I haven’t had a T break since I started smoking, but I only started 2 years ago, I probably should take one because It’ll be very hard to me if I don’t do it now :/
This is very true. I try to take breaks throughout the year and it really does help. The trick for me is to not go back to daily using after the t break, otherwise your tolerance shoots straight back up. I'm now only using on weekends, and my tolerance is always rock bottom but I'll still take breaks as it helps my relationship with the plant. Plus, knowing that you go to the moon every time you use is pretty awesome!

I take 2-6 month tolerance breaks from edibles to remain as high as the first time, my edible binges will usually last 2-4 weeks where I’m stoned daily

For me it's more about getting used to the feeling of being high. Of course, my tolerance also increases, but up to a certain point. After that point, I'm high as usual, but it just doesn't feel the same. Like moving into a different house versus already living there for a time. Just doesn't have the same vibe. I recently took a month t break 😧😧 for me personally it really gave me a renewed appreciation for bud and when I came back to it my high was so euphoric and clean so I’m really glad I took the break
My tolerance break is just going from smoking all day to smoking only at night. I’ve done actual tolerance breaks in the past and it doesn’t really change much. I might get more high for a couple days but no longer than that. I smoke more for anxiety/depression anyways, the mood lift is enough for me versus an intense high.
Same I go just edibles sometimes after smoking for awhile for a while day or a few days then go back to smoke. I also change my strains all the time because my plug always has new stuff. Like I took edibles yesterday in low 5mg doses then I switched to smoke today different strains.
I have been smoking over 20years and it depends on the bud u get if u get stoned bcoz i get stoned on some and not on other's 👑 make sure it's good stuff and you know where from trust!
my experience with it is that if you smoke a blunt or a doobie and you're not satisfied with your high, you take a 3 day break, if after that3 day break you still don't get high then you extend it to a week - at that point it's bound to lower your tolerance a little bit but if you're still not satisfied then wait another week.
CEWPINS said it best when he said that the solution isn’t a tolerance break, it’s a tolerance fix. I find that when I smoke one night, then push past that next day where I really want to, if I wait only like 3-4 days I can get just as high again. For me, there IS a “too high” where it stops being fun and starts being crazy, so I acknowledge I have it better than some people who need a lot to feel good!
i think tolerance breaks are a must for me i used to smoke weed every single day without fail where it got to the point when i had to smoke at least a ten bag to even start feeling it so i decided to cut down to smoking weed 2-3 days a weeks then have a 4-5 day break wich actually works now every time i smoke on the weekend i get mash up and i have saved a lot of money. Great video Drew.
After three smokes, weed is awesome, it’s just chill, and doesn’t get me stoned to the point where I’m having intense thoughts about the nature of existence... but after like two to five days, depending on how many days in a row I’ve smoked, it goes back to being a trippy amazing experience. It also lasts for like upwards of five hours when my tolerance is low/ gone
personally my tolerance rises quite slowly, despite me smoking daily, but i mostly limit my use to night time. now i cant even remember when i had my last tolerance break lol. guess that means it's about time for another one. insomnia gang shit!! great vid btw, always hyped to see a new upload from drew!!
I self medicate as well, so I don't take tolerance breaks unless they're enforced, i.e I run out and am waiting for payday, which is rare but can happen but never more than a week at most. But for me it's down to the bud, it's never regular, but I'm going to get a private consultation thanks to you, wouldn't have known about it otherwise!! Cheers Drew!! 💯🤙
Australian here, I used to just smoke bush and my tolerance went to shit after about 3 months. I moved to high quality about 3 months ago and certain strains work really well and get me to that sweet spot, others don’t work well at all.
