Sorg Opera House Tour- Middletown, Ohio

Andrew takes you on a tour through the historic Sorg Opera House in his hometown of Middletown, Ohio.
For years the Sorg Opera House has been closed to the public and left in rough shape. A new group is here, however, with plans to restore the house to the greatness it once was.

I live in Middletown to and I have been in the sorg opera house 4 time and I am only 11, I do dance a performance got canceled once and we came here and performed it for everyone

Back in 1984 Middletown Lyric Theater put on Dracula there. I was working on lighting along with my friend Kevin. They had just removed the movie screen and speaker before we started working on the play. Harry Finkelman owned it at that time. He would come around to do work in bibbed overalls. You'd never know he was a millionaire.

I can't tell you how many times I've dreamed about this place. I used to watch movies here in the late 1970s.

Great video, Andrew! I love that place! Krazy and I have actually played a show on that stage when we use to have a band together. I've been in that theater many times over the years and let me tell ya...it is FOR SURE haunted! I have had some experiences there that were undeniably ghosts

I live in Middletown as well and I heard that place is haunted I know that there was apartments in there at one point that people rented out but that was years ago back in the early 2000's

Yep it's TRUE I did a performance there and I went to the bathroom with my friends and the doors were shutting on there own and the lights would flicker and turn on and off

The 3rd balcony was where the slaves / black people would sit there is a small stare case from out side to where they would come in not to be seen I know a little bit of the sorg
