People say Boston's defence was so much better than Ottawa last year but that is incorrect. Look at the advanced stats. It was Ottawa goaltending aka Korpisalo that was more the problem. Boston fans you better hope he fits into your system better than he did in Ottawa
Lol ottawas d was shit bro, advanced analytics don’t do anything because chabot and Sanderson carried the load defensively, even sogard had bad numbers, and none of there forwards are defensively responsible, korpi has been a a decent goalie his whole career minus 2 bad years in cbj one post injury and last year playing on one of the most dysfunctional locker rooms and cultures currently in the NHL. New owner and GM are changing it over there slowly but Ottawas goalies have struggled for years because of the D and the forwards that just don’t play 2 ways
And Bostons D is way better this year than it was last year and last year they were a better dcore that Ottawa easily, now lohrei is a year older, zadorov, peeke is healthy and they still have there big 3 lmao 😂, last time he played for a good team his GAA was sub 2.2 and SVP was .910 without goalie bob lol he’ll be fine no bruins fan want him to be the 60 game starter but as a backup, and someone who can come in and play 8-10 games if need be while swayman decides what he wants to do
Y’all are obviously more in the know than the casual fan, but how can you say Sway wants this or Sweeney has offered that? All these rumors are what they are rumors and they are great reads, videos, and clips.
Like a lot of diehard fans I’m following along as well, looking at all sorts of media reports and I haven’t found one concrete piece of evidence that Sway wants $XM or Sweeney offered $XM.
But I will say that it’s not a good look and Sway’s agent doesn’t thrill me. This isn’t the Laughs.
I still think Sweeney has fumbled his goalies and the Korps and The Bus era starting the year doesn’t thrill me. Korps will be better but I don’t have a lot of confidence riding him into the playoffs with hopes he can steal a series or Cup.
Sign Johnson to be back up.. maybe some games on 3rd and 4th line. I'd still use Poitras on wing for now with Coyle and Brad. Eventually Poitras as 2nd line C.
The bruins are in a difficult situation.The young guys need to play and prove themselves but the bruins needed to get bigger so they did.But they all can't play because of the numbers.
Tyler Johnson was also a great screen on Lysell's goal.
Ottawa is not a "terrible team"

If Bs don't get a top 6 pure LW to play with Pasta & Lindolm, I can see Johnson in the mix but the guy is another 35 something player with a lot of miles on his skates and small in stature so he is not what you want in a playoff run.
Pretty sure there gonna put Zacha on that line, when Zacha is playing with pasta and now a reliable top 6 Center man, he’ll be good for 70+ he’s hit 60 last few seasons so, but I do agree I could see Johnson on line 2 if no one separates themselves for that 2nd line wing spot. One thing that’s kinda nice with us not signing sway yet if it does linger on into the season at the deadline will have that much more cap to play with, I’d obviously rather have our goalie but not at 9-10 million
No way the Bruins want an unproven Goaler on an 8 yr. big money contract.

I was there for the Swayman chats end of last year. That said Hags is right. Swayman is risking a lot. He is playing chicken without ever being the number one.
Unlike other sports NHL pays for performance not promise. And he has not yet produced that body of work.
Korps and Bussi will get the job done, this is a team game so let Swayman and his overpriced ego walk
Brick is the best… actuslly second best after Jack…. New guy seems like he might just be ok… I hope he doesn’t take himself too seriously… hopefully he and Brick will play off each other like we are used to… I can only pray he doesn’t turn into some boring by the book in under so common throughout the league…

Jack was awesome but he was one. of a kind. Brick is second to none when it comes to analysis - he breaks down the game simply and doesn't waste any words.