Higher thc=more negative side effects, if you consume high thc for months upon months and try take a break you'll end up with insomnia to night sweats to depression
Personally, I feel like my tolerance is reset every time I go to sleep and there is always that point in the day when I just know that i won't get any higher until tmrw
Tolerance is a funny word to use to be honest, like you say it affects different people in different ways, personally I think it's all down to how much you smoke daily, for example someone who blasts off a 3.5 in a day would obviously have a much higher tolerance, compared to someone who just has a couple of joints a day. I think the best way to smoke is in moderation and if you start to feel like you aren't getting high anymore, maybe wait a little longer than you usually would to have a joint. That been said, wrap it, strap it, tap it, smoke it 😊
After bunning constantly for like a week I hit a plateau where I can tell my tolerance has come up and I’m not as giggly, more chilled, buzz lasts for an hour instead of 3, but I can have a one day break and I’m right back to no tolerance at all.
I find mixing up strains works instead of a break. I usually use pure sativas but switch to heavy indicas to get high when my tolerance builds to the strain I’m using. I’ve smoked virtually every day for the past 30 years ✌🏻
I'm the same, productive smoker for 10 years! I used to switch from haze to cheese but nowadays cheese isnt really about and its all dawg, which does the job. the haze on the other hand has gone right downhill, it seems we dont import haze from the Netherlands like we used to :(

1. if you sit on your arse all day smoking you wont enjoy it as thats all your doing and obv tolerance 2. if u are active, work, gym, eat healthy and DRINK AT LEAST 2.5 L OF WATER then on the night bun a spliff is the way forward..
I do tolerance breaks...but I don't smoke a lot of weight so it's really easy for me to reach that ' doing nothing' feeling. I also do breaks because I enjoy dreams and I never dream when i'm smoking.
Absolutely love the videos! Personally when I smoke I get just as high as the first time, but that’s only when I switch up, from say a blunt to a joint or my bong to my bowl, you just gotta change the way you smoke not the amount 👍🏿 🧠.
I love taking tolerance breaks gets me nice a stoned when I get back to smoking, normally if I smoke for 2 weeks straight I’ll build up a strong tolerance but for me it does also depend what I’m smoking. Like you said bro everyone is different so I can only speak for myself
Im a nighttime smoker it helps relieve my anxiety attacks and depressive state so if I didnt smoke on a daily basis and took a break I would be so much worse but each to there own keep up the gd work bro
i smoke weekends only and give myslef enough time to lower my tolerance throughout the week and it gets me so blazed when i only smoke on weekends, smoked daily for like 2 month after about 4 weeks i just felt nothing
I haven’t been able to smoke for over a week and 3 days due to tooth issues and being other medications and I can’t wait to heal from this process cause I know I could roll up a .5 zoot and it’s gonna hit me like a brick
I find that the tolerance to bud has alot to do with the terpene profile, so whenever my diminishing returns get too low for my liking I'll just change to the next strain
I feel like people get used to the first few highs they get and become addicted to that super high feeling but in reality it’s weed and you can only get so high so be happy with the high it provides you and you will be fine
I mean it genuinely is stronger when you take a break or are smoking less. If people are after that high rather than the mild relaxing feeling that comes with constant use, I can't really blame them.
Can you make a video explaining 'withdrawal' or your endocanabanoid levels returning to normal and having to produce its own levels instead of them being fed to you. The psychological addiction myth and how everything can be psychologically addictive like for example, drinking water and how you wouldn't call that an addiction.
For me personally, I smoke whenever I haven’t got work or haven’t got university, it’s summer break so rn my tolerence is through the roof smoking all day, just sorta feels normal to be high so getting high for me currently isn’t a thing cos I’m smoking all day , my body doesn’t see it as getting high as more of a okay this is how u feel normally, this is when u absolutely need a T break, to stop relaying on it, because now I’m in this weird stage where im irritated and craving bud all day cos my bodies like ‘yo why haven’t we lit up yet’ a hard routine to get out of and it is insanely hard but it’s so important to do so
Been smoking for 19 years more or less straight, had a 1month break for about 17 years ago and sure have had many days off during those 19 years. But what works for me is smoking after work, changing strain/hash once in a while to keep my brain stimulated. Sure im hooked, but gone from smoking up to 5g a day to about 1g a day, this makes a huge difference in effect/tolerance, the more you smoke the higher tolerance/less effect, this is easy mathematics
I find it interesting how common tolerance breaks are in cannabis. In my drinking years not once did I ever here someone I’m taking a break because my tolerance is too high.
