Have you had a chance to visit this Dutch national park?

Yes I visited the park Hoge Veluwe a couple of times. Most times while camping on several camping sites in Lieren, Hoenderlo and Garderen and from there by bicycle through the region. The park is part of the larger region called Veluwe. I also was a conscripted infantry sergeant in 1974-1975 in Ermelo. We walked hundreds of km on the Veluwe. There are several military baracks and training grounds on the Veluwe and a very large shooting range too. One day we were very early in the morning on the Harskamp infantry shooting range and there were so many dears there. It was like a safari. But also while in a camouflaged infantry camp during the night lots of wild boars and dears. I enjoy it every time I visit.

I enjoyed this video because the Netherlands has always been a enigma to me. I enjoyed the history lesson 😌

I’m happy to hear! The Netherlands has such interesting topography and nature compared to the mountains, valleys and deserts in California.

You’re absolutely right! I would like to dedicate a separate video to the Kröller-Müller Museum and it’s exceptional works and Van Gogh’s. It gives me another reason to visit the park different times during the year 😊

They just closed the only route in the park you could drive by car, so now cycling is the only option!
