This is the first team I seen who really cares about defense and locks up and you can tell they all gotta bond brotherhood by the passing and connection with intensity I love it
It's great to see that much effort from a defense...but man is it infuriating to watch the white team dribble in to a trap every time they pass half court.
That has to be the most intense pressure defense I've ever seen on a high school level. It's obvious they have a great coach who instilled that kind of work ethic in them. I didn't see an overly flashy team. I saw a team that overwhelmed the other team with pressure and kept it up the whole game. That's a nightmare for the other team when it's that tough just to get the ball past half court. I wish I could get my kids to play that hard for four quarters.
I think the starting 5 should go to the same D1 college and run same defense and offense and promote mike bibby to head coach of them , I️ think they chemistry is one in a million
ballislife2351 blaze5053 who said some bout D1 ? Who even said a University, they Center 6’9 PF 6’7, SF 6’6, SG 6’3 point 6’2 y’all mus forget Dreymond Green a 6’7 PF n da nba ... If u can’t dribble the ball up the court how u gone use yo height to try to beat them ? Then they got heart and can shoot too , it be people like y’all go bet on Cavs and lose all yo money
ballislife2351 blaze5053 then they got a former nba starting point guard of a head coach Mike Bibby and Eddie House former point guard nba champion assistant coach, you don’t think these dudes kno what adjust to make if somebody try to break the press ... Come on now, y’all talkin bout sum dam height , basketball n football are chess games , if u can’t outsmart/outcoach opposing team u can’t lose, personnel and heart jus add on to the mixture
Damn that’s some stingy ass defense!!! I LOVE IT!!! Cats have to buy into what a coach is coaching to play that kind of defense. This the kind of team nobody wants to play.they make you earn it every single possession. Hope more videos of this team keeps getting posted so I can check them out and share them with young players of today
Shadow Mountain plays really hard. I'd like to see them against better competition overall. Seems like #10 in white was the only one on the level. Then again, good defense can have that effect sometimes.
Looks like Mike Bibby is their coach, I would assume they play with an extra amount of confidence and toughness. Love watching HS basketball team highlights and noticing that stuff. Thumbs up if you noticed that too.
True that. He always kinda had that, not fat, but just not defined look...Then again the guy has ran more miles then I ever will so Im not gonna hate on the guy. Penny has a good squad in Memphis and obviously Brand Roy's Nathan Hale team was awesome. Anybody else know of Ex NBA guys coaching high school teams?
You mean when he didn't get a steal? Yeah, that was great. But as great as his "almost steal" was, it doesn't cancel out all the times people blew by him as if he weren't even there.
Allahs Daddy a lot of the time he leads his defender right into the center and paint for contested/contact shots how is that bad defense... it's not like he's giving them the whole baseline to work with on reverses or wide open paint lay ups. Leading the ball handler into the center on a lot of the plays is the best he can do anyways with all the traffic in the post that's not a easy shot unless you just tower over everyone.
If the first thing you think when you see ballers wearing shorter shorts is that they’re “gay” or “sus”, then you either don’t ball or your masculinity is hella fragile. Or probably both. Back in the day the shorts were short. It’s worn like that because it offers less restriction and allows them to have more agility and move faster.
#2 got schooled and plays no defense, #10 needs some supporting cast n they’ll be decent! But how long the blue team leave their starting 5 in for or second team lmao😂
LOL a lot of people looked down on Lavar’s tactic of pressing all day. But looky here these boys killing it with the same tactics. I mean don’t get me wrong, these kids are much much better defensively than them chino hills boys, but it’s the same tactic.
If I was hand checkin like that they'd call my shit 😂😂 but because they "shadow mountain" they get away with all these reaches. I wish someone would try to press me like that. That's how you get your shit crossed 😂
Seems like blue team never changes out the starting 5 like theyy dont care if they get injured just wanna keep putting up point. Savage af but smart im not sure about that.
One of the main things I don’t like about basketball is how cocky everyone seems to be. It’s rare you see humble guys who have great talent. But I guess that’s what everyone wants nowadays.
Shemar Morrow. Birthday 1/24/01 according to NBADraftnet. Many other players on their roster do not have their age on other sites. Jovan Blacksher could pass for Kanye West currently and he's a junior... early developers maybe.
You see the same shit in AAU ball. Teams stacking with kids that are 18-24 months older than the average kid for their division. And that is alot in regards to physical development at that age.
It does when they're seniors. I was a sophomore in college when I was 19. I get that they're on varsity and playing against other 17-18 year olds, but I'd like to think most kids could play a little better against adolescents that were 2 years younger than them their senior year. Imagine Kobe or Lebron's senior years if they had "re-classed." Its a joke and needs to be fixed. Dude was driving himself to games his freshman year in high school... 1 year of experience/growth/maturity during teen years is huge for a male and just to re-take a full year of middle/high school so you can have a nothing more than a physical advantage over your competition is a waste of academic resources. If they're talented and age has nothing to do with it, like you say, why re-class?