It’s not as addictive as alcohol, not even close, so you can do it easily. And you don’t get intense withdrawals, like you would do from alcohol which can even be life threatening. People who use it heavily might have trouble sleeping or a little bit of anxiety or low mood for a couple days but that’s about it really
Personally I’ve been smoking for about 16 years daily No I don’t think you ever need a tolerance break yes people do it and I won’t say it doesn’t help but if you always changing up stains and from flower to extracts you will notice that you know what part of the high/ medication you looking for like for yourself it helps with your medical conditions but you know that what you looking for for my self it’s how it helps with my eating disorder and that where I look for it to help but your right you will cap off at a certain point but you just have to realize that there is still a buzz there if you say you not high your just kidding yourself and then you will never Truly let you body and mind Succumb to the high
Recently was smoking heavy for a week str8 woke up next day didnt smoke until I went to bed and that made a big difference just taking not even 24hrs off just sobering myself up for a day or so and then I'll start feeling the weed again
Yup, I'm that person, I smoke multiple times nearly every single day, maybe 2-7 days a month I'll be dry purely cuz I ran out and am either to broke or to lazy to go get more, but I literally never take tolerance breaks, they've never made sense to me cuz I can smoke as much as I want and I don't feel like it ever makes it harder for me to get stoned, I will admit that those 2-7 day breaks usually do lower my tolerance slightly cuz the first day I come back I usually feel a bit more stoned initially but it's really not that big of a difference, I don't even notice it half the time, so for me the answer is no, I don't need tolerance breaks, I do tend to enjoy my days off pot tho, nice to know I've got my dynamic in check and can see that I don't just immediately start fiending for it, gotta make sure you maintain balance in your relationship with pot, if I notice myself thinking about pot when I don't have it I typically take a longer break until days start going by where I don't crave a bowl
(Daily medicinal user for depression, anxiety, gastritis and arthritis). Despite what Drew says here everyone needs tolerance breaks. It's not just about getting more from your weed for less, weed is also toxic, it's also about having a necessary detox. If you take a week off you will be back to where you were after 2-3 days. The boffins say you need 3-4 weeks off to clear your system of THC. Three weeks off every 12 months is perfect for moi and you can make the break much more tolerable by using a CBD only product during this period. The people that say you don't need a tolerance break just say it because taking a break can be tough....and they are weak. You do not need to take tolerance breaks if you consume CBD only products. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Boys I’m coming up on my 4 weeks and 6 day tolerance break (6 days cos I’m waiting for the weekend) after toking every day for a phew months let’s goooooo so exited 😁
my manager needs to take a tolerance break. in his maximum tolerance days he went through a phase where he would smoke, and smoke and smoke and just not get high. then he started using mandy, he stopped and went back to bud (ages 16-17, been smoking green since, hes 26 now). and now what to most people would be a zoot to get you to the moon to him is like a cigarette. he goes through an ounce in like 3 weeks.
1989 I had my first try of cannabis .I'm now 49 . Since 1999 I've only really had a 3,month lay off . Been toking pure for 13 years , vaping dabbing and edibles only for the last 2 years
I’ve been smoking daily for the past couple of years, I get stoned everyday, def not the level of when I first started but sometimes I be getting surprised with how high I can still get, especially when I take dabs or cart rips. I have a Med card in the United States
Safe drew , nice vid , hope the injury heals , and as for the question, I feel it all depends on your money and even time to smoke , for example if I’m working I have the money but not the time , if I have a week off with money then a few days for me is my cap as well , but if I’m broke with time off , then like a ten pound draw will be like gold lmao
I usually only smoke one regular size joint a day. If I’m around friends or family members that smoke, I’ll really have a nice sesh. And I really get Lit. So I really don’t need a break.
