Today we are exploring our FIRST EVER FLOATING MARKET IN BANGKOK #thailand
In this vlog we will be visiting two floating markets.The Damnoen Saduak floating market and the Amphawa floating market. Although these days in many places floating markets have become mainly tourist attractions, for many decades they were part of Thai daily life, until the motorbike supplanted the boat. Their origin dates back to the reign of Rama IV, when between 1866 and 1868 a 32 km canal was created to join the Mae Klong and Tha Chin rivers.
The inhabitants of the area carved out 200 small canals, and the floating markets began to appear.
Damnoen Saduak is the most famous and most popular: having been in films like The Man With the Golden Gun, and Bangkok Dangerous. This is a market with shops both floating and in boats, selling clothes, gifts, food, and drinks. There are souvenir boats, pad thai boats, ice cream boats (try the coconut flavor), fruit, drinks! Personally we found the Amphawa market to have more locals roaming around and that is what we love best.

It's good that you guys are travelling to make travel videos, i don't wanna sound pessimistic honestly but your child is very small usko leke itna ghumte ho aplog frequently... don't you think she must be getting tired of travels and she might wanna feel like settling at home or wid frnds or going to school. I just got this thought and sometimes we forget minor things about kids. Love your videos though:)

For us the important thing with being a parent is to give our child the exposure we didn’t have as children. For her to practically experience things and learn them whether it’s in person or through books. We spend 24/7 with our little one and that is more important to us both then sending her to school. We would have done the same if we didn’t travel too as I always dreamt of homeschooling my child. It’s a new approach to life/parenthood but it’s just the way we feel like we can be involved in her life and have a positive impact from a young age. Ofcourse there’s nothing wrong with the traditional schooling approach and the routine life most people thrive for but it just wasn’t for our family 😊
