So what? Caitlin has to contend with being on the top of opponent's scouting reports. They're deliberately trying to stop or contain Caitlin whereas Reese isn't really getting that type of attention. Add to that, CC is a PG without a great handle and that's the hardest position in basketball and takes the longest to master. Still, her assist numbers are going up, her rebound numbers are solid, her steals are solid, she has the bonus of blocking shots and she has the ability to affect the game through both scoring and passing. That combo is why coaches need to contain her and try to get the ball out of her hands. CC is not afraid to throw the pass and if it results in a TO, so be it. So it's a different type of dawg mentality. I've seen video of CC in college cursing and demanding stuff from her teammates. She's a fierce competitor. So is Angel. But it just looks different.

Not really. First of all, there is half a season left to play. Angel hasn't played 20 games yet and Caitlin has played 20. Clark doesn't have to be consistent to still have her assists, blocks, rebounds and steals at a high level. Her points are probably lower now that she'll end up with. Angel doesn't offer the variety of ways to help her team that Caitlin does nor does is she number one on team's scouting reports like Caitlin is.

The stat lines don’t justify the ROY for Angel. The double double string is impressive and record worthy of course. However, Clark’s stat line works better for the ROY. The argument over TO’s is mitigated by video review that demonstrates that ~25-30% of the turn overs are teammate failure to catch or handle the pass, even though it is on the mark. Points is important, but every assist is a minimum of 2 points per assist. Rebounds are important but don’t always mean points resulted. That is a difficult stat comparison to overcome. Skip you fail to mention Angel’s o rebounds are about 10-15% of the time getting her own shots from three feet. There are video clips of Angel taking three shots but missing two and getting her own rebound from three feet, that my friend mitigates those o rebound stats.
Not necessarily, no one has 100% shooting rate.. Reese plays her position.. She isn't as efficient as Clarke but she gets the job done. Reese will not have as many assists as Clarke either given the position she plays.. Anyway will see how the rest of the season plays out but there isnt anyone else to include in the conversation, it's just CC and AR

The offensive rebounds just means she missed but she's in the paint, which has the heaviest defensive effort. Also, it can't be seen as a negative because she is keeping the play alive as well as playing offense and defense at the same time because she has to rebound, shoot, and then prepare to out rebound her own teammates and the other team's defense.

Not really. First of all, there is half a season left to play. Angel hasn't played 20 games yet and Caitlin has played 20. Clark doesn't have to be consistent to still have her assists, blocks, rebounds and steals at a high level. Her points are probably lower now that she'll end up with. The stat lines don’t justify the ROY for Angel. The double double string is impressive and record worthy of course. However, Clark’s stat line works better for the ROY. The argument over TO’s is mitigated by video review that demonstrates that ~25-30% of the turn overs are teammate failure to catch or handle the pass, even though it is on the mark. Points is important, but every assist is a minimum of 2 points per assist. Rebounds are important but don’t always mean points resulted. That is a difficult stat comparison to overcome. Skip you fail to mention Angel’s o rebounds are about 10-15% of the time getting her own shots from three feet. There are video clips of Angel taking three shots but missing two and getting her own rebound from three feet, that my friend mitigates those o rebound stats.
Not necessarily, no one has 100% shooting rate.. Reese plays her position.. She isn't as efficient as Clarke but she gets the job done. Reese will not have as many assists as Clarke either given the position she plays.. Anyway will see how the rest of the season plays out but there isnt anyone else to include in the conversation, it's just CC and AR

Also, it can't be seen as a negative because she is keeping the play alive as well as playing offense and defense at the same time because she has to rebound, shoot, and then prepare to out rebound her own teammates and the other team's defense.
