OMG - that build up and when drums come in at 1:35. Goose bumps. I was blown away by some outstanding drum playing on this. Overall fantastic musicmanship. Heard it about 10 times and cant get over it. Now released as an album as well.

+DanON Based on when this was recorded, he's either playing a Balanced Action or a Super (Balanced) Action by Selmer. I know he bought his SBA around 10 years ago from Tenor Madness in Waterloo, IA. Well, now that I see this was from 2014, I'd bet he's playing that SBA.

He's too hard on himself. He's one of the best saxophonists alive. And his sidemen are some of the best musicians in the world.

I am a 40-year player as well, it's somewhat satisfying to hear one of the true masters are never satisfied as well. Must be Jazz...
That's usually how the greats think and it's real. It is why they are great. They are always growing and evolving.
