Hi Don, hopefully you guys had a very very nice christmas and also I'm wishing that you are going to answer my question, I think this will be my 3rd time asking you. Do you still being a travel agent or you already quite?
Hi Marta, he is still a travel agent. And I have joined him to help him out. You can contact us at dterris@travelonly.com Looking forward to hearing from you :)
I was freaked out when I saw all those Iguanas or lizards anyway ...ain't no way I'd sit there with them crawling around...ain't no way...loved the vid though.
Collieb7 Think of them as mini dinosaurs! They are very "chill" and are not at all dangerous. They love to be fed (mostly fresh fruit, but they will also eat french fries!) and they also love to sunbathe! I often encountered them in Cancun at the hotel I stayed at (LeBlanc Spa Resort)
*smiles at Collieb7* My thoughts exactly. They would actually run away from you once you get closer to them. And I am sure that lady had no idea one was that close to her feet. I was stunned when Uncle Donny showed me. He said it had gone so close to get, because of food. If I was her and noticed it at my foot, I would have jumped off of the table, table flying and all, lol.
Don - I'm on the Sky Princess at the end of January going also to St. Thomas & St. Martin. Question: In St. Thomas did you do a tour to Coral World? or this there another tour of the island you would suggest??
Ch Gallant If you love nature and can get over on the ferry to St John, I would recommend doing that. I was last in St Thomas over 20 yrs ago and there was a tour to Mountaintop (highest point on island and yes, there's a gift shop up there!) It was weather sensitive so don't bother if skies are cloudy or it's rainy. Not much else to see on St Thomas because it's very residential. Trunk Bay Beach was good (when I went) for snorkeling too. I stayed on St Thomas so I wasn't in a rush to have to get back to a ship, but if your stopover is really long, I would see about a 1/2 day boat outing to the British Virgin Islands.
Ch Gallant - before the hurricane hit there was a beautiful excursion to St. Peter Great House at the top of the mountain - looking down on Magens Bay Beach (which is still a popular beach excursion)! When I was in St. Thomas in Jan. 2018 they were working on repairing St. Peter Great House - I did the open air safari bus to the Mountaintop - beautiful view of the island & water below!
You need a red filter for your camera under water. Then your video will actually show what you are seeing. My sister uses one on her gopro and is a diving instructor in Hawaii. Her videos show all the colors.
Oh? I picked that shirt, because it says: I dont sweat, I sparkle!! What a better way to cover up if sweating while in a hot place, but to say it in a sweet and polite way? :)
belindacat Yes, about midway through the video (6:37) Don's "eye spy" caught a couple who snuck into a restricted area to have their own up close and personal visit with the animals.
@@angelina9286 sorry to hear of your scare. I just thought if you could swim you would be more confident in the water. I grew up with a pool and take for granted that everyone can swim. I was thinking how terrifying it would be to be on/ in the water and not be able to swim. There is such a beautiful world underwater, I wanted you to be able to enjoy it . Glad you were able to enjoy some of the water excursions. Hopefully there will be more in your future!!!!
Never went horseback riding in the water… after this I definitely will never try… excuse me …. I need to shower…. No really, I NEED to shower.. BTW, Angelina is a lovely young lady…
I think the amount you pay to “swim” with dolphins is rediculous. We went to discovery cove and spent $700 for 2 for the day and $200 was for 35 minutes with a dolphin. In that 35 minutes we listened to the handler, mostly, got to briefly touch the dolphin, gave it a kiss on the nose and swam out and back 50ft. Done. Our highlight was actually swimming’s most the day with the sting rays. And the bird aviary. We most likely won’t do the dolphin encounter again.. though we love the dolphin, we didn’t enjoy it as there were 10 other people in our group. So the 35 minutes was split between 12 of us.
CC B -some places that do the dolphin swims, the dolphins were injured out in the wild and cannot be released back into the wild. And the place that I was talking about they do a few dolphin swims a day and they rehabilitate dolphins to put them back out in the wild if they can. But I think having large groups for a dolphin is worse than having Just a few people. And the place I was also talking about, if the Dolphins don’t feel like swimming they don’t make them. We ended up having to dolphins because one dolphin didn’t want to stay over with it’s group she wanted to come over to Work and they just let the dolphin swim around the pool how they want. So even though they are in captivity some of them it is because they cannot be released back out into the wild and they do enjoy working with people. Not saying all Dolphins in captivity like working with people I’m just saying that you can tell with the ones where we were, which ones wanted to work with people and which ones didn’t. And they didn’t force them to work if they didn’t want to work they just went and found a dolphin that would work that one too. But to me swimming with the dolphins isn’t hanging onto the dolphin and swimming letting it swim and hot polling you. Timmy swimming with the dolphins it’s just letting us swim around you while you’re swimming that is what I would like.
