I was trying to get Alexa to play Night Visions, but couldn't remember the 'Visions' in the title, so I just said "play songs by AJ! McLean" & Night Visions was the 2nd song she played, THIS was the 3rd. It's been on "repeat song" for about 45 mins now. I absolutely love it. And tomorrow (April 19, 2021) is my daughter's 15th birthday, so it's hitting home. Sadly, her father passed away on her 5th birthday, so I can't get his reaction, but I think I can see him crying his eyes out. He was a professional musician himself, so I can totally picture him learning the song & actually playing it at her wedding, had he lived long enough. 😢 But it's absolutely beautiful, AJ! This is a masterpiece. I really love the quieter vocals, then really belting it out in the final verse. I've always LOVED your voice & this really shows how gifted you are. Years ago I was the singer in a band. We never did anything amazing but we had a manager that put a fair amount of money into us. Some of that paid for a very expensive vocal coach. That vocal coach listed this guy as having one of the best voices of active musicians at the time. This was before the BSB had made it really big and were just touring all over Europe. I couldn't understand what he was talking about. How can a guy in a boyband be such a great singer. We used to talk about how in live performances, he would struggle to control his voice but then he explained that was because he had such a powerful instrument and was still learning how to use it. If you listen to AJ now compared to back then, he is so much better and yes, he still has one of the best voices in the music business.