It depends on what im smoking, i know i need a break when only the extra quality stuff can get me stoned. about 2 weeks to a month to completely reset tolerance
Been smoking years and 1 joint can last me a week. Since a bad experience with edibles which included a panick attack, my tolerance went super low. 2 bun and I'm absolutely licked. Really strange.
just change how your smoking it for a couple of days, i personally love hemp wraps but when i start to feel like its just not doing it i switch to smoking a bowl or a cone and i get blasted again....also changing where you smoke can make quite a big difference if you are smoking the same place everyday....give it a try!
Been smoking for 10+ years and last year I decided to take a tolerance break for 4 months for a job I didn’t even apply to and after those 4 months when I smoked I didn’t feel no different 🤣🤣

Been smoking a 3.5 a day for the past 2 years I’ve had 1, 1 month tolerance break in that time, when it gets to the point my tolerance on spliffs and actual bud stops giving me that high, I will go a week or 2 on edibles alone at night only. One I have done that and go back to smoking it’s not that like first ever high but still gets back down to the point I can feel the high off my bud again .
I just smoked a blunt to myself, took about 10 minutes and I feel nice. If I had 2 or 3 weeks off then smoked this blunt, I wouldn't be able to walk. I know this because I've done it many times 🤤
I took a break for 10 days this month and took 5+ blinks off a pen, I forgot who I was, who my gf was, it was the highest I've ever been. Take a t break guys its worth it
When you quit or take a break you realize how much smarter of a person u are able to be and it's just a lot better, anyone that smokes every day, trust me it's better staying sober once u actually take the break for a while, I dont feel the need to smoke anymore
I am planning on taking a t break once this zip runs out. I've dosed every day for 3 years, and I definitely need one. Absolutely shatting myself but I've decided to go for 90 days sober so that I can see if my perspective has changed. Not sure if cannabis is really something I need every day any more.
For me every day the first spliff I smoke or the first bowl or whatever will almost always get me 10/10 blasted. Smoking the same size bowl later that day will probably get me to like a 3/10. If I stop smoking for 3 or 4 days my tolerance fully resets but it comes back so quickly and gets to the point where only the first spliff will hit me heavy that its not worth a tbreak and having random suicidal episodes :)
Im a high functioning stoner but even minor change can make big changes for tolerance, from cutting the amount of consumption as well frequency. Even recently I have been challenging myself to only take CBD in the morning and reduce amount of wake and bakes in a week that I only feel are necessary but also reduce my daily consumption. Some days I could smoke 6-8 joints throughout a whole day, now im only doing a evenings joint or midnight toke from a bubbler
If I take a tolerance break for 3 days or 3 months, the next joint I smoke will destroy me. After that my tolerance is back to how it always was, so it's not really worth the break.
I smoke every day in the eve in before bed and my mates say that my tolerance has got noticeably higher when I smoke with them, BUT if I rip a bong I will still green out.
Most of the people I know have no concept of tolerance and they seem to get the same effect every time. For me, after about a week of use my tolerance is so bad I can't get high no matter how much I smoke.
If I have a break for 2-3 days the first joint I have gets me stoned asf. Then every day for about 4 days the high intensity will decrease and I’ll hit a cap. After that my tolerance stays pretty much the same so i only take a break if I wanna get completely blazed for few days.
It makes sense to do it every now and then, when you are not medically dependend on it. I like pizza and if I eat pizza every day it becomes inferior and not that special. If I would stop eating pizza and then finally have one after 4 weeks, I would get back the former appreciation of the pizza and enjoy it much more than when I had it over and over again every day.

Can you do a video about putting your joint in the microwave before you smoke it. Supposedly it tastes better 🤔
DAFUQ???
lol wtf?