Don's Family Vacations that sounds fun. Have you ever been to discovery cove? The sting ray cove was literally the highlight of our day. Hundreds of sting rays from baby to really large. And as long as you follow the rules, you are allowed to touch them. My daughter had one that kept poking her belly and wanted her to put him on the top of his body and underneath his belly and every time she would put underneath his belly his flippers would flip like crazy. And then she’d stop and walk away from him a little bit, and then his swim around everybody just to get to her. And then he’d start poking her belly again until she started tickling him. Other people wanted to pet him, and he wouldn’t let anybody but her touch him. It was like the most beautiful site ever. Like this stingray knew that she was meant to do Amazing things with animals
Debbie Prokop Not anymore, and I think he has a daughter. Angelina is his nephew's (Paul) wife and is learning the ropes from Don to be a travel agent.
Need to watch "The Cove" or "Blackfish" and see how these beautiful animals are captured. It is just awful and heartbreaking just so tourists can have an experience with them and see them do tricks. It is just awful you had this in your video and I hope you never have paid to do swim with dolphins.
Hi Chuck, I am not sure about the story with the dolphins, but for the turtles, they had an information board about them. The reason they were there is, because they would not be able to live in the wild in the ocean, due to a condition they had. I am not sure what the name of it was, but it is something on their shell that would not let/allow them to dive deeper in the water to feed, etc. They were safer and looked after at the park.
@@angelina9286 That's one thing if taking in wildlife that cannot survive. It's another that where they take in dolphins and sea lions so people can swim with them. I did it years ago to my shame. Then I saw the bigger picture. I encourage you to watch The Cove.

Hi Don, hopefully you guys had a very very nice christmas and also I'm wishing that you are going to answer my question, I think this will be my 3rd time asking you. Do you still being a travel agent or you already quite?
Marta Campos He is still a travel agent. He did not quit.
Great video
Thanks Tim
I stayed on St Thomas so I wasn't in a rush to have to get back to a ship, but if your stopover is really long, I would see about a 1/2 day boat outing to the British Virgin Islands.
did the tour offered by he ship if you love snorkeling try to make time for the area beside Coral World it's a great spot and free
Thank you so much
You need a red filter for your camera under water. Then your video will actually show what you are seeing. My sister uses one on her gopro and is a diving instructor in Hawaii. Her videos show all the colors.
I cannot imagine, that someone finds Angelina s cute unicorn shirt offending......at a Carnival cruise.
Oh? I picked that shirt, because it says: I dont sweat, I sparkle!! What a better way to cover up if sweating while in a hot place, but to say it in a sweet and polite way? :)
Wow I don’t think I would go in a submarinie
How much was this excursion? Do you book with the cruise line or third party
It was about $50 through the cruise line
Don what is the music?.
where to begin by Sven Karlsson
Love her French accent.
Aww, Thank you Ann *blushes*
Wait. Throwing who out of the park? Did I miss something?
belindacat Yes, about midway through the video (6:37) Don's "eye spy" caught a couple who snuck into a restricted area to have their own up close and personal visit with the animals.
If you have never done the “helmet dive” you have to try it some time, it’s a blast and a half.
I've done it but a little much for Angelina for her first time baby steps
Going to the Camans’ in Feb. on “SKY” looking forward to trying the “snuba” it looks like fun.
Don, can Angelina swim?? She would have more confidence in a pool with an instructor
Can dog paddle :) more a fear than not being able to do it
Hi Sandra. I used to be able to, but had a scare, now I can only tolerate open water, if I can feel the bottom. Nothing deeper :(
@@angelina9286 sorry to hear of your scare.
BTW, Angelina is a lovely young lady…
yes she is I have a great family :)
Thank you Timsongs :) It was an amazing experience for sure. Fell in love with the horse I was riding, Mr.Leon
Agree, if people go in unauthorized areas or break the rules they should be kicked out.
Rubbish
So the 35 minutes was split between 12 of us.
try doing the sea Lion swim. smaller group and your all in the pool with the sea lions for about 45 min
Didn't know you have a cute, young, wife or girl friend! Good for you!
Are you married Don?
Debbie Prokop Not anymore, and I think he has a daughter. Angelina is his nephew's (Paul) wife and is learning the ropes from Don to be a travel agent.
Must be the same two people who don't like the vlogs...
lol
I encourage you to watch The Cove.
your repetition of this music is annoying!
Andy Lai so don’t watch. Easy solution. No need to comment.
Andy Lai Turn down the audio and just enjoy the scenery ... duh!!
