She knew her vocation aged 3! During her introduction in AGT The Champions (aged 13) she told the panel she’d been wanting to sing for Simon (Cowell) for 10 years! 3 and sorted! I’m 56 and still figuring out my direction 😂
I'm still new to the world of Angelina, but every time I see her singing I'm overcome with emotion that she's never going to be a person who is ever told she shouldn't pursue music exactly the way she wants. So fortunate to have been born into a family who recognized her gift from such a tiny age, and decided to let her explore it on her own terms as much as possible. So many people have an unbelievable gift, but are dissuaded from pursuing it or have to overcome odds to pursue it. She'll never experience that.

Nice reaction! That is Angelina in a nut shell. She always respect the song and do what is requred to bring out the best of it. It is never about her, although she has all the tools in her box. Next on the list was actually at 8, after she won NGT she sang at an outdoor concert. Her teeth are still growing, but you've got to see her poise on a little stage doing, Dinah Washington's 'What A Difference A Day Makes' which will blow you away, then skip past 'I Put A Spell On You'(already reacted to) at 9, to age 10 where she made several memorable videos. At 10, she STOPS sounding like a 10 year old. The first of 3 song is another classic('Feeling Good' ) orginally by Nina Simone(Both this song and 'I Put A Spell On You' were from her first album in 1964.) Angelina did 2 videos of the same song. One in the same outdoor venue where she sang, 'What A Difference A Day Makes" and the second on a stage with a full string and brass back-up orchestra behind her. The second song has a history behind it. From what I understand, there is no performance video, only a soundtrack to pictures of Angelina and a non related performance of Angelina and a band. The title of the video is called, 'Leaked' because Angelina sang it as a test, but because the adult content(suicide) was too, mature for a 10 year old to sing and, the writers of the song didn't want to change the lyrics. Angelina's family decided to pull out of the project. This song could've been a POP HIT. The title was, 'I'm Still Holding Out For You' One writer put the song out himself(What a a disappointment) Listen to Babby Fuzz's(composer) version before, Angelina's leaked MASTERPIECE. Which sounds better. The third song was the acoustic(best) version of 'Fly Me To The Moon produced at the tail end of 10 years. There's more to chronicle, if you're still interested. It's fascinating that so many people want her to perform popular and famous pieces! I want Angelina to sing things that she likes. To me, she appears as an artist with a will of her own and I fully support that. It seems that some people consider it very important that she becomes famous and wealthy. So be it, but I don't think she's selling her beautiful soul to mamon. I really appreciate her unique choice of songs.

Regarding fame and celebrity: There are many examples of children who became famous at a young age. Sometimes some of these have had difficulties later in life! Angelina's family wants Angelia to have a normal upbringing and be a child and teenager like everyone else. When Angelina is off from school, she has performed in tons of shows all over the world. Most were charity shows for children. Angelina has lived in several countries and traveled a lot during her upbringing. She is well aware of the different conditions that exist in different countries! Angelina and her family have turned down many who wanted to sign a contract with her. But at 14 yo, she signed on for the Republic record. The condition of this contract is that Angelina and her family decide when it is time to promote her fully.
Yep, that was when the world first took notice of this child with a voice and a knowledge of music which defied logic. She was raised in a family where love meant everything and her whole being is all about love. Even at this early age she came to understand the affect she had on people. There was one particular incident when an older woman came up to her to congratulate her for a wonderful performance and the woman told Angelina, "You made me cry'." Angelina apologized but the woman quickly replied, "Oh no! Keep doing what you are doing!" Michael, I know this might be hard to understand but she changed gears when she hit 10, of course her voice matured more, and people in the industry began to realize this 'kid' was someone very special. David Foster, Quincy Jones, AGT, Disney, all wanted to sign her but her family wanted them to agree to adhere to their 'demands' of how she should be handled. None of their answers suggested they would definitely do what was asked of them and so they were turned down. When you listen to her sing at 10 you will understand why everyone started to take notice, serious notice of what was going on. So much more to tell but enough for now. Glad you joined us on her journey. I know you will be tempted to sneak a look at what is going on with her in the current mode and, if you do, it will not lessen the affect she will have on you when you watch her when she was very young. Most of us have no problem of going back to watch some of our favorite video's from years ago and, you know what? We still tear up watching them! Musically she is beyond comprehension, a master at her trade, but there's more to it. It's 'who she is' which takes her over the finish line. Her soulfulness is genuine and it transitions into a form of pure love when we hear her sing and our hearts cannot resist.