People that guard too hard and too close are easy to cross but the point guards in white panic when they start playing hard defense on them and pick up they dribble
Now Bibby just has to try and teach them some class. He also needs to call the dogs off being up 40. no reason to have anyone in the backcourt once up 80-46.
White team has potential though.. I know it's high school but it seems like it's just a lack of coaching.. work big man down low or run some plays that involve him. I don't know..what do I know...
NEW*** Shadow Mountain vs Sierra Canyon - "GAME of the YEAR" NOMINEE

Caleb O'Donnell lol we can say it’s easy to break it but think about it if your in their shoes
These dudes gotta be running cross country and track or some shit .... their conditioning had to be crazy
ok finally someone else sees this like their cardio workouts i neeeed them
Shane Bryant ik number 2 wasn’t even sweating
mike ill gaming I stg
Mike Bibby is they’re coach. They pretty solid on both ends

Heartbreaktay 22 dude all it take is one ball handler and a smart coach who knows where to put his players and there "Little" press is broken.
There not big enough to be a d1 starting 5 and actually win...
blaze5053 exactly that shit ain’t working on d1 level
ballislife2351 blaze5053 who said some bout D1 ? Who even said a University, they Center 6’9 PF 6’7, SF 6’6, SG 6’3 point 6’2 y’all mus forget Dreymond Green a 6’7 PF n da nba ... Penny has a good squad in Memphis and obviously Brand Roy's Nathan Hale team was awesome. Anybody else know of Ex NBA guys coaching high school teams?
corndog984 for real, for real
One of the cheerleaders was cheering for wrong team. She tryna get chosen.
Who else agrees that white number 10 was damn impressive
Disagree. He had some nice plays on offense - creative drives and couple of nice assists -- but his D was absolutely horrible.
Allahs Daddy well one person can’t be a great team of 5
Allahs Daddy go tell me his defense is bad @ 10:28
You mean when he didn't get a steal? Yeah, that was great. But as great as his "almost steal" was, it doesn't cancel out all the times people blew by him as if he weren't even there.

Mans got up on that jumpball
Number 10 cookin number 2 lmao
Every shout from the crowd is "travel" 😂
#10 get hella props
for losing nd talking shit to someone younger than him? who crossed the shit outta him? yeah props
that charge was the freshman kid's highlight for the year😂😂he was psyched
#10 was going crazy on #2 😂
Shadow mountains defense hypes me up like fucking jeez..
Junior Alexandre why did you feel the need to type that?
WLT 30 because a few people in the comments below mentioned how the shorts were short
Now you know we wear our shorts like that cause we think it’s fly 😂😂
Jeremiah Gardner that too 😂😂😂 but that’s the reason behind it even though people don’t know
They got some top flight security gaurds 😂
This blue team starting 5 are all D1 talent who agrees ?
I bet their bench players are pretty dirty too
Nope
Can’t agree
This team's defense is sum serious
Arturo Gutierrez 52 nah they not going against comatention
Never seen a 40 point blow out more competitive in my life lmao
Does the point guard for shadow mountain #1 play aau for the Compton magic?
Tony Reed. Yes.
Aye let’s go AZ! My homie used to go to shadow that’s crazy 🙌
Damn these dudes are on full throttle non-stop, I'm kind of angry. Nice game!
#10 White was clownin #2 blue
shit he lost though lol
#2 got schooled and plays no defense, #10 needs some supporting cast n they’ll be decent! But how long the blue team leave their starting 5 in for or second team lmao😂
Luciano Paredes he does play defense watch the other shadow mountain games
Tracy McGrady ain’t talking bout other games
Luciano Paredes you sound fucking stupid the nigga was play defense the whole time dumbass. You just don't know what defense is cuh.
#10 in white was destroying #2 lol
RadianceULT h)
#2 got WORKED!
number 13 on white teams looks like Neji from Naruto with the hair and headband😂
Lotta slashing and swatting...... meanest blowout defence since Rodman was with Thomas in Detroit I'm weak zipping up and down the floor
LOL a lot of people looked down on Lavar’s tactic of pressing all day. But looky here these boys killing it with the same tactics. I mean don’t get me wrong, these kids are much much better defensively than them chino hills boys, but it’s the same tactic.
