I grew up here. Around 40 years ago and it was a fine from what I remember. I left 15 years ago and I felt like it was going downhill. I hope it's doing better now.
i use to live in drums beech mountain lakes area on four season drive and at times I would have to stayed at the hotel on broad st the one next to the burger king which at one time was the holiday inn and i have to say the people who ran this hotel and the people that worked their was so nice and kind to me,being the only black person that stayed at this hotel a lot !i have nonething but kind words to say about them!you brought back some really good memories for me,i lot of the town people were really nice and i guess in every place you are going to have some rotton apples and racism!wow it seems that there are some new places that have been built!reguardless of the bad times i experienced i would love to move back !

This used to be a nice town, in the LAST 10-15 years it has become a DUMP and SO MANY people moving out! Families that were MANY generations who ALL grew up there, they JUST LEFT! MOST of what people remain are the low lifes that moved in and those who are too old to leave!

Estoy en Hazleton desde 2014, ha sido una buena experiencia; vivo proximo al aeropuerto, un vecindario muy apacible donde se puede vivir tranquilo.
