@ImperialKnowlegde I have truly enjoyed this Big History of Nirn lecture series! I hope you can ultimately finish it. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Regarding the bird men: it seems most likely to me that either these were Argonians who had feathers (which is something some of them do: they are quite the biologically malleable race, similar to the Khajiit, with the Hist seeming to have some degree of influence on how different groups of them develop), or that this part of Topal the Pilot's voyage was actually doctored and intended to give legitimacy to an Altmer claim on Cyrodiil, possibly while insulting the Ayleids as well-- though I do not fully discount your theory that the Ayleids captured them, possibly gained a cultural affinity with them and their local aesthetic (maybe due to the bird imagery that is associated with Auri-El), and then simply weren't able to "keep them in captivity" with any success.
"They would use hallucinogenic drugs while torturing they're subjects" as a fan of hallucinogens (namely shrooms and lsd) that sounds like the worst trip ever
If you say that the nedes are from atmora, then what about the ones that became imperials? It was my assumption that the nedes were already on tamriel evolving into the imperials in cyrodiil and kothringi in black marsh
Ismael Judá Moraes Reis dias Kind of. Atmora was less cold. And Morrowind was less ashy. The rest of it was the same though. Apparently Cyrodiil was a wet, humid rainforest. There are two interpretations of this: That the developers retconned this out and this is the interpretation that I personally prefer. And the other crackhead, tin foil theory that Talos used CHIM to recreate Cyrodiil in such a way that his army would have an easier time marching through it. There evidence for this comes from the books and Heimskyr’s no doubt Skooma addled rants about Talos. “I breathe now,in Royalty, and reshape this land which is mine,I do this Red Legions for i love you” In the 36 Sermons of Vivec,he talks about how CHIM is the secret syllable of royalty and that’s where the theory comes from.
@@randomguy4167 You forgot the crazy part about him changing it retroactively too...That Cyrodiil also changes in the past long before Talos ever lived(Which is why it ain't a jungle in ESO lorewise.) So that means even if it was once something else than it is now nobody on Tamriel would ever know about it in the first place(or at least shouldn't logically). Thing is Elder Scrolls lore is full of weird shit so it's most likely canon that it was a jungle in pretty much an alternate timeline...But in real life it's just Bethesda not wanting/incapable to make a jungle setting so they just retcon it in Oblivion without any explanation. The whole jungle thing comes from a book about the Empire's territory in Morrowind(the game). It says that Cyrodiil is a jungle in modern times...Only 7 years before the events of Oblivion.
Hi! Love your videos! (English isn't my native language) If you find this coment interesting, can you please explain why the hole of tamriel was ruled by one human emperor, and why it is important that it remains that way? (Not necessarily in a whole video about it... if you just answered this coment i would be most gratefull 🙂) You mention that high chancellor Ocato found it important in the video about not every high elf being Thalmor, but i never understood why. Thank you

I am very glad that you remembered the humans who were still around on Tamriel and made sure to mention it in this video. That is good.
It's been two years from this and I don't think there's a fifth lecture uploaded. Was the course cancelled?
Ah yes, laying in bed at 2:30am about to sleep when my phone decides to go off telling me you uploaded. I am fine with this

Since you took that class you have the right to be the only youtuber who can claim to be qualified enough to make these lectures
Found this to be a pretty interesting listen while playing through particularly boring or tedious ESO dungeons
Eso moment (ass game)
Your Intro is phenomenal! Almost makes me want to cry of nostalgia 😅
Nobody:
Imperial Knowledge: "Ello, YouTuuube"
Everyone: T_T yay! Praise the eight
That one guy: *breathes* The Nine!
Eight and One. The truest way.
*nine
I hope a few of those bird-people survived and show up in Elder Scrolls VI. It would be awesome if you could play as them, even if it's a pipe dream.
The Nedes also predate the Nords and Yakudans on Tamriel. The Kothingi are believed to have descended from the Nedes.
great lecture 😃 hope you had a nice christmas!
Most certainly did. Hope you had a great Christmas too
Oh no, where is my part 5? ;__;

Where is the next lecture?

38 min video about TES Lore.
Me: Fucking yes!
I love your lectures
i’ll download it and watch it later
Maybe I should put up mp3 downloads of these, because watching them in one go can be a problem
Was the climate of Tamriel different during the First Era?
