it pointed in a safe direction when you twist the throttle all the way ! 😂
Boa tarde bom fim de semana, yz250 2, é 10.
Why do I feel like I can ride WAAAYY better than this guy?
I hope so😂🤦🏼♂️

Lug the bike more and you will find it easier and less arm pump. You could do 3rd round the whole track. Fair play though shag
