So forward but so gentleman like at the same time! Draw me in!
I was 27 yr old guy when this Dr. Hook song came out. I loved it back then, and now at 69 years old, I got chills hearing it again. Actually one of my most memorable songs of all time.
😮 my mom was 7 years old when this came out
Dennis still tours
I'm only 60..but I loved ALL of Dr. Hook's songs!!!!!
This song means a lot to me too. My dad and my father-in-law both love this song and Dr Hook in general. Both of them had the same old cassettes. Coincidentally, me and my wife danced to this song at our wedding. I'm guessing our dads paid the DJ booth 😂
I'm 54 years old and saw them in 79 at the Holiday inn in Jersey City, New Jersey.. I was only 9..but I'll never forget it.
They were a cool group of guys that had a good time together...
When music was magical..
Euler's Identity I didn’t say there isn’t great music today... I play and sing myself, and it’s pretty dang good 😎 it’s was still a magical time.. don’t be so quick to criticize, damn .. there’s always people on these comments wanting to get sideways, I’m not closed minded by the way... It was a special music and a special time, I guess you would have to be there....
Euler's Identity you were awfully quick to be closed minded yourself, first you assumed I was complaining.... and I wasn’t, then you assumed I live in a bubble.... LOL... if you only knew... seems like you are the closed minded one 😏
No one jammed out like the boomers did 🙏♥️
Most music these days is awful
Back in the day when we were clubbin’, this was one of those ‘last call’ songs, so everybody could get one last shot and figure out who they were going home with!
Dr. Hook... “only sixteen”
YES Only 16 is classic!
81? I'm 81 now. Wow! I'm subscribed now - wouldn't miss your reviews and reaction.
This song hit me so incredibly hard, My pops and I use to listen to this back in the day, Now hes not here and the lyrics ran across my head in such a complete different meaning. I dont think i've cried this hard in a while wow
One of Dr. Hooks best song ... This band was up there in the late 70s.
A real well crafted, layered song. I think it's actually an outstanding artistic performance!
The greatest pickup song ever!
Dr. Hook formed in New Jersey around 1967. Now The lead singer is alive and well and touring Europe. We’ll postponed till after Covid-19. His name is Dennis Locorriere. Ray Sawyer was the other main singer who passed away 12-31-2018. Ray had the eye patch from a car accident he was in and lost his eye. They were a great band who harmonized so well together. Loved that band....
So fun being young and in love when this kind of music was the soundtrack of a teenager's life. Back when music was music.
I'm 61, This song has gotten me in trouble more than once LOL
You definitely got the meaning of the song!!!! I remember this song form 1978!!! Ray Sawyer was the cowboy with the eyepatch...kind of the icon of the group...RIP Ray...
I love watching your reactions, India. I know you appreciate this song as much as we all do!
India Dr. Hook's lead singer was Dennis Lecorriere. He's still very much alive and still performing. Ray Sawyer is the guy who passed away. He was the guy with the eye patch. I'd love to see you react to Dr. Hook's A Little Bit More. It's a real pantie dropper! 😊
He has an interesting quality to his voice. So much great music.
It's amazing how those guys were able to make their voices blend to make they're unique sound.
He'll be 75 this year (2024) Love him ❤❤❤
Why hasn't this band's music been on the radio?
They do a Medley of songs from the 50ies. When the drummer John Wolters sings my curly hair goes straight and curls back up!
Dennis Locorriere (The bearded lead singer) is alive and well and living in England. He's still gigging, Covid permitting!
I love watching your reaction to all these oldies but goodies. Your the best
A LITTLE BIT MORE!!!! Great song!
The one who died was Ray Sawyer, the one with the eye patch. The lead singer Dennis Locorriere, is still alive.
The lead singer of this song is Dennis Locorriere. He is still alive, thank goodness! I fell in love with this song when it came out in 1978. I was only 14 years old and loved me some Dr. Hook! - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Locorriere
I have collected 65 of their songs and love them all. 👍👍
70’s were great
They look white van creepy, but they just draw you in.Mellow and smooth as hell.
Love that band.RIP Dr. Hook
I got a couple people turned on to Dr.Hook with their greatest hits Cd's. Some of their most underrated songs are Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Walk,Sexy Eyes, Sleeping Late, I Got Stoned And I Missed it,and Love Line. I used to have Pleasure and Pain and Players in the dark on vinyl a few years back. Their old 70's and 80's albums still hold up. They started off as a kind of stoner hippie, folk rock feel good band. They later turned into a more soft rock love song, disco type band. I like both era's
BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC...!!!!😉👍👍👍
"Sexy Eyes", if you like the vibe.
