This really needs to be said: thank you for pausing the video when you talk. It's annoying when reactors talk over the music because we can't hear what they're saying, but also they miss like half of the song while they're talking abut some 2 sec thing that happened...

Heyyy small fact about Wendy, the girl on the right, is that she has vocal nodules and I was super amazed when you were mentioning how she uses her head voice to make that sound instead of her chest voice. His vocal trainer from way back when she was still a trainee said that she had trained wendy to use her head voice for a variety of notes due to her vocal nodules. Super cool that you were able to pick that up
She used to have vocal nodules. She had it when they debuted. Not anymore

The first girl is actually their best vocalist. Her name is Wendy. :) She also participated on Masked Singer. She sang Late Regret.
I think by the end of the video he must get that Wendy is the best singer out of the three and if he were to rewatch would agree Wendy's opening was a stylistic choice and not because she couldnt sing less breathier.

Red Velvet has one of the best vocal lines in this generation of kpop, actually all members of Red Velvet can sing very well !! Wendy (the first girl that started)is considered one of the best main female vocalist of this generation as well. It's just really sad that people rarely recognise their talent in singing and they are often only seen as the girl group that got famous because of their company. Red Velvet is incredibly talented in singing and dancing AND WE CAN'T FORGET ABOUT THEIR CONCEPTS. They strive to break the stereotype of "female groups only does one concepts" and has succeeded multiple times. I hope you check out more stuff from them !!

Tbh, Wendy (the girl with blonde hair) is their main vocalist aka their best vocalist in RV and actually one of the best female vocalists in their new generation among kpop groups. A lot of people in kpop fandom community and also music critics acknowledged her outstanding vocal talent. I couldn't deny that Red Velvet's vocals line (Wendy, Seulgi, Joy) is one of the best among kpop ggs in this new generation along with Mamamoo etc.

Honestly. The girl in the midle is a MAIN DANCER of the grub but her vocal is really amazing..
Just one of them as MAIN VOCAL.. Her name is Wendy, the girl with blonde hair.
Seulgi was used train for main Vocal until her had problem with vocal folds, she could hardly sing at that time. She had treatment but she thought herself would not be able to sing like before，and She thought she could never get debuted. So she decided to train so hard to be great dancer so at least she could get debut. She trained herself so hard even BoA and other senior idols knew her and her dancer skill. Then she debuted as Main Dancer and luckily after treatment her problem with vocal folds is gone so that made Seulgi is Main Dancer but also can sing like Vocalist.

blackvelvet Seulgi have mentioned it on the show “Idol Drama Operation Team”. A show in which they’ve written a drama according to their real life experiences. Even Moonbyul of mamamoo opened up that she was supposed to be a vocalist.

You know who to react SM VOCALIST are some of the best Vocalist in the Kpop Industry cause they focus training their vocals :Exo Red Velvet Girls Generation F(x) TVQX have all of them a good vocal line like Chen, Taeyeon, Wendy, Seulgi Etc
you know what's funny? when most of their sub vocals and sometimes even rappers have really good crazy techniques and skills. i admit some of their vocals don't really appeal to the general public or as 'delicious' but you really gotta admit they have great training (all hail sm vocal trainers). i'm pressed, why are they all so good.

Yeah all of the groups related to SM they are good Vocalist, and their sub vocalist are even better than any other main vocal of some groups!

nn mw no they’re not. from a technique standpoint or vocal range standpoint. the only one who will maybe be better is Wendy. Call me when anyone in rv can whistle tone and hit those low notes like Hwasa. Or who can go up into their falsetto effortlessly like Wheein. And her high notes? So much power and ease. Solar, she does struggle sometimes but her range is amazing. And even Moonbyul can sing. Let me know when rv’s rap line can sing like that. They can’t. Simple.

The girl in the middle (Seulgi) is multi talented. Not only is she the lead vocalist of Red Velvet but she is also the main dancer of the group, and its rare to find main dancers of girl groups having the same vocal abilities as her.
wendy (the first girl who sung) has one of the widest ranges in kpop!! she has a 4 octave vocal range and the whole of red velvets vocal line is just insanely good and tends to be overlooked, their harmonising abilities and differences in tone makes their voices blend so beautifully

SM entertainment is one of the company that has the best vocals in the industry ( TVXQ's Changmin, SNSD 's Taeyeon, Exo 's Chen, Baekhuyn, D.O, Red Velvet's Wendy, Seulgi, Shinee 's Onew, Jonghuyn, Super junior 's Kyuhuyn, Yesung, Ryeowook, f(x)'Luna ) . That's why I love SM 's artist so much because I think as a singer it's very important that you have some vocal knowledge, it's just show that you are determined to your job as a singer, you care for your voice, you care how it sounds and you protect it.

Joy- she’s just a regular vocalist in the group along with being a rapper
Seulgi- she’s the lead vocalist, although her vocals are amazing!!!! She’s mostly known for her dance skills in the group
Wendy- she’s the main vocalist and she’s know for her power vocals and knowing how to play a lot of instruments
I’m glad to see this reaction/lesson because I saw the vocal teacher of this group saying that Wendy (the first girl who début the song placed on the far right) had nodules for pushing her voice too much and too hard when she was a trainee wanting to debut ASAP.
So her vocal coach told her to use more of her headvoice for now on and now watching your explanation I totally understand the process and the results !

Thank you so much for this video. You rarely see dedicated kpop reaction channels do this video, much less professionals so this was a treat. Wendy, the girl on the right, actually has a history of both doing choir stuff during highschool, and has had treatment for vocal cord nodules around the beginning of her pop career around a year prior to the performance you reviewed. I'm really impressed with how you can point out her choices and how easily they map to her past.

You could say wendy is the best vocalist of kpop 3rd gen especially technical wise. Even red velvet is also one of the best group vocally but maybe mamamoo is better as a group. Well just search for more wendy cover if you want to know more. I always love her voice, she never go overboard with the high notes and sings comfortably :)

Wendy (the blonde one) is actually known for her crystal clear voice but she's also known for her agility and ease in switching between registers and styles. She usually uses her head voice (check out her Halo cover) too but she lessened it once she became a member of RV because their songs are kinda restricting her ability and style. I hope you also do her "Late Regret" from King of Masked Singer too!! (And also her duet with Huh Gak called "Happy Me"). Her voice is so soulful, I swear you'd enjoy every performance of her.
If you're looking for great singers in the k-pop industry check BTOB out as they're known as one of the best vocal groups in South Korea. For example their performance of "To my love" on Immortal songs gives a pretty clear view of their talent

By the way, Red Velvet is my fav K-pop group, and the first girl on the left is my fav member. She sounds like honey to me. And if you notice, these 3 girls (the vocal line of the group) have their own really distinctive voice color which makes the group really interesting to listen to.

If you want to react to Red Velvet again, they released Psycho on december 23 and it's still charting in korea and some international sites, they have performed it live just a few times because, unfortunely, Wendy got injured on a music show =/ but their entire 2019 trilogy was amazing, it's called The Reve Festival (day 1, day 2 and finale)

You should react to Sunyoul singing Tears in Masked singer, he is a guy but erveryone thought he was a woman because of his voice. After he revealed himself everyone was so shook that they at first didnt believe him that he was a guy and so he had to show his pass lol. It was the biggest plot twist of all time on that show