I'l only take a tolerance break when I need to piss for the DVLA
Personally, I feel like my tolerance is reset every time I go to sleep and there is always that point in the day when I just know that i won't get any higher until tmrw
first joint of the day always takes my head off more
Tolerance is a funny word to use to be honest, like you say it affects different people in different ways, personally I think it's all down to how much you smoke daily, for example someone who blasts off a 3.5 in a day would obviously have a much higher tolerance, compared to someone who just has a couple of joints a day. I think the best way to smoke is in moderation and if you start to feel like you aren't getting high anymore, maybe wait a little longer than you usually would to have a joint. That been said, wrap it, strap it, tap it, smoke it 😊
After bunning constantly for like a week I hit a plateau where I can tell my tolerance has come up and I’m not as giggly, more chilled, buzz lasts for an hour instead of 3,
but I can have a one day break and I’m right back to no tolerance at all.
it takes
months even years of constant bunning to increase your tolerance long term, it’s not something you want anyway
I find mixing up strains works instead of a break. I usually use pure sativas but switch to heavy indicas to get high when my tolerance builds to the strain I’m using. I’ve smoked virtually every day for the past 30 years ✌🏻
I'm the same, productive smoker for 10 years! I used to switch from haze to cheese but nowadays cheese isnt really about and its all dawg, which does the job. the haze on the other hand has gone right downhill, it seems we dont import haze from the Netherlands like we used to :(
I thought about it but then out of nowhere my tolerance will drop for no reason and I’ll just get high af one day
That happens to me too like one week my tolerance is high and I need 2 blunts but the week after that I’ll take like 2 hits of a pipe and I’m high af
@@highaskitess fr
Maybe u just had shit weed 1d and fire the other lol
@@NRGTOGA idk it’s all dispensary on the Canadian side it’s usually top shelf if not really high mids, they only sell good shit and it’s like $9 a gram
There’s never a day when I don’t feel it, and after the tolerance break I’m back in like a week
I had a 2 day tolerance break the other day, smoked on both days
😂😂
@@shyggoutjhhtfi4957 it still worked 🤷♂️
1. if you sit on your arse all day smoking you wont enjoy it as thats all your doing and obv tolerance
2. if u are active, work, gym, eat healthy and DRINK AT LEAST 2.5 L OF WATER then on the night bun a spliff is the way forward..
I find switching the strains up from time to time helps
I smoke for neurological dystrophy. So when i partake, i don't get high. It just eliminates my pain. Which i am good with.
Had my tolerance break a month ago whilst having a tooth extraction, I can now say I don’t smoke half as much as I used to lmao!
how much did it last ?
@@narvini727 what you mean? I’m still only smoking 1-2 joints a night
For me personally, I smoke whenever I haven’t got work or haven’t got university, it’s summer break so rn my tolerence is through the roof smoking all day, just sorta feels normal to be high so getting high for me currently isn’t a thing cos I’m smoking all day , my body doesn’t see it as getting high as more of a okay this is how u feel normally, this is when u absolutely need a T break, to stop relaying on it, because now I’m in this weird stage where im irritated and craving bud all day cos my bodies like ‘yo why haven’t we lit up yet’ a hard routine to get out of and it is insanely hard but it’s so important to do so
my tolerance just endlessly climbs never a cap i just need more to do so
Been smoking for 19 years more or less straight, had a 1month break for about 17 years ago and sure have had many days off during those 19 years.
I tend to switch strains to avoid to much tolerance build up have smoked everyday for 28 years though big up guys
Personally I’ve been smoking for about 16 years daily
No I don’t think you ever need a tolerance break yes people do it and I won’t say it doesn’t help but if you always changing up stains and from flower to extracts you will notice that you know what part of the high/ medication you looking for like for yourself it helps with your medical conditions but you know that what you looking for for my self it’s how it helps with my eating disorder and that where I look for it to help but your right you will cap off at a certain point but you just have to realize that there is still a buzz there if you say you not high your just kidding yourself and then you will never Truly let you body and mind Succumb to the high
Take fish oil, exercise, water, change up ways and/or strains helps.
I'm not a daily smoker anymore but I used to just make edibles when my tolerance got high
Hey axel we share names!
Idk bout you but Litterally edibles do NOT work on me anymore, idk why
@@Jpgaps same for me, it sucks
@@user-fl5vx1yq3z strange im too scared to too touch edibles 🤣
They don’t really work
my manager needs to take a tolerance break. in his maximum tolerance days he went through a phase where he would smoke, and smoke and smoke and just not get high. then he started using mandy, he stopped and went back to bud (ages 16-17, been smoking green since, hes 26 now). and now what to most people would be a zoot to get you to the moon to him is like a cigarette. he goes through an ounce in like 3 weeks.
