I don't know if this counts, but I've been with my boyfriend for over 5 years. All of the points you said was true. Most big fights were caused by small problems, and either caused more by misunderstanding or, ego. We're also still young, still waiting for the right time to get married. Because like any Asian, he still lives with his parent. Your husband is already matured, unlike my bf, still on the process. But it's been a vast progress though. I've seen him changed for the better. Hopefully, we could be a happy couple like you two in the future :P

I have a question. Many couples have told me that the longer they've been together, the feelings for each other is not so lovey dovey as you first fall in love but more of loving each other because you've chose to be together for the rest of your life. Is that true? I don't know if I make sense here but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
Hi. I know it's been 3 years but I still wantes to reply. It depends on the couple. If both people are humble and have an attitude of gratitude you will always value imensely the fact that this person is there by your side no matter what, if the couple is a good match together and are each other's best friends and there is chemetry between them then the lovey dovey phase will evolve but it will never end. Of course there are ups and downs in every relationship and days where we are not in a very good mood and seasons when life is more challenging but in general it will not end if the couple makes an effort to not be just partners in life but to date each other and value each other.

I got into my first big fight with my boyfriend (of 6 months, he's Korean) yesterday and it was because he wasn't honest to me about something he was worried about, and I got upset with him for not talking about it to me. We've apologised to each other but I still feel a bit sad. This video has helped me feel much better so thank you! :)

Oh dear, that's a hard one.. It's such a shame when a couple who is in love with each other separates because of in-law situations. My only advice for you is to think about your love for him, and determine yourself not to give up or let yourself lose him over this. The trouble with his mum will get better some day, with effort, but divorce is permanent.. So keep pressing through it!! I'm here cheering you on

thanks jen:) I've had 2 5yr relationships & I've learnt that you cannot "know" a person until u've been with them for a few yrs. Over the years their walls+layers will unravel to you & you'll see all their sides & not just the side they want you to see. I think its not so much growing as a couple as it is getting to know them and learning to adapt. It took me 3 yrs each for things to settle into a comfy routine so pls girls you can't judge what a marriage will be like in only a couple of years.

how much effort, not only me but my boyfriend have put into what we have. We didnt give up on our first heartbreak by the other. And we didnt break it up after one huge fight. Patience, commitment and understanding is a huge thing to keep things working. Tears are never non-existent in a relationship, its whether you decide to learn from it or be bitter about it is what makes a huge difference ^^

Yes...marriage is SO hard! My husband and I are junior high school sweethearts and have been married for nearly 6 years and it is still hard. Honestly, without modeling Christ's love to each other and without having God as the center of your marriage.. and trust me I have tried doing it "my way".. it is just THAT much harder to get through the rough patches. This was a great video and truly was a loving reminder for me, yet again, the importance of being more like Christ :)