In 2020 he managed to negotiate an agreement with Republic Records (parent company, Universal Music Group). It's my understanding she was signed up as their priority artist on the condition that she would not be commercialized until she reached maturity (e.g.: graduated high school, turned 18, etc.) and that she be given full artistic freedom (she said she has written 100+ songs). RR built a studio for her and she has pretty much any resource she wants, including people like Rob Christie, a 2x Grammy award winning producer who is the studio director for the L.A. area R.R. studio. You will see him accompanying her in several of her performances. RR seems to have kept their promise and have supported her for the last 4 years in gaining knowledge and experience and exposing her only as her family allows.

I know she’s still only very young but I can’t help but feel if she was American she’d be as big a household name as Taylor Swift by now. Maybe this will work in her favour and she will have a smooth and healthy rise to stardom, albeit with the right management team behind her. The reason she isn’t a household name as yet are many fold but predominantly that her family only signed with RR on the proviso she not be marketed until her education be completed and her family gave the go ahead. Angelina’s education has always been paramount for her fantastically supportive family. Her education is now complete..watch this space..As for writing sings, Angelina tells us she written over 100 songs of which 12 have been released. Please check out her recently released EP Old Enough (hint, note the name of the EP)
She just came out with an EP of originals last summer. And followed that with an original single that was picked up by Sofi financial for an ad campaign. In a live stream she said she has over a hundred songs on the shelf waiting. That’s on top of the EP, the single, and the half dozen or originals she released prior to the EP. She been writing music since she was 10. And the music she was writing at 10 is far deeper and more complex than anything Taylor Swift has ever dreamed of. She was sheltered from the industry by her family so she could have a normal childhood. That’s why she hasn’t had the exposure most child phenoms get. Now that she’s 18 it’s assumed her exposure will be growing exponentially.
In some of these early performances, I can hear Angelina actually singing beyond her physical ability. Her vision for the song is absolute to her. Amazing moment in her career. I listened to Angelina’s Gloomy Sunday and her second round of NGT acapella version of “I’m a Fool to Want You” several times before I checked out Billie Holiday’s versions and that made AJ’s performances go from amazing to mind-blowing! I’ve seen her quoted as saying,and might be a paraphrase…not sure… ‘If there was no Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan’ or words to that effect.
Billie Holiday changed the way ppl sang in general…..she was the first to let the mic do the work instead of trying project with more volume. The result being she could be way more expressive. ✌️

I commented under his comment because when i read it.. i thought that it sounded like him but i wasn't aware of the 'issues' with his voice/throat and the technicalities.. he explains that when visiting the doctor, the doctor put a tube down his throat so he could check if he was okay to sing (after pneumonia or something) and tells him to sing.. and he can with a tube down his throat so if i recall correctly he's saying that he sings with his throat muscles or something. Not ONE person had picked up Jimmy had written I did a google and saw an interview where he tells the same story. (the comment was in the first person). Next on the list was actually at 8, after she won NGT she sang at an outdoor concert. Her teeth are still growing, but you've got to see her poise on a little stage doing, Dinah Washington's 'What A Difference A Day Makes' which will blow you away, then skip past 'I Put A Spell On You'(already reacted to) at 9, to age 10 where she made several memorable videos. At 10, she STOPS sounding like a 10 year old. The first of 3 song is another classic('Feeling Good' ) orginally by Nina Simone(Both this song and 'I Put A Spell On You' were from her first album in 1964.) Angelina did 2 videos of the same song. One in the same outdoor venue where she sang, 'What A Difference A Day Makes" and the second on a stage with a full string and brass back-up orchestra behind her. The second song has a history behind it. From what I understand, there is no performance video, only a soundtrack to pictures of Angelina and a non related performance of Angelina and a band. The title of the video is called, 'Leaked' because Angelina sang it as a test, but because the adult content(suicide) was too, mature for a 10 year old to sing and, the writers of the song didn't want to change the lyrics. Angelina's family decided to pull out of the project. This song could've been a POP HIT. The title was, 'I'm Still Holding Out For You' One writer put the song out himself(What a a disappointment) Listen to Babby Fuzz's(composer) version before, Angelina's leaked MASTERPIECE. Which sounds better. The third song was the acoustic(best) version of 'Fly Me To The Moon produced at the tail end of 10 years. There's more to chronicle, if you're still interested. It's fascinating that so many people want her to perform popular and famous pieces! I want Angelina to sing things that she likes. To me, she appears as an artist with a will of her own and I fully support that. It seems that some people consider it very important that she becomes famous and wealthy. Most were charity shows for children. Angelina has lived in several countries and traveled a lot during her upbringing. She is well aware of the different conditions that exist in different countries! Angelina and her family have turned down many who wanted to sign a contract with her. But at 14 yo, she signed on for the Republic record. The condition of this contract is that Angelina and her family decide when it is time to promote her fully.