Charles Burris yes! I’ve requested that one and “a little bit more.”
Ray Sawyer was actually the bongo player on this song. He had the eye patch (thus the band's pirate influenced name). Dennis Loccorriere was the band's primary lead vocalist (and notably on this song) and he is actually still very much alive. I enjoyed your reaction. This song could be taken two ways and you saw it in the more innocent and vulnerable way.
Ohhh India ! You had the same reaction to this video that I do ! You didn't even stop this at all - like you usually do on videos ! 💕 Love Your reaction ! You need to listen to "SEXY EYES" !!! BY DR. HOOK . The lead singers name is DENNIS , he's still alive ! The guy next to him playing the BONGO or CONGOS with the patch on his eye is the one who passed away . PS Dennis is SUCH A BABE !! 💋💕💋
Dennis is still alive, but had major health problems last year.
Back when a love song was classy. Miss those days.
Ray Sawyer was the guy with the eye patch, he passed away....the singer was Dennis Locorriere, he's 70, still alive and well
India, the lead singer wasn’t Ray, it was Dennis Locorriere who’s still a really successful singer and songwriter today and is still touring the world. . I suggest you listen to ‘A little bit more’.
I was 16 when this song came out & IMMEDIATELY fell in love with it!! Such a romantic song, sexy too!! Love it so much 💝💝💝💝
I like the calm, smooth, gentle, polite vibe of the song.
Was 12 when this came out.Loved it the first time I ever heard it. Great song.
This was Dennis singing! Ray wore an eyepatch and cowboy hat. You need to hear Ray sing “Millionaire”!
Love this band
Lots of babies were made because of this song ❤😂
You got that right! 😉
And so polite by ASKING if she would LIKE to
Ray sawyer is the one with the patch on his eye! Ray is the leader of the group! The lead singer is Dennis!
Nothing quite like having a body in the trunk, some wind in your hair, cruising down the highway listening to Dr.Hook - Sharing the night together.
Love the band, they had many songs of feelings...
The main singer David is still singing and touring.....

You’re great! Love Dr. Hook and Bread!
"Sharing the Night Together" is a popular song written by Ava Aldridge and Eddie Struzick. Originally recorded by Lenny LeBlanc and then Arthur Alexander in 1976, the song was later a single produced by Ron Haffkine and performed by Dr. Hook from their album Pleasure and Pain.[1] "Sharing the Night Together" also appeared on most of Dr. Hook's following albums including Greatest Hits and Greatest Hits (and More).[2] It reached #6 in the U.S. and #3 in Canada in 1978, and #43 in the UK in 1980.
Carrie me Carrie...nothing like it...he helped his love thru her hard times, and just needed her to get him thru his...
Dream Team Neal! Laughter is better than tears
Dr Hook has for sure got many great songs
VERY COOL !!!! 👍❤️😎🎼🎼
I literally bumped into Sawyer at an outdoor concert. I was 19 and heading back to my seat with drinks and stepped back into him as he stepped back into me. He turned and gave me a huge smile, was very sweet, apologized, exchanged a few words, and got a little hug from him. He had a lot of energy. Saw him twice in concert. RIP
I call that the ultimate PERFECT LINE, extended version lol.
We also call that "Baby Making" music lol.
They were major for a long time. There older music is cool, but different.
Legendary but never got the recognition they deserved!
They did in other countries, just not in the States.
Great band, great songs!!!!
My favorite is the song She Was Only 16. Another good one is When Your In Love With A Beautiful Woman.
Your so amazingly beautiful just your reaction is so awesome to see and yes thats song is great
Cookie and Lila... beautiful story song...
I really love your reactions to this "old school music" - it was something, wasn't it? I still enjoy listening to Dr. Hook. 1978? I retired from the USAF in 1977 - I was right in the middle of all of this disco - loved it! Thanks for your reaction - it's wonderful.
Excellent song! India, you so 🔥 🔥 🔥

In the 70s bars was the place to meet people It was where lonely people met And hooked up It was a wonderful time music culture people
Cover of the Rolling Stone: Dr Hook Anybody agree, give me a like.
You mean the one where they barely know where they are, and anything goes....lol
Quit begging for like's.
Carry me Carrie
Sing one song for you
And so many more.
@@patwelch8187 I keep telling some of these reactors that they have to be careful which track they react to!
I've been to hundreds of concerts and it really depends on how messed up the band gets as to how good the concert is LOL
Try Sylvia's mother by Dr hook And the Medicine.
Very underrated band brand much joy
I was 6yrs old the year this song was released & heard such on Top 40 radio all the time, worth it & still is at 50yrs old Thursday 10-20-22.