Fuck the tolerance break. Glad to see you back mate. Look after yourself my man!
1989 I had my first try of cannabis .I'm now 49 . Since 1999 I've only really had a 3,month lay off .
Been toking pure for 13 years , vaping dabbing and edibles only for the last 2 years
I usually smoke every day at least one or two bowls out my bong and half a joint gets me so I’m happy my tolerance stays the same now Matter what I do
I’ve been smoking daily for the past couple of years, I get stoned everyday, def not the level of when I first started but sometimes I be getting surprised with how high I can still get, especially when I take dabs or cart rips. I have a Med card in the United States
Safe drew , nice vid , hope the injury heals , and as for the question, I feel it all depends on your money and even time to smoke , for example if I’m working I have the money but not the time , if I have a week off with money then a few days for me is my cap as well , but if I’m broke with time off , then like a ten pound draw will be like gold lmao
i haven't smoked for almost 5months, volunteerly but i love it so i enjoy the content very much :) it's all about that self control ;)
Haven't smoked in months cuz of exams, this is gonna be fun when they're over
Been smoking years and 1 joint can last me a week.
The best thing about a tolerance break is the intense vivid dreams
Been smoking for 10+ years and last year I decided to take a tolerance break for 4 months for a job I didn’t even apply to and after those 4 months when I smoked I didn’t feel no different 🤣🤣
Astagfirrulah brother.
@@shortschannel5073 I don’t get it tho, how u saying “good stuff skippidy bap” on his channel and saying astagfirullah to me? Moving a bit like a hypocrite no?😂🤣
Been smoking a 3.5 a day for the past 2 years I’ve had 1, 1 month tolerance break in that time, when it gets to the point my tolerance on spliffs and actual bud stops giving me that high, I will go a week or 2 on edibles alone at night only.
Drew I need longer vids man. 6 minutes of Drewtime is just not enough
No matter how long i break for, nothing will ever compare to my first bong
Nah I'm poor so i can only smoke once in a while. So i'm always a lightweight
That's making lemons out of lemonade
Love your content please never stop the weed community loves you !!!!
Joints don't do much tbh but a bong or dabs always constant in my opinion 💨
Im a high functioning stoner but even minor change can make big changes for tolerance, from cutting the amount of consumption as well frequency. Even recently I have been challenging myself to only take CBD in the morning and reduce amount of wake and bakes in a week that I only feel are necessary but also reduce my daily consumption. Some days I could smoke 6-8 joints throughout a whole day, now im only doing a evenings joint or midnight toke from a bubbler
I only take big bong rips. I took an 8 day brake and when I smoked I was the highest I’ve EVER been highly recommend
If I take a tolerance break for 3 days or 3 months, the next joint I smoke will destroy me. After that my tolerance is back to how it always was, so it's not really worth the break.
took a 4 day tolerance break and that first joint back had me floating. taking a break now
I need a tolerance break so bad but so hard to do during lockdown
If you smoke every time the same strain, the tolerance level getting higher - not you 🤣 change every day the strain and you don't have this problem ✌😉
MAAAAA MAN
No... I don't smoke all day and mix up my strains. My main method of medicating is tincture so I don't even need as much as im not loosing anything.
I smoke every day in the eve in before bed and my mates say that my tolerance has got noticeably higher when I smoke with them, BUT if I rip a bong I will still green out.
t breaks are always good whatever your tolerance or smoking frequency is
Most of the people I know have no concept of tolerance and they seem to get the same effect every time.
I never realised how much they work until I did a 2 week one it’s so worth it
It makes sense to do it every now and then, when you are not medically dependend on it. I like pizza and if I eat pizza every day it becomes inferior and not that special. If I would stop eating pizza and then finally have one after 4 weeks, I would get back the former appreciation of the pizza and enjoy it much more than when I had it over and over again every day.