Yep, that was when the world first took notice of this child with a voice and a knowledge of music which defied logic. She was raised in a family where love meant everything and her whole being is all about love. Even at this early age she came to understand the affect she had on people. There was one particular incident when an older woman came up to her to congratulate her for a wonderful performance and the woman told Angelina, "You made me cry'." Angelina apologized but the woman quickly replied, "Oh no! Keep doing what you are doing!"
Michael, I know this might be hard to understand but she changed gears when she hit 10, of course her voice matured more, and people in the industry began to realize this 'kid' was someone very special. David Foster, Quincy Jones, AGT, Disney, all wanted to sign her but her family wanted them to agree to adhere to their 'demands' of how she should be handled. None of their answers suggested they would definitely do what was asked of them and so they were turned down. When you listen to her sing at 10 you will understand why everyone started to take notice, serious notice of what was going on. So much more to tell but enough for now. Glad you joined us on her journey. I know you will be tempted to sneak a look at what is going on with her in the current mode and, if you do, it will not lessen the affect she will have on you when you watch her when she was very young. Most of us have no problem of going back to watch some of our favorite video's from years ago and, you know what? We still tear up watching them! Musically she is beyond comprehension, a master at her trade, but there's more to it. It's 'who she is' which takes her over the finish line. Her soulfulness is genuine and it transitions into a form of pure love when we hear her sing and our hearts cannot resist.

In 2020 he managed to negotiate an agreement with Republic Records (parent company, Universal Music Group). It's my understanding she was signed up as their priority artist on the condition that she would not be commercialized until she reached maturity (e.g.: graduated high school, turned 18, etc.) and that she be given full artistic freedom (she said she has written 100+ songs). RR built a studio for her and she has pretty much any resource she wants, including people like Rob Christie, a 2x Grammy award winning producer who is the studio director for the L.A. area R.R. studio. You will see him accompanying her in several of her performances. RR seems to have kept their promise and have supported her for the last 4 years in gaining knowledge and experience and exposing her only as her family allows.

I know she’s still only very young but I can’t help but feel if she was American she’d be as big a household name as Taylor Swift by now. Maybe this will work in her favour and she will have a smooth and healthy rise to stardom, albeit with the right management team behind her. She does seem to have done almost exclusively cover songs, will be good to see if she gets more into the writing side of things in the future. Bohemian Rhapsody next Michael!

The reason she isn’t a household name as yet are many fold but predominantly that her family only signed with RR on the proviso she not be marketed until her education be completed and her family gave the go ahead. Angelina’s education has always been paramount for her fantastically supportive family. Her education is now complete..watch this space..As for writing sings, Angelina tells us she written over 100 songs of which 12 have been released. Please check out her recently released EP Old Enough (hint, note the name of the EP)
She just came out with an EP of originals last summer. And followed that with an original single that was picked up by Sofi financial for an ad campaign. In a live stream she said she has over a hundred songs on the shelf waiting. That’s on top of the EP, the single, and the half dozen or originals she released prior to the EP. She been writing music since she was 10. And the music she was writing at 10 is far deeper and more complex than anything Taylor Swift has ever dreamed of.
She was sheltered from the industry by her family so she could have a normal childhood. That’s why she hasn’t had the exposure most child phenoms get. Now that she’s 18 it’s assumed her exposure will be growing exponentially.

In some of these early performances, I can hear Angelina actually singing beyond her physical ability. Her vision for the song is absolute to her. Amazing moment in her career. I listened to Angelina’s Gloomy Sunday and her second round of NGT acapella version of “I’m a Fool to Want You” several times before I checked out Billie Holiday’s versions and that made AJ’s performances go from amazing to mind-blowing! I’ve seen her quoted as saying,and might be a paraphrase…not sure… ‘If there was no Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan’ or words to that effect.
Billie Holiday changed the way ppl sang in general…..she was the first to let the mic do the work instead of trying project with more volume. The result being she could be way more expressive. ✌️

For information, English is her 3rd language after Farsee and Norwegian. I commented under his comment because when i read it.. i thought that it sounded like him but i wasn't aware of the 'issues' with his voice/throat and the technicalities.. he explains that when visiting the doctor, the doctor put a tube down his throat so he could check if he was okay to sing (after pneumonia or something) and tells him to sing.. and he can with a tube down his throat so if i recall correctly he's saying that he sings with his throat muscles or something. Not ONE person had picked up Jimmy had written I did a google and saw an interview where he tells the same story. (the comment was in the first person). I'm aware that there is another reactor that Jimmy and his wife sent through a cook book to, so yes.. i do believe it was Jimmy. i've had a bit of a look to find the video but i've only watched a couple of them and I think i've only commented that time ony our channel and this time.. (sorry to be posting this on Angelinas thread.. she's another little legend.