Number 10 balled out
Number 10 a dog. N still ain’t back down
This defense will work as long as teams have poor ball movement or are uncomfortable moving at a relatively fast pace
#15 is the BackBone straight up
#13 Tempe he chill
Lit Gaming fr he was giving everyone a hand when they fell
#5 on shadow looks like dangelo russell with markelle fultzs’ body type
i love their defense. looks like they play okay competition too
1:46 apparently clapping for #5 is better than sex 😂
If I was hand checkin like that they'd call my shit 😂😂 but because they "shadow mountain" they get away with all these reaches. I wish someone would try to press me like that. That's how you get your shit crossed 😂
Nah #10 on Tempe is something serious!! If he played on a team full of players like him, they couldn’t lose!!
My old schooollll GO SHADOW!
Ik S.M got clamps but they don't get enough fouls called on them fr
There's no such thing as too flashy lmao. It's a sport.
I literally didn’t see any flash ?
0:18 found markel fultz 😂
Someone at the end yelled “y’all booty”😂😂😂
that #10 in white was doin the start up in kyrie's rhythm dribble at 8:55 lmao nigga got sauced
12:13 why this man trynna do too much haha
Imagine coming to a video about a bunch of boys playing basketball, and focusing on their shorts lol...then calling them sus.
Ok Ok 4:08...bad ass take.. I see ya #25...
God damn i love seeing defense driven teams, shits how the game is played!
This is a great team
Them youngins go hard. I see a 3-peat for state championship for Shadow mountain.
#10 was so humble unlike that #2 kid on SM
#10 the one who started talking first lol and #2 younger, and crossed the shit out #10
Seems like blue team never changes out the starting 5 like theyy dont care if they get injured just wanna keep putting up point. Savage af but smart im not sure about that.
#1 looks like Kanye West
One of the main things I don’t like about basketball is how cocky everyone seems to be. It’s rare you see humble guys who have great talent. But I guess that’s what everyone wants nowadays.
This D1 bound team has effort
Its like every player on their team is nice
#2 on SM and #10 on Tempe defensive as hell on each other, both of them struggled to get around
#1 for shadow moutain looks exactly like the kid from Compton Menace team
They up 40 still in a full court press.. that is just disrespectful.
These dudes are all over the place the team defense is very disruptive intense aggressive and physical the speed and quickness and they all can score
#15 tuff💪🏾🤟🏽what’s his name
#10 on Tempe can play. He's probably the normal age for his grade too. Dudes on Shadow turning 17 during their sophomore season!
Mike Vischer who? Name the player?
Shemar Morrow. Birthday 1/24/01 according to NBADraftnet. Many other players on their roster do not have their age on other sites. Jovan Blacksher could pass for Kanye West currently and he's a junior... early developers maybe.

howd they lose with black post malone
#2 from Shadow Mountain is NASTY 😳🔥
And #10 was working #2 damn 🤦🏽♂️
Damn the cheer leaders even lost confidence.
People that guard too hard and too close are easy to cross but the point guards in white panic when they start playing hard defense on them and pick up they dribble
Team is down by 40 and they smiling like they're making a run...
Why are their shorts so short??😂😂
#2 with the headband 2021 WNBA MVP you heard it here first
Manny Christian shadow mountain feasting!!!
Is that Mike Bibby?
Mike D yeah
We need refs like this 😅
All shadow mountain does is reach and hand check and foul on defence. They should be getting called everytime on it
That trap defense is the only reason they win games, there active hands on defense is crazy, just to fast. But that offense needs a little work
Now Bibby just has to try and teach them some class. He also needs to call the dogs off being up 40. no reason to have anyone in the backcourt once up 80-46.
can someone explain the meaning of sus for those that dont understand? including me
5 steps at the 1:06 mark. Travel. Of course, the ref isn't watchung.
White team put a good fight tbh. At least they didn't quit
#2’s dad is Eddie House. UA-cam Rafer Alston (skip to my Lou) slaps Eddie House 😂😂😂
This is illegal 😂
-ICarry RandomZ I
Im seeing no calls for the white jersey team. Most of those traps are not being called.
12:20 not one single person watching the game
10 needs a better supporting cast
#5 look like markelle fultz
The Ref not making any calls this team is too physical on the defensive end
Like to see them play some ranked teams
White team has potential though.. I know it's high school but it seems like it's just a lack of coaching.. work big man down low or run some plays that involve him. I don't know..what do I know...
it's just man to man
They have to be running track they never get tired. But someone tell me y at least 7 of them can go to a D1 school and just ball out?
J House. is cold but i hope he gets cooked so he can humble himself lol.
Bruh how many times is #11 gonna get the ball stolen from him before he gets taken out of the game?!
11 didnt turn the ball over...
2:28 dime af
Is that Mike Rashid’s son @ 11:18?
I mean S. Mountain is a solid team but put them in the East side they gonna get a run for they money every game
Play teams like Memphis East and see if their defense is still the best
This the only team that can beat the warriors 😨
Mauro Garza hope this is a joke
