First tank of fuel on a road trip (and failing with our AMSOIL diesel additive) - capless fuel fill

- 635.2 miles on one tank of diesel. Averaged 25.9 mpg according to the on-board computer. However, when we figured it longhand, we got 27.7mpg!
The AMSOIL product I'm attempting to use this time is ADBP-CN which is the All-In-One product for diesels - cetane boost, lubricity improver, and cold flow improver.
The 2020 Silverado has a 'capless fuel fill.' Apparently, GM has the answer to the question nobody's asking. I don't like the capless. It seems that this design will invite dirt and debris into the fuel system (I'm aware of the TWO trap doors - but they swing inward. Anything on the trap door, falls down into the tank) and makes using additives a pain in the rear.
I have been using this product every-single-tank, but I've been using the big bottle (half gallon) and using a funnel. Dealing with the funnel and measuring and everything, I decided that for our roadtrip, I would just use the little bottle. Pour in, fill-up, and go... in theory.

I believe GM vehicles come with a special funnel to use for additives and fuel from a can.
Yes, they do. I'd venture a guess that all capless vehicles do but... that's a guess. I was trying to not have to deal with a funnel that you then have to either wipe out or store dirty - dirt that would eventually be flushed into the tank at the next fill-up and additive dosing. Im sure you know by now, but they replace it with longer red bottles. I have no issues with them on the capless cap
I don't think AMSOIL has the updated bottle available for any of the diesel products. Just the gasoline products (such as P.i. and UCL).
@@frambach508ou have a point, these bottles work fine on my 2000 powerstroke or my 2001 TDI, but I have to use a funnel to put it in my wife’s 2017 EcoDiesel. And I use the 16 ounce bottles.

Operator error read the contents on the directions on the outside of the jug. the one you just used was designed to be used with capped gas filler necks. second one did you pick up with the longer neck is the one that's supposed to be with capless gas filler necks. If you need the words of too big for you to understand on the back of it then call up Elvis,
Rick, it does not say anywhere on either bottle that they are, or are not, compatible with capless. The second one I picked up is not compatible either. So, please show me where I can find this information "on the outside of the jug". I appreciate your help!
I have tried to use the 16 ounce bottle on my wife’s EcoDiesel and all it did was cause a mess. I have to use a funnel and fill up at the nearest fuel station after putting in the fuel additive.

Amsoil gives you directions on the bottle.
What are you talking about?! The spout on the bottle is not long enough to trip the SECOND flap. There's nothing on the bottle about getting the bottle to work (because it can't work).
AMZOIL IS GARBAGE!!! Bout destroyed my injectors in my duramax, didn't even need additives but thought I'd try them.... went thru 2 tsnk fulls afterwards to make sure I got that crap out, than I switched fuel filters added Hot shots diesel extreme, drove the pickup 16 miles to go out to dinner, and let the pickup sit over night next morning I heard amd saw tje difference my duramax purred smooth, more throttle response, likes it so much had to put in my 2nd gen cummins STUFF IS AMAZING!!!!! bean running it now over 6 years!
Gino, I don't know what could've been the problem with your Duramax but, I've personally run AMSOIL in every tank in every diesel I've had for the last 10 years or so. I've never had an injector or pump problem. I've run a couple over 200,000 miles.
